As someone who studies historical dress, I admire your attention to detail with the layers that go into a 18th century ensemble! And the terminology too!

@@IrishBrigid2 actually yes! It makes measuring much less “mathy” and each measurement tape is personalized to the wearer, even making it so a tailor could make another garment without needing to take more measurements.
This gives me 1700’s vibe like Marie Antoinette.
There are so many asmr channels that do roleplays but lose the immersion by tapping on things pointlessly. I love how she makes the asmr seem so natural. She is examining, checking, counting etc to make it seem natural and realistic and I love that.

What I love the most about your asmr is that they sound unintentional. I love how you make perfect sense for every tapping or rubbing. In fact, your video feels like a good mindfulness training. Now I try to feel the fabric as I fold my clothes, or listening to water dripping when I wash the dishes. It's as calming as listening to your works

@@telikaandfam I know that I definitely do get tingles. Of course everyone is different and so we all like certain things more than others but her intelligible whispers (or whatever you’d like to call them) are some of my favorites I’ve ever heard! 😊

@@telikaandfamas someone with autism, those noises really annoy me and triggers me! This is the only kind of asmr that works for me! :)
I get tingles from her optometrist video and many others, but any time she pops or clicks it's not unnecessarily. She's not moving her mouth to make the perfect noise, she focuses on story telling and immersive experience rather than the sounds, and it feels so much less contrived and as a result people who are overly observant and have mysophonia like me don't wake up and throw their headphones bc tingles become a tad too overestimating. If you want an asmrtist i avoid bc of the sound overestimation, SkepticalPickle ASMR* is super poppy and tingly, utilizes a lot of trippy visuals and cool echo and underwater sound effects. Its a worth a listen if you're into heavy tingles.
Not trying to be gross, but I put tingles on the same level as 0rga5m as far as pleasurable sensory seeking activities, and the context of using an asmrtist for that makes me personally uncomfortable because it feels very intimate for me and it just feels off to engage with these parasocial relationships this way. Probably doesn't help that the mouth sounds literally sounds like seggs, 0r@l, or french kissing, when done in asmr intentionally and without reason besides "it's tingly", and the fact that some people actually moan too, just reinforces that weird link for me. So, personally i have a lot of anxiety when i try to watch "ultra tingly" asmr vids because i never know if I'm gonna hear something that hits a crossed wire in my AuDHD and my body reacts accordingly, which is annoying if i don't have time to take care of it; then I'm just overestimated and annoyed until I can sleep or get release.
Personally, i think this is actually how everyone feels when listening to asmr and are just better at telling their body to stop or better at not being uncomfortable with the situation, but the physical feeling i get that leads to me needing a release is how literally everyone describes asmr so I personally think others just have not made this connection or the idea of sharing the feeling casually doesn't make them as uncomfortable, or maybe it's not as intense or doesn't lead to the same conclusion for others. But I've seen titles like "asmr that feels illegal to watch in public" so i don't think I'm the only person to feel this way. Either way, the full body tingles is something i only feel comfortable experiencing when I can fully relax and submit to the feeling, and that's usually at night and alone for me. I also learned to channel overestimation into self-stimulatory release in high school as a diagnosed autistic whose parent refused to believe i had it and gaslight and forced me to not have proper accommodations, and that led to some unhealthy coping mechanisms that still impact me. Such as the crossed wire thing, because asmr is the same feeling i get before i climax so... it feels like the precursor and my body reacts to it expecting release and i feel pent up when i dont get it. And since ik I'd only be reinforcing this connection if I just said fuck it, so i try to find other outlets for the feeling.
This may be weird, but tbh, I don't think I'm as alone as I feel. I get goodbumps and the exact feelings of asmr from many different good types of overestimation so, but when I'm laying in bed with my eyes closed and i discovered bsdm and asmr around the same time, and im in bed and get the feeling... its hard not to connect the two specific activities.
Anyway, hope this wasnt that weird and others relate at least a little. I can differentiate the feelings from each other as one is more extreme, but its like when its been awhile or I'm craving climax something close to it makes me want it more and it's harder to stop.
Edit: Release doesnt mean orgasm, it means fucking releasing energy or uncomfortable feelings. Like... exercise releases energy or helps redirect feelings. My god some people can't fucking take two seconds and consider what the fuck they've read, or ask questions. Yeah i jump topics but the assumption I was suggesting seggual content to a stranger makes me feel fucking uncomfortable. Just like most asmr, which was kinda the point i was making. I wanted to know if any of the other adhd or autistic peeps in this thread had similar overestimation experiences or weird redirecting behaviors like I've previously experienced. I wasnt suggesting porn asmr, i was saying a lot of asmr is very similar in sound to porn and it makes me fucking uncomfortable and if you're a weirdo that likes those sounds and doesn't associate it with seggs, then go to one of those people's pages, and i even provided a link.
I was trying to be tactful and use medical terminology and polite phasing, but despite my best efforts you still wanna twist it and be judgey after asking questions about this artist and saying you don't feel tingly. Yeah, this is for people with hearing sensitivities, anxiety, and mysophonia, NOT people who like the clickers from the last of us to relax. If you want that, that's literally most asmr. Politely redirecting you didn't work, so I will say directly maybe this artist isnt for you.
Like damn, not everyone on the internet wants to drink your bathwater lady. I'm just trying to share a personal trait that makes it hard to find good asmr and some of it probably could have been left out but its youtube not a novel i paid an editor for. Get over yourself.

As a historical sewist, I'm excited to see this gown and this roleplay! Love it!
Yes it’s wonderful how accurate the outfit is, so many use the wrong era corset/stays style or mix and match between eras (ie 1800s era undergarments with 1900s era outerwear).
I think historical costumers (like Bernadette Banner, Karolina Zebrowska, Asta Darling, etc) would love this accuracy.
Moonlight Cottage and ATMOSPHERE is literally my fav asmrtist .. They’re just on another level ✨

It’s possible she films in a historical society house/prop house and also rents their props for filming. It’s also where they film things like period dramas or take historically accurate photos for clothing photo shoots etc.
I’ve only been to one place before (RipponLea estate) and it was also in a film series a couple of times (Miss Fisher’s murder mystery series)

I never realized just how much went into them getting dressed. I suppose there is no wonder they needed help getting dressed in that time. I hope most of the servants were treated with kindness, though that may be a long hope.

This is probably the most quality I've seen in an ASMR video by far. I can see so much effort and research went into this. The lighting, the props, the camera transitions, everything. Someone could have told me this is a part of a movie and from just seeing the content with no title I would have believed them. This is amazing, beautiful work.

Some roleplays can be super cringy but you Diane are superb! You & Latte are the only channels that i can actually watch the whole video & enjoy so much that i will watch them again. I get so immersed into the storyline & your acting skills are on point! Also the research you put into the storyline, costumes & the props is amazing.
My only complaint is these videos are not long enough & i wish we could get a new 1 every day lol
Atmosphere is also a great ASMR channel with highly realistic roleplays with storyline and costumes/props if you like that kind of stuff! ♥

I LOVE HER! The ONLY other channel I watch other than hers is "Rebecca's ASMR Addiction"! Rebecca makes it seem unintentional and non sexual like those other channels. I flip flop back and forth between these 2. Just thought I'd share! 🙃
