I guess it coz the us has a pure free market as opposed to other countries plus its the land of opportunity setting up a company there is much easier than in other countries
Ye I think it's mainly down to 1. highly capitalistic (therefore easier to get workers to work long hours etc) and 2. One large country, one set of rules and language, broadly speaking.
Compare that to Europe, more socialist (workers have stronger protections) and a plethero of different rules and languages (although the EU has brought about a little harmonising it's still v much country by country)
