Realmente Bolshevik ha mejorado bastante su ajedrez, y hoy es un jugador mucho más atento con respecto al año pasado. Bien por él.

The's because Pinkamena is an overall better player than Bolshevik. Most of the times when they play, Pinkamena wins.

И выясняется, что ладья С3 выигрывает, т.к. ладью забирать нельзя иначе мат в 2 хода, а при отступлении на а2, ферзь шахует с F7 и нет защиты от мата. Очень жаль что не посчитала и сделала ход за пару секунд. В таких ситуациях обязательно надо считать все возможные варианты.
I think Pinkamena's move at 16:46 by rook taking pawn at b3 was a great move. At minute 17:57 she missed a mate opportunity by moving the rook to c3 and check (rather then a8) and offering the other rook in sacrifice: if king takes rook at b4, queen checks at c5 then mate in the next move.
In that case king doesn't have to take rook at b4. A better forced mate is rook c8 to a8 check. King must take rook on b4. Queen f8 check. King b2 or b3. Queen a3 checkmate or the next move checkmate.

I'm not an avid chess player so forgive my ignorance, but why didn't Pinka just play Qf6+ at the 18:11 point? It would seem to me that that would force her opponent into a queen for queen exchange or a rook sacrifice. At worst, she could have a better development of her own rooks. At best, she gains material and strengthens her endgame position. Or am I missing something here?

I also agree on this move, but I must admit I enjoyed some of Pinkamena's other moves during the game and some that I didn't even see. Her games are starting to progress at a good pace. She is a great little player.
