    You came into my recommended out of nowhere. Thank you TH-cam. This is EXCACTLY what I needed.
    You explain everything so different from every other TH-camr but it is so understandable that I'm finally learning the things I'm struggling with.

      @@MusicMattersGB Thank you, your lesson is the true lesson on the net, I love MangoldProject too. I would also like to know how to apply circle of fifth (maybe you already did one). for exmaple, I often hear teachers say "...and you can go up and down the circle of fifth", why up down the circle of fifth, why not just half steps, thirds, fourths etc. what's the significance of following the circle? (just to get familiar with it?)

    This is such a great lesson, the leap from combining some tones to actually creating something musical and pleasurable. But it comes in such an understated way many people will not grasp its importance. It would be different if you made yourself look like a cool DJ/EDM musician and showed the exact stuff on Ableton Live's piano roll, using the same words and everything. No computer musician should be allowed to publish anything before watching this lesson at least 5 times and having proved implementing these "tools"!

    Inspires me to sit down and write a melody over a chord progression.

    Do we need to make similarity in interval with previous. when going up and down. ?

    • @MusicMattersGB
      @MusicMattersGB  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can calculate melodic intervals - one note to the next or harmonic intervals - two notes sounding at the same time.

    Sir...... If we choose any chord and make melody...... The notes which we use in melody is it necessary to come in scale of a chord???

    • @MusicMattersGB
      @MusicMattersGB  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually that’s the case. You can decorate with chromatic notes (notes that don’t belong to the scale) but notes otherwise belong to the chord you’re using or are inessential notes.
