Very nice and helpful video Ian! Thanks! 👌
Great job Ian. Subscribed 😊
Congratulations on the content. I have a question: what did you put underneath the expression pedal to fix it on the pedalboard?
Hey this is great!, may I ask wich cables are using here for the cable management of the pedal and the modules, are this TRS cables or just TS?
Learning here, what is the purpose of two 4x Mods?
CIOKS has a new adapter for the Quad Cortex, called the Crux.
you need 4 ports on the DC 7 to power the Quad so you only need 3 8800 cables and one 1030 or you can use the new Crux and keep all 7 ports for other pedals
Hi Ian. Just starting to build this board except with Duo 24 and two expression pedals. Just want to know what mods you are using and the reasoning behind it? Thanks
Why you need dc7. QC adapter is not enough?
Hello, can you share any pics of your pedalboard ? I want to build similar setup on DUO 17, using QC wah and Shure GLXD16. However, pedalboard planner on Temple site has wrong dimensions (QC is too small), when checking with exact sizes it seems to be a very tight fit with QC and Dunlop Wah. Did you have any issues to fit Mission Pedal?
thanks for the tip. I entered the correct dimensions (12x7 inches) of the Quad Cortex into the Templeboard planner. Looks like a doable layout next to a volume/expression pedal, but it will be tight
Using a Rockboard Tres 3.1 for a QC, GLXD 16 and a Dunlop Expression Pedal. Perfect fit.
Cioks crux is a better option rather than multiple cables. I changed over recently. It’s much neater
I’ve heard, but built this awhile ago and Crux wasn’t out then. Can Crux take kettle/iec lead or do you still need a Cioks 7 to power it?
@@ianrussellmarshall runs off the 24v outlet on dc7. I’m interested in building a similar board to you as I’ve taken my QC off my main studio board that has lots of normal stomps etc.
@@truthfactreality6814 okay, the crux is probably a better option if you are going to have more pedals. But, for this board the DC7 + Flex cables might be cheaper then having to get a DC7 + Crux + leads. The DC7 on my board is a really expensive but robust power supply for only the QC. With the amount I gig, I need something sturdy.
You can get buy with only using 4 outputs at 2A.
2A?
@@ianrussellmarshall 2amps. Or 2000ma
@@JustinZak7 I’ve heard it can still operate at that power. 👍🏾
Anyone else thinking of getting this board? If you need any help, let me know.
Which brand of patch cables did you use (red, white, turquoise)? Probs for your pedal, it looks absolutely need and clean👏.
