Can you use a dremel and grind off the black smudge and then apply UV resin to seal it?

You can use dry rice to get an estimate of how much resin you'll need. Fill the mold, pour into a cup and shazam!, you'll get closer guesses on how much resin you'll need. I just keep my rice in a baggie and use over and over. 😁
