I think that the reason Adelia notices the difference in the Queen’s old/new behavior is because she carries a charm. If you recall in a previous episode I believe it was nightshade that said “Without a charm, the closer you are to the capital you more you’re affected by the Queen’s magic” or something along those lines where people are basically enthralled by the Queen.
This feels like a book with visuals. Movies are not so detailed because they have to fit the plot into a time frame. But this just feels like a chapter from a detailed written book. It's calming and asmr but also like an interesting book :) Also the argument with the fast music was so cute☺️

I really like how despite Adelia and Verity looking the same, you can still see their personalities through their appearance. Verity has more simple jewelry, Adelia has more intricate jewelry. Verity’s headband is just pearls on a gold wire while Adelia’s, uses the gold and pearls to make it look like a flower. Verity’s earrings are simple golden hearts and Adelia’s are many large pearls. Even the way their bangs are parted show their character. Verity looks more sophisticated with her bangs parted to side while Adelia’s are parted in the middle making her look more playful. This just shows how much effort Erin puts into her videos and the babblebrook series.

I appreciate how well the layering of the two different shots has been done, paired with convincing acting that doesn't break that immersion (often i find such scenarios less convincing when other asmrtists are noticeably staring at nothing and particular, rather than a twin, etc.). Love it!

If you watch the "The Nightshade Witch Proposes a Scheme", in it she'll mention that the queen has a spell cast on everyone to make her adore her. For some reason it didn't work on Adelia it appears

This is a delight both visually and auditory. Not even a minute in and my whole scalp was already tingling. I've been having bad flare-ups from chronic pain, so it's a huge relief to finally be able to relax. Your soft and unintelligible whispers are always the best, very clicky and without mouth sounds. Not to mention this whole set, your costumes, the make-up, and even the script! I always get so sucked up into the story that I try not to fall asleep! Definitely one of my favorite videos, from my favorite ASMRtist ^-^ (Sorry for the bad english! Not my first language, but I still try my best.)
Almost completely perfect English you mean! Never would have guessed it’s your second language. The only thing I noticed is in the first sentence it should be “auditorily” (which my iOS spellcheck says is not a real word but the spellcheck is wrong). Super small mistake and didn’t detract from readability at all.

it's so insane how you can actually see the difference between two nearly identical characters in the facial expressions. the left looked so open and bright while the right looked more stern and calculating. this video is phenomenal in every aspect: the acting, the set, the costumes, the editing, the layering, the TINGLES. bravo, erin!!!
I've watched this so many times and I have realised Adelia is definitely giving us an escape plan/coded messages - find Charlotte - steal Mulberry (the fastest horse) Also a few suggestions that the Queen may hypnotise us/turn us to stone (And in that we should probs go to the apothecary)
I believe Charlotte has already passed away. The All Hallow's Eve video had Charlotte in it as a ghost. She even says she was once a handmaiden for the Queen.

Since I was able to spot earbuds in Adelias ears twice in the beginning, I assume that the girl on the right (whose name I didn't grasp, sorry) was recorded first, than Adelia listened to it to respond at the right times. That was a really really good job there Erin, if I hadn't seen the earbuds I would've had no idea how you timed the conversations so well. @@Giulia-fi6oq at one point in the video 20:51 you can see the airpod in the left Erin's ear which leads me to believe that she either filmed one handmaiden and then used the recording to time herself while listening through the airpod or she previously did a practiced recording of the opposing characters that is playing in her ear while she's performing the role. Eitherway, it is a very detailed and comprehensive work of art!
I think the perfume did something to us... Adelia was trying to hide it at the beginning and seemed upset that verity found it, and adelia tried to brush our hair a long time so it wouldn't be applied, and when it was applied, everything sounded weird. Also adelia's remark, generous helping of perfume? Taking no prisoners, are we? I think the perfume gives the queen the ability to control us or something.

I was so worried you weren’t going to continue this storyline, but now I see that you were really just working endlessly on what may be the most cinematically and audibly beautiful addition to the story yet!! YESSS MORE BABBLEBROOK! Its only a matter of time until the queen is in our presence small edit: i’m positively obsessed with the small character details like verity’s devotion to the queen, she seems far fonder of her than most people we’ve met, even ardelia. ardelia seems more eager and open to the viewer while it takes possibly halfway through the video for verity to feel even mildly comfortable from what i can observe. while the queen most likely holds both of them to the same regard, they both have different views of her ascension to throne. they also both still manage to get along together in a fond manner and i find it so cute! second edit: is the charlotte they’re mentioning possibly the charlotte from all hallows eve? most series like this don’t use the same name twice so im going with my gut on this one

I've watched pretty much all the babblebrook videos as background noise before, but decided to rewatch them and actually pay attention. The lore and storytelling in this series is insane. I hope Erin does another part, I cannot wait to see the queen and how our journey resolves

So, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this video (because I love the aesthetic so much and it still gives me tingles) and I just noticed something. At the beginning Verity mentioned that pearls “have a powerful calming effect” and the queen “likes to adorn her guests expertly.” Y’ALL THE PEARLS ARE WHY NO ONE EVER LEAVES
That and the perfume is somehow involved. Notice how it almost seems adelia tries to push it off by continuing brushing our hair so verity couldn’t do it and seems upset when she does.And how it almost becomes distorted somehow after it’s applied. And she says that it has a “calming effect” and “the queen requires it”

As a writer, this reminded me of how I want my writing to feel, and how my favorite type of stories are and why I love them so much. Feelings so simple yet detailed that seem common but have their own special sparkle that make them shine, memorable to the reader's perspective, so, good job! I will definitely sleep to this for several nights
I've seen people try to write “fanfiction” (basically a recap if the series but in the form of a novel) of this. It hasnt been very good so far. I kinda wish there was a whole coherent book
I'm a writer as well, this kind of stuff always gives me inspiration. My story is urban fantasy, so their wouldn't be a queen or king, but this stuff still gives me lots of ideas.

The deviousness of this series is that if I fall asleep in the middle of the video, I have to rewatch it later to get the plot. Then I fall asleep again. It's a viciously soothing and relaxing cycle.

I feel like the old king is Peter because the catapult mentioned here was also mentioned in the Hallow’s Eve video in which Peter used a catapult to hurl pumpkins around. Also the appearance of the Old King sounds similar to what Peter looks like form the Hallow’s Eve video. Most importantly, the Old King was described as being a thief as worst and that’s basically Peter.

I might be mistaken, but this is the Arioso - Cantata 156 from Bach, not the instrumental version of a brazilian song. That song however, used Bach's work as an inspiration, but it would be unfair to the genius Bach is to call his creation the "instrumental version" of a contrafactum :)

Such a layered performance! Your characterisations of Adelia and Verity had me captivated with the shifting dynamic of their interactions. The first few times that I watched this video, I adored the plot line; once I was able to watch it without drifting off the Babblebrook, the subtlies became more apparent. Your micro-expressions as Adelia were amazing, my friend says they can be the hardest thing to use when acting. Adelia seems rather resentful over the disappearance of Charlotte, which is further supported by the way that she speaks of the Queen during Verity's time away from the viewer. Verity, by contrast, is rather defensive of the Queen - she may not have seen the side of the Queen that Adelia has been exposed too. My theory on Charlotte's disappearance is that she is either trapped in the Queen's blood crystal or she was killed due to the Queen's apparent paranoia. And Adelia suspects that, which is why she is resentful and passes comment on the 'reluctance' of anyone to leave the castle; Verity is likely either blissfully ignorant or in the Queen's pocket, I suspect the latter as Adelia only shares the oddities of the Queen's behaviour during Verity's absences.
They really seem like siblings haha you managed to make yourself look like two distinctly different but related people. It's honestly incredible. The banter is wonderful and I live for how you have their jewelry and accessories done
With the help of the comments, I have come to the conclusion that Adelia gives you hints as how to get away from the queen while Verity gives hints as how to stay which coincidentally helps one leave as well. - The pearls have a strong calming effect (likely a spell) which isn’t good when you’re life is in danger - the perfume is also required and was hidden before which means it’s dangerous - the crystal (looks like it’s filled with blood) is dear to the queen which means it’s likely a source of power or important so try to break/take it at your own risk or don’t even look at it if you wish to live - I think Adelia knew the king or at least was friendly with him but then the queen turned “cold” and her senses went and then the king and “dear Charlotte” (more lore than useful info) - 20:37 Verity compliment Adelia, which she replies “don’t be getting too kind with me Verity lest I think you some sort a monster” which implies kindness is lies in this society. - 21:44 her majesty is allergic to dust

Okay, I physically cannot stop thinking about the fact that I'm pretty sure Bridgette is going to betray us. Pippetwhistle told us that we should watch out for someone's name who starts with either a B or a D (which would obviously point toward Bella or Deidre), but guess what! Bridgette starts with a B, too. On top of that, she told us it's extremely important to look at the positioning of someone's feet to know whether they're giving us a compliment or insulting us, but the handmaidens insist that we shouldn't look at anyone's shoes at all for more than a glance. Why would she give us misinformation like that? I am remarkably suspicious of her!!
OMG, that's a good point. I've always thought, even before this video was released. Bridgette has always been a bit suspicious to me. The way she talks about her life, even though she sounds rather happy, most of the stories she tells about Inn sounds like they just tire her out.

But it was Bridgette who sent us back to Bella when Queen put out a warrant on us. It feels that we can either trust both or neither of them. In which case, we are in quite a pickle since we have been doing exactly what Bella told us for last five or so videos. That'd be pretty big twist. Gotta love this story, it's so full of mystery. I really like how despite Adelia and Verity looking the same, you can still see their personalities through their appearance. Verity has more simple jewelry, Adelia has more intricate jewelry. Verity’s headband is just pearls on a gold wire while Adelia’s, uses the gold and pearls to make it look like a flower. Verity’s earrings are simple golden hearts and Adelia’s are many large pearls. Even the way their bangs are parted show their character. Verity looks more sophisticated with her bangs parted to side while Adelia’s are parted in the middle making her look more playful. This just shows how much effort Erin puts into her videos and the babblebrook series.

I appreciate how well the layering of the two different shots has been done, paired with convincing acting that doesn't break that immersion (often i find such scenarios less convincing when other asmrtists are noticeably staring at nothing and particular, rather than a twin, etc.). Love it!

This is a delight both visually and auditory. Not even a minute in and my whole scalp was already tingling. I've been having bad flare-ups from chronic pain, so it's a huge relief to finally be able to relax. Your soft and unintelligible whispers are always the best, very clicky and without mouth sounds. Not to mention this whole set, your costumes, the make-up, and even the script! I always get so sucked up into the story that I try not to fall asleep!

Since I was able to spot earbuds in Adelias ears twice in the beginning, I assume that the girl on the right (whose name I didn't grasp, sorry) was recorded first, than Adelia listened to it to respond at the right times. That was a really really good job there Erin, if I hadn't seen the earbuds I would've had no idea how you timed the conversations so well. @@Giulia-fi6oq at one point in the video 20:51 you can see the airpod in the left Erin's ear which leads me to believe that she either filmed one handmaiden and then used the recording to time herself while listening through the airpod or she previously did a practiced recording of the opposing characters that is playing in her ear while she's performing the role. Eitherway, it is a very detailed and comprehensive work of art!
I think the perfume did something to us... Adelia was trying to hide it at the beginning and seemed upset that verity found it, and adelia tried to brush our hair a long time so it wouldn't be applied, and when it was applied, everything sounded weird. Also adelia's remark, generous helping of perfume? Taking no prisoners, are we? I think the perfume gives the queen the ability to control us or something.

small edit: i’m positively obsessed with the small character details like verity’s devotion to the queen, she seems far fonder of her than most people we’ve met, even ardelia. ardelia seems more eager and open to the viewer while it takes possibly halfway through the video for verity to feel even mildly comfortable from what i can observe. while the queen most likely holds both of them to the same regard, they both have different views of her ascension to throne. they also both still manage to get along together in a fond manner and i find it so cute!

As a writer, this reminded me of how I want my writing to feel, and how my favorite type of stories are and why I love them so much. Feelings so simple yet detailed that seem common but have their own special sparkle that make them shine, memorable to the reader's perspective, so, good job! I feel like the old king is Peter because the catapult mentioned here was also mentioned in the Hallow’s Eve video in which Peter used a catapult to hurl pumpkins around. Also the appearance of the Old King sounds similar to what Peter looks like form the Hallow’s Eve video. Most importantly, the Old King was described as being a thief as worst and that’s basically Peter.

I might be mistaken, but this is the Arioso - Cantata 156 from Bach, not the instrumental version of a brazilian song. That song however, used Bach's work as an inspiration, but it would be unfair to the genius Bach is to call his creation the "instrumental version" of a contrafactum :)

If im not wrong, this is how the British spoke in the 1700s. During that time pilgrims came to America from Britain on the Mayflower, so the American and British accents overlapped for a short period of time.

I've seen some folks mentioning that Adelia is possibly sending us some subtle hints/messages through the video, mostly the "it's poisonous" line, but are we just gonna ignore the "big ugly gem that looks like it's filled with blood" line?
such an incredible video!!! immediately, i had been immersed with the setting, and curious to know what world these two had lived in. on top of being ridiculously amazing with how real the exchanges between the two of them felt, the dialogue itself is so well thought-out in both the words you used, and how easily it shows off the personalities of the characters! the camerawork with the slow zooms on the various items is also so satisfying 💖

Such a layered performance! Your characterisations of Adelia and Verity had me captivated with the shifting dynamic of their interactions. The first few times that I watched this video, I adored the plot line; once I was able to watch it without drifting off the Babblebrook, the subtlies became more apparent. Your micro-expressions as Adelia were amazing, my friend says they can be the hardest thing to use when acting. Adelia seems rather resentful over the disappearance of Charlotte, which is further supported by the way that she speaks of the Queen during Verity's time away from the viewer. Verity, by contrast, is rather defensive of the Queen - she may not have seen the side of the Queen that Adelia has been exposed too.
My theory on Charlotte's disappearance is that she is either trapped in the Queen's blood crystal or she was killed due to the Queen's apparent paranoia. And Adelia suspects that, which is why she is resentful and passes comment on the 'reluctance' of anyone to leave the castle; Verity is likely either blissfully ignorant or in the Queen's pocket, I suspect the latter as Adelia only shares the oddities of the Queen's behaviour during Verity's absences.
Another comment pointed out Charlotte is the ghost in a previous video, so she's most certainly dead

They really seem like siblings haha you managed to make yourself look like two distinctly different but related people. It's honestly incredible. The banter is wonderful and I live for how you have their jewelry and accessories done

Usually when people do duals there is overlap or awkward silence between dialogues, this was perfect though, and the unison speaking was very cool
With the help of the comments, I have come to the conclusion that Adelia gives you hints as how to get away from the queen while Verity gives hints as how to stay which coincidentally helps one leave as well.
- The pearls have a strong calming effect (likely a spell) which isn’t good when you’re life is in danger
- the perfume is also required and was hidden before which means it’s dangerous
- the crystal (looks like it’s filled with blood) is dear to the queen which means it’s likely a source of power or important so try to break/take it at your own risk or don’t even look at it if you wish to live
- I think Adelia knew the king or at least was friendly with him but then the queen turned “cold” and her senses went and then the king and “dear Charlotte” (more lore than useful info)
- 20:37 Verity compliment Adelia, which she replies “don’t be getting too kind with me Verity lest I think you some sort a monster” which implies kindness is lies in this society.
- 21:44 her majesty is allergic to dust

Okay, I physically cannot stop thinking about the fact that I'm pretty sure Bridgette is going to betray us. Pippetwhistle told us that we should watch out for someone's name who starts with either a B or a D (which would obviously point toward Bella or Deidre), but guess what! Bridgette starts with a B, too. On top of that, she told us it's extremely important to look at the positioning of someone's feet to know whether they're giving us a compliment or insulting us, but the handmaidens insist that we shouldn't look at anyone's shoes at all for more than a glance. Why would she give us misinformation like that? I am remarkably suspicious of her!!

But just because of your theory I shall now proceed to watch all the Bridgette videos and analyse every minute with a fine toothed comb!
But it was Bridgette who sent us back to Bella when Queen put out a warrant on us. It feels that we can either trust both or neither of them. In which case, we are in quite a pickle since we have been doing exactly what Bella told us for last five or so videos. That'd be pretty big twist.
Gotta love this story, it's so full of mystery. Erin is such a great storyteller.

i really love how you've done the twin style asmr, this is the best i've seen it done. i love how both characters actually feel unique and have clashing personalities, it's easy to forget that there's really only one of you. it feels natural and not at all forced or awkward when they talk to each other, which CANNOT have been easy. acting/editing skills 👌👌👌

I keep coming back to this video. Turns out the music, combined with the whispering gossips, truly is a magical combination. I still get tingles from the crisp sounds at the beginning. Such a lovely script with lovely sounds.
