  • How does off-brand printer ink compare to "genuine" ink cartridges? I try out LxTek ink- amzn.to/2s52nsT in my HP printer and looks for problems and compare print quality between the $22 LxTek ink set and the $150+ HP Brand Inks.

    Thank you! I wondered about the clear plastic tabs over the holes where the ink comes out and almost pulled one off before finding your review.

    I've used a few brands and have had no problem. Glad you finally tried it out. Just read reviews before switching brands so you don't get a bad cartridge.

    Very Helpful video! I had bought the full set of ink from the OEM (I own an HP printer) and those cartridges didn't even last me the whole month very disappointing.

    I bought a laser jet printer, and love it. It prints faster, and lasts a lot longer. I also have an ink jet but rarely use it.

    I heard of people using some kind of refill kits or something. I don't really know. And they experienced the leak problem. Maybe it was because of user error by peeling that plastic off. I only bought ink cartridges from the stores like staples or target. But now I am wondering about that value pack on amazon because it is such a deal! $15 for blank cartridge and tricolor cartridge vs $52 of oem hp.

    Can we use off-brand with brand at the same time?. For example, off-brank B with brand for the rest?

    There's a company called LD ink Cartridges. Can you review those? They sell for $7 what Epson charges over $60 for.

    I had several bad experiences with self re-ink on my several Canon printers. It damaged all my 3 Canon printers over the years. I was really annoyed with my Canon Printer. Everytime I was lured to the dark side, I totally damaged the printer even though I bought the original after that to try saving the printer. Now with my current Canon printer, I had to buy 6 different color cartridges which cost me 23 bucks for color and $26 for the pure black and larger cartridge. I am now waiting for an excuse to throw away my Money Guzzling printer and change to Epson brand which cost $9.90 per color. It only uses refill bottled ink and it prints like 6-7 thousand pages instead of 2-3 thousand pages at a higher price. I am looking forward to the new printer.

    It is not at all safe to assume that the OEM HP ink already in the system will have been purged by the third print

    My ink for my hp printer is only $20 bucks for black and color. My printer is set up to where they know when I'm running out and they send me ink through the mail!! I saw thy have some that will fit my printer, but mine are $4 cheaper!!

    • @EpicReviewGuyz
      @EpicReviewGuyz  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like already have the better deal. Some printers only have two cartridges- one for black and one for color. With having three separate color cartridges you have to spend a lot more.

    The price of printers is not bad - its the ink they get you on!
    Why is it so expensive anyway - it's $#@*& ink!
    $5.00 per cartridge sounds more fair.

    Please report on the archival quality of the inks. HP claims that their inks are archival quality and will not degrade over time with exposure to UV light, time, etc. This is important for people who are artists and designers who want their work to last and aren't just generating endless BS paperwork where it doesn't matter if the ink is crap and discolors over time. Thanks!
