When i was 7 - 8 years old I participated in the National Pokemon TCG championship in Brazil ,I used a Mega Charizard deck with a held item that made me not take recoil (I forgot the held item name) so each turn I could do 300 dmg to my enemy, I got 16 place in that day and in my category I got 5 place. Fire pokemon are really strong but the water weakness was what made me not get first place, I got matched against 2 greninja decks and had 2 loses.
I love that Oricorio plays such a big role in this deck. I remember a long time ago I used the same Oricorio in a match vs you and it almost clutched the game.

I was thinking on that, I like more playing Pokemon TCG, but tbh the MTG app is much better. It have much variety of game formats, pokemon live should take some notes from them...
A quick question: how hard would it be to only play 6 pokemon in a Pokemon Card Deck? (Exception to the rule is the necessary cards to evolve the pokemon) As well as have no rule box pokemon.
Have you considered a format that retains the B&W-on, singleton, and monotype rules but has no banlist or rulebox restrictions at all above that? Elite 4 Challenge, or something. Sounds chaotic and fun.
Im not trying to get reported but I have a bunch probably like 30 scanner cards for anyone who plays the online TTG one of them are from the Charizard premium pack and I can't use them for my device for if anyone wants them lmk I'll send you all the codes if you send me $5 on cash app, again I have no need for them the other codes are from booster packs
Man the gym leader format looks so fun so many varied decks so many valid strategies it feels more like what the pkmn tcg ilwas supposed to be. Anytime I play on life I just get bombarded with the same decks over and over again, it's kinda boring

This is such an effective troll deck. However, if the opponent has any V-Unions, it could backfire.
V-Unions have a rule box and wouldn't be allowed in this format (Gym Leader Challenge).
