im glad they took their time onstage and im very happy with how it played out. i was worried people were going to call them unprofessional (which is ridiculous considering their first language is korean) but im so happy people didn't. not only did they get to showcase their thanks, but their personal selves and personality. they deserved that win and more.

I’m not even a k pop or army Stan but it’s no way anybody can say that they don’t deserve this award. You can tell they work their ass off and put effort into everything they do.
What hit me the most when I saw this was actually the moment when Suga and RM hugged each other first after the announcement. Both of them were the first two members to join BTS, they have been together for the longest, have gone through a lot and therefore understand each other the most. Making unimaginable history and success after a decade worth of hard work, I can only imagine the undescribable feelings that they must've had. It's just so special and really heartwarming.

Most of us enjoyed it and we heard it everywhere. By now we should all know the Grammys work on bribery and they struggle to acknowledge international artists. They're so humble and that's mainly why they're so successful. They went from approaching people on the streets asking them to attend their free concerts to being global stars but still managed to remain humble. Their music is incredible, but their personalities is what turned us from casual listeners/fans of their music to armys 💜
Only one speaks fluent English. And the rest still try though stuggling to express it, I can really see how far they reached from their humble beginnings. I remember that time when I was a baby army still learning their names and in my recommendations I got a video that was talking about their story and all the hardships they’ve been through, and I watched it and ended up crying because I never really thought that that famous band called BTS I’ve heard about has gone through a lot since the beginning. I got so moved by how inspiring not only their songs are, but also their story as a group is, and even as individuals. I wish that people who only criticize them without really knowing the long path they had to walk to get to where they are now, would only take some time to really get to know their back story and how they went from being boys without hope, to becoming the hope of millions of people💜 They deserve all this and more.

What hit me the most when I saw this was actually the moment when Suga and RM hugged each other first after the announcement. Both of them were the first two members to join BTS, they have been together for the longest, have gone through a lot and therefore understand each other the most. Making unimaginable history and success after a decade worth of hard work, I can only imagine the undescribable feelings that they must've had. It's just so special and really heartwarming.

I’m not a BTS fan (did not get the chance to check them out) but I’m certain their music is tonnes better than some of those nominees. ‘Butter’ was definitely the record of the year! Most of us enjoyed it and we heard it everywhere. By now we should all know the Grammys work on bribery and they struggle to acknowledge international artists. They need to fix their diversity issue firstly and be more transparent!

They went from approaching people on the streets asking them to attend their free concerts to being global stars but still managed to remain humble. I was laughing, smiling and crying like a proud mother even tho they're older than me, i watched these guys grow up, i watched their first performance at the ama's and i'm so proud of them and what these guys accomplished 💜
This award really hits a lot when you know their story and everything they’ve been through to get to where they are now. They went from handing flyers in the street telling people “please come to our concert” with the little knowledge of English they had, to winning Artist of the Year at the AMAs. I remember that time when I was a baby army still learning their names and in my recommendations I got a video that was talking about their story and all the hardships they’ve been through, and I watched it and ended up crying because I never really thought that that famous band called BTS I’ve heard about has gone through a lot since the beginning. I got so moved by how inspiring not only their songs are, but also their story as a group is, and even as individuals. I wish that people who only criticize them without really knowing the long path they had to walk to get to where they are now, would only take some time to really get to know their back story and how they went from being boys without hope, to becoming the hope of millions of people💜 They deserve all this and more.
Yes! I agree. They are making much needed changes in the music industry and so many people are being haters. I personally love myself so much more because of them. I am happier because of them. I went from a random music video on my Playlist (Dope) to just wanting to "know their names" to a full time ARMY.

I'm no BTS fan at all BUT I have high respect for these 7 talented artists for breaking the cultural barrier in an industry that used to snob (for lack of a better term) the Asian talents. Their achievements in the past few years are testaments that western culture are now more fascinated to what the East can offer, even in the world of music/ entertainment.
