This loss is so incredibly painful for so many loved ones. But, as a parent, my heart aches deeply to see their father in complete agony having to walk behind his son’s caskets and bury his children. The anger and sadness I feel for such a senseless and horrific outcome. May God be with them all. So much love from Calgary 💕
As a Dad, I can't imagine losing my two sons. I can see what they meant to Guy. Hold their memory in your heart forever. RIP brothers, you are going to be missed by all family and friends.
I cannot get over that poor Gaudreau family today and when I saw Guy Gaudreau (Johnny and Matthew's father) trail the caskets in absolute tears leaving the church I could have died myself. May the entire family have much strength and courage to come out of this grief over time and also to celebrate two precious lives. In loving memory.
thank you John. for not only bringing a spark to Calgary but bringing so much to my home towns community. You made a huge difference to us kids growing up. Scoring playing street hockey or mini sticks and saying “he shoots he scores, Johnny Gaudreau.” Thank you for those memories. You have a special place in my heart
@@SaanichtonMinistriesI know that the Priest who led the service definitely lifted up the name of Jesus Christ repeatedly throughout the service. I am not Roman Catholic but this was a very poignant well done service given the horrific circumstances. Fly High Johnny and Matthew❤️My heartfelt condolences to Johnny and Matthew’s family and friends.❤️👏
I was gutted to hear about these two young men. I can't imagine what their family has gone through. I send my prayers & condolences to the whole family. I could not watch the video due to the tears but pray for the Gaudreaus & pray Johnny & Mathew can RIP forever.
This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever watched in my life. Literally hyperventilating trying to breathe. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this day has been for their wives and families. For the love of God people please don’t drink and drive.
I wanted to watch this but I can’t. I lost my brother 5 years ago and it just brings back to many memories. I do wish I went with him thought the loss of a brother so close never heals. I’m so sorry to the family’s. I’ll make sure my brother Adam shows them the way❤❤❤❤❤
Goodbye and Rest in Peace Johnny and Matthew. You inspired so many people to be more like you and your legacy even outside of hockey will last forever. Gone but never forgotten. Prayers to the families and friends
RIP Johnny and Matthew. Condolences to their family, loved ones, their very young children and soon to be born children that are left behind. Condolences to the grieving parents, wives, and best friends. The stories are beautiful and very sad to hear. So glad they loved each other so much during their very short lives. God bless their family.
On the evening of August 29, 2024, Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were struck and killed by a driver who later failed a sobriety test, while they were cycling in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. The pair were both cycling at around 8 p.m. and were hit from the rear by a motorist who was attempting to pass other vehicles on a single-lane rural highway. Police responded to the incident at 8:19 p.m., both brothers were found dead at the scene by the time the police arrived. The driver was arrested for suspected drunk driving and charged with death by auto, after telling responding officers at the scene that he had consumed "five or six" beers before driving and continued to consume alcohol while operating the car; he failed a breathalyzer test when administered by police, along with failing a field sobriety test. As a lifelong cyclist, whose uncle, Danny Butler, was the #2 US Road Cyclist in 1967 in the US, and competed in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, it sickens me that cyclists are routinely injured and killed by vehicles. These reckless and negligent operators often get little or no serious consequences by blaming the cyclists themselves.
R.I.P. John and Matthew 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️May our Mother of Sorrows comfort and embrace all the Gadreau family members, extended family and acquaintances with consolation and love🙏🏻💙🙏🏻😢
Very touching eulogy by both wife's of the gaudreau brothers. Lives taken way to short by a very bad decision maker. Rip brothers for ever. You will be missed by many. Watch over your children and wife's.
Two lives cut way too short. May they rest in peace 😢. The world is a lesser place without Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau And for everyone who enjoys drinking alcohol…please, do not drink and drive. Order a ride share or have someone else drive you back. But do not get behind the wheel.
RIP Johnny and Matthew. May God find strength and courage for the Gaudreau family during this absolutely tragic time. This is gut wrenching. No words to describe this tragedy. RIP🙏
Rip 🕊️🕊️ It was such a good time watching them both play and they both did not deserve to go like this, condolences to the families and friends. Fly high boys 🕊️❤️😭🏒🥅
So difficult to watch. I actuallt sobbed and had to blow my nose. She was holding in complete bawling, every second of speaking. Question - who is the guy standing next to hr at the alter?
It doesn't matter how soon the wives remarry it doesn't take away them losing their 1st loves, husband's and children's fathers. They are and will always be bonded to these men no matter how soon they remarry. Everytime they look at their children they will see these men and remember the experiences these men had in and on their lives. Being with someone else doesn't change love
The wake up call is death! You never know when it will strike anyone of us! The solution is to pray and read your Bible. Do not find yourself lost and practicing sin when you die. Never assume you have years ahead of you! There is for everyone an appointment to die, then the judgement. Repent of sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.
@@nileswillis7992 Wise up and get saved. BTW that idol of Mary will not save you or help you. Stop feeling comfortable in majorities of unbelievers who pretend there is no God and no judgement.
I just remember how excited I’d get watching the flames with my dad, them coming back every game. Johnny was always in the middle of it, he was so good. He was just some tiny little kid lighting it up nobody could touch him. They’d try to hit him and he’d just spin off of them like nothing. The backhand sauces he would make were so insane. He always scored the most clutch goals he sure was special. To draft him in the 4th round, turned out he was the best player of his draft year. I started playing hockey in grade 7 that’s when I really started watching hockey and the flames and it was Johnnys rookie year I was really small too I really looked up to Johnny hockey. All I wanted was his jersey for my birthday I ended up getting a shirt but that was my favourite shirt man rest in peace Johnny hockey I hope somehow someway one day you find your way back to the flames. I’ll be waiting.
Yes - Acts 4:12 - "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." I must point out that it can be wishful thinking to say RIP when people die. If you are a atheist, false religionist, or a typical secular humanist who practices sin, the Bible says we have no inheritance in the Kingdom of God where there is no rest or peace... God is a consuming fire we fear

Worst day ever, watching that made me cry. Listening to the wives and hearing all the great things they had done together in such a short time. RIP

Why would you put ads on this video?
