As a massive book girlie I’m so happy for you becoming a reader. Don’t force yourself into the fantasy. Slowly take your time. There’s a lot of world building and some of the books are a good 5-8 books in a series. So some could be boring at the start but push through it as those books become amazing especially towards the end ❤
I saw you pick up a good girls guide to murder. It’s a great series and very entertaining. It was very easy to read and the intrigue had me on the edge of my seat! Definitely should check it out if that kinda thing is up your alley.

Meet me at the lake was disappointing but I finished A thousand boy kisses last week and really liked it. It was a bit cliché and over the top but the emotions I had while reading this book were crazy. I cried a lot! Hope you like it as well! ❤

Fantasy can be intimidating hahaha Whenever you do feel ready to get into fantasy I highly recommend Fourth Wing! It looks so thick but you’ll fly through it and it won’t feel so big! It was my first fantasy book and the whole fantasy backstory was easy to understand and grasp. There is also maps that make it easy to understand also where they are talking about. It gives Hunger Games x Divergent so I know you’ll love it!
Archer’s Voice made me cry 😭 it was so good!! A good romantasy to start with is the Once Upon A Broken Heart series, Divine Rivals was also really good.

It will make you fall in love with the fantasy genre.❤ Also the first book is not that long for a fantasy (400 pages or so) so you can get into it really easy. The romance in this series is one of the best I’ve ever read.🥰 Have fun reading!
Emma, I've also been to Barnes and Noble myself, years ago, and I used to love reading various books with my mom, with different titles of stories from 'The Berenstain Bears', and 'Curious George', one of the most well-known kids classic TV shows on PBS Kids. Plus, I used to love playing with the little 'Thomas and Friends' wooden track table, that most of our local stores had, as well!

if you liked Better Than The Movies I think you'll like The Deal! I remember reading those back to back and in a way they're kind of similar, but The Deal is definitely more spicy lol. You should also invest in a kindle, it is definitely convenient and saves so much space.
lynn painter is definitely my favorite author. i’m currently reading “the love wager” too. i got “betting on you” and “mr wrong number” for christmas. i’m the most excited about reading “betting on you” next because i’ve heard a lot of good things about it and how it’s apparently right up there with “better than the movies” on terms of star ratings. and “better than the movies” is my absolute favorite book
