My Keene Dredge 6" has a punchplate but it is at the head not the foot of the sluice. I like watching other ideas, this show is great.

Mine was the same way. I don't know why they didn't run the punch plate the length of the sluices box. Maybe the quickest fix. Or maybe put a grizzly and a spray bar on the top of the shaker.

The punch plate was wrong. It should have been sideways and staggered holes.

Why don't you explain why slits should be sideways to the run, instead of just dictating it??? And I like the slits running with the sluice because I think it allows some time for that gold particle to drop out of suspension, especially with so much water being used.
