I've watched quite a few different British classic car channels over the past few weeks since I bought a 1962 Rover 100 and they are all good, but your channel is definitely the one I enjoy the most. Your videos capture the essence of what makes driving a classic car so pleasurable.
My favourite Citroen's are the Traction Avaunte and the Citroen DS. Both are so well designed in their respective eras. That was a great story from Barry and despite all the trials they made it to their destination without much trouble. It is excellent that the Citroen Car Club has been going for 75 years, how many clubs can say that I wonder? Thank you Steph for an enjoyable video and I have to say thank you to Kev for lending you his car! 👍👍
The 1936 Traction, owned by Charles, was amazing! Of course, from my point of view, it was great to see so many 2CVs too!! Oh, and Barry is amazing, too!
What a great video of a great day Steph. I agree on the no music bit. Your voice over is excellent. What an onerous task judging that cake competition…. 😆
75 years for the Citroen Car Club? That's excellent! And i think it's nice that they accommodate the current cars in the range as well so people can get a better appreciation of the marque through the years.
Hello Steph, what a wonderful video, (I do like the filming with NO sound) to see so many varied cars of one make - I have forgotten how many different designs . models there was! The interviews were great! best wishes from Lincolnshire
An EV conversion of a 2CV is an excellent idea due to their low weight. Perfect for congested cities and a rolling advert for your business. The costs are high, but will come down.
Steph, I swear you're reading my mind.... the Standard Rally, I have 2 Flying 8s and being overseas have never been able to go, then Morris Minor rally.. I just got my Series 2 Minor registered and back on the road yesterday and now, Citroen, right when I'm negotiating (literally) to buy my first 2cv after years of always wanting one.. I'm in heaven...🥰
This video was pure joy! I love the mix of classic and contemporary Citroen… So many cool cars I think that most of them are my favorite… The XM’s BX’s C6’s, DS’s and Traction Avants… well… and everything else. Great video!
Well done, Steph! What a great video. Looks like quite the show, that's for sure. All I know about Citroen was that people in the street behind us were truly eccentric. The parents had his and hers Citroen DSs. The son, a good bit older than I, daily drove a Renault Dauphine. Keep in mind, this is going back over 50 years, back into the 60s. The Renault died an early death, but the Citroens were going strong well into the 80s. I miss driving older cars. One day, hopefully soon, another old Yank Tank will be in my driveway. Keep up the great work. Your videos are always anticipated with great enthusiasm.
I agree with the "no background music please" people but I like your theme tune. It's got a sort of 60s sitcom feel if that makes sense. The multicoloured car seems to have the same combination of colours as the VW Golf and Polo Harlequins.
Salutations to UK Citroen Legend Barry Annals. Sorry to hear you have recently lost your wife. Barry helped me and Stephen Loft-Simpson pull apart my 1 year old 2CV6 Club in February 1979 to ship it home as second hand spare parts to Sydney Australia, to be reassembled by 2 car club friends in my parent's garage... Still have my 3rd 2CV6.. A 1989/90 Charleston now with a Burton Big Bore 653 cc 2CV engine plus Power Tube.
Loved it Steph, great vlog. We had a Citroen saxo but the less said about that one the better. We loved our white Citroen xantia, amazing comfort and handling plus extremely reliable. We sold it to my wife's cousin he sold it to my brother lol so stayed in the family from 3 years old to the end of life sadly due to my brother being quoted a ridiculous sum for minor repair. Can you keep a secret? We are looking at Berlingo now and want the best cheapest price, so can you pretend they are rubbish we may get a bargain 😂. Only kidding most of the owners we have met love them dearly. Keep it up and we appreciate the time and effort you put into your channel and vlogs ❤
Absolutely adore French cars, and love the classic Citroens (our wedding car was a Citroen Traction Avant). Sadly we don't have Citroens or even French cars over here in Canada, sadly - I am seriously deprived! Thank you so much for including this show, a real treat that I would not have seen otherwise, since we have nothing like this here. Love your channel Steph. Especially loved the DS's, Ami's and GAs, but I also loved seeing the 2CVs, Dyanes (designed by Panhard), BX's, CX's, Zx's & C6's (Please could you review any of these?). Glorious.
Great video many thanks for showing the festival on here :) Hope to see you there next year (maybe in a Berlingo ;) ) and will catch up with you at Rustival.
What a beautiful show! There isn't a Citroën that I don't admire, really. In terms of looks, I liked that DS with the Harlequin paintwork you showed at the beginning. In terms of specification....I enjoyed that CV2 EV the most.
Steph, I think a Citroen would suit you perfectly. You gotta' have room for your trademark hair, so, maybe 2cv. Of course a berlingo would make a great Idriveaclassic vehicle for shoots. ;-)
Great video, as always. Great to see a unique car club treating models as old as 50/60/70 years with the same love and joy as a brand new model straight from the factory. By the way, I'd love to see a few Mercedes or BMWs on the channel
Love your show Steph, I've been watching for several years! How about a detailed look at that unbelievably cute RV/camper at 3:48 in this video. I kinda want one 😊
So enjoy seeing around all these shows and especially thrilled to see all these Citroens, what fun! ... have been waiting to finally see focus on a DS, hopefully an episode testing one? 👍
That looks like a fantastic event, Steph. Great video too. The BX is a brilliant car. I just got back today from a two week tour around France with my BX Toulouse (1.4) and the only thing missing was airconditioning, because it was really, really hot😄.
No surprise to see a few C6 in the show, I dare say despite it being as new as 2005 - 2012 it's already a classic given it's very unusual Citroën quirky looks, unique interior, classic hydro suspension etc. and it's pure rarity due to the low production numbers.
The Traction Avant was way ahead of its time, if WWII hadn't happened the same could be said about the 2cv, which was actually prototyped prior to WWII.
We had a whole rake of Citroens .. One of the best was a CX2400 Safari -- The Kids at school when My missus pulled up with our Menagerie of kids called it the 'Ghost-Buster' .... My wife managed to crucify 'every' panel on the car at some point, but it was 100% Reliable for the 5 years we had it .... Didn't see one at the show though ......
Citroen HF van-pickup looked fabulous, the old grey 2CV looked very old definitely from the 50s . The blue Morris minor van with windows looked like a shrunken hearse.
Great show, I can't wait to get the DS on the road, that Traction is superb, I love the cases on top. Love the electric 2CV but the vintage commercial 👌 love that. PS I have similar problems with my fleet, they all go tits up at the same time don't they! Good luck getting them back on the road!
Thank you for NOT having background music. I'm so over "car" videos that have blaring rock music, shouted narration often by a poorly researched presenter! You speak pleasantly, and really know your subject, that is why I enjoy your weekly video presentations!❤
Iborrowaclassic! ;-) What a great all inclusive show. Having never owned one before, and rarely had the same brand two cars running, I'm on my third Citroen in a row, and quite possibly (finances permitting) a fourth next year. Cheers
I drove all the way to the south of France in the early 80s in a Citroen Safaris to go grape picking, excuse the pun but it was one of the best rides I've ever had 😅
I'D LIKE TO SEE A REVEIW OF A 2007 C3 1.4I AS MANY END UP IN THE BREAKERS YARD ,AND I SEE IT GOING TO GET HARD TO GET AND WOULD BE A QUIRKY CAR TO BECOME A CLASSIC WHEN THE TIME COMES!
I was just going to say the traction Avant was built here , Slough made all RHD cars. I should join the Club as in 3 years of trying to join the DS3 owners club I've still not managed . Periodically I try to be asked questions like what is the capital of France I maybe dim but I do know it's Paris it will constantly say I'm wrong or the server is down. I've had my 14plate DS3 over 3 years now .
Sadly as explained in this video and others, I have to fully mute the background because TH-cam will have me for copyright for any music playing in the background.
Great video Steph. I had a brand new BX 1.9RD followed by a CX 2.5 DTR Turbo 2 while my wife ownded a ZX 1.9. Son has a Berlingo van. Pity that Citroen have lost their way, no more hydrolastic suspension and those dreadful wet bely engines, shame
Im loving these event videos mixed in with the car reviews. Fabulous idea to welcome all ages of Citroen. Its a pity we cant do this with defunct marques. Good decision to eliminate the music... Much better without.
Wonder if you can do a video of the old skoda cars and uk club and communist era skoda mb1000 1100 Estelle 105/120L to watch one day in future be great to watch such cheap basic cars in those times.
It’s my opinion based on lived experience - many of the owners I speak to agree with me as do many of my colleagues who work in various parts of the classic car industry. I was asked for my opinion. I shared it. Nothing more, nothing less. We are all entitled to our opinion and I respect everyone’s right to theirs as long as it is expressed politely and calmly.
My opinion on EV conversions is that as a rule a find the whole thing appalling. You are paying huge sums of money to put in technology that will be obsoltete in a much shorter time period than the engine it is replacing. However I believe Darens's 2CV are made up of mainly new parts and as such it is ok in my mind as he is not ruining existing cars.
I just love those BXs. They look like they came straight out of a 1980s scfi movie :)
Thank you for eliminating the annoying music that most car channels insist on forcing on us. Love your channel.
I've watched quite a few different British classic car channels over the past few weeks since I bought a 1962 Rover 100 and they are all good, but your channel is definitely the one I enjoy the most. Your videos capture the essence of what makes driving a classic car so pleasurable.
Aw thanks love x
J'aime beaucoup ...merci Steph !

Great car - great community of owners. The only models missing were the SM and the cabriolet, truly outstanding examples of the marque.
I have to say I do have a soft spot for a classic Citroën my favourites are the Ami, Traction Avant, DS, 2CV, and the SM
Me too. Plus the owners are lovely which counts for so much
The 1936 Traction, owned by Charles, was amazing! Of course, from my point of view, it was great to see so many 2CVs too!! Oh, and Barry is amazing, too!
What a great video of a great day Steph. I agree on the no music bit. Your voice over is excellent. What an onerous task judging that cake competition…. 😆
Hi Steph. The Rover 2000 TC was originally owned by me. It's good to see it still looking great and being shown.
Great video Steph. The DS is my all time favourite Citroen. I owned a couple of BXs in the 80s.
Saxo and the ax ❤ legendary cars
75 years for the Citroen Car Club? That's excellent! And i think it's nice that they accommodate the current cars in the range as well so people can get a better appreciation of the marque through the years.

Couldn’t make the show. Thanks for being there and sharing. Hopefully we’ll be there next year in our C15 Romahome
An EV conversion of a 2CV is an excellent idea due to their low weight. Perfect for congested cities and a rolling advert for your business. The costs are high, but will come down.

Haha no way!!!! Glad to be of service x
Favourite car !, that’s easy, it’s just got to be the traction avant, beautiful car and full of history.
I just want say how respectful you were to Barry. You listened carefully and let him speak without interrupting. thank you
Top Guy Barry aka mr Citroen .Great video Steph loved it.👍👍👍👍👍 27:11
Looking forward to the DS drive! Loving those XM’s too.
This video was pure joy! I love the mix of classic and contemporary Citroen… So many cool cars I think that most of them are my favorite… The XM’s BX’s C6’s, DS’s and Traction Avants… well… and everything else. Great video!

LooooooL @ the old inconsiderate dude just smashing his self-important way through the vid on the 2C(E)V 🤣🤣
I do prefer no background noise l do like voice overs apart from that a great classic show including a Morris Minor 1000 van good stuff
Lovely show, thanks for sharing Steph, looks like something that would be up Ian's (HubNut) alley 😊👍
Thanks for watching Allan!
I was surprised that he didn't seem to be there.
@@caw25sha I think he was not long back from Holland w the Perodua. I think he's been in the past, hopefully we'll see him there sometime.
I agree with the "no background music please" people but I like your theme tune. It's got a sort of 60s sitcom feel if that makes sense.
The multicoloured car seems to have the same combination of colours as the VW Golf and Polo Harlequins.
I didn't miss the music, prefer it that way, and the fun events at the end was sweet. (Pun not avoided.)
Love Citroens! I had a Visa Super in the 80s and an AX 1.0 in the 90s.
Thanks Steph for the video.
Review the CX Safari please
I loved this video very interesting and your enthusiasm for the product is infectious.

French cars - just in time for for the Paris Olympics!❤
Steph you should have your boots on for this event its so retro 😊
Wonderful 🧡🧡🙏
Absolutely adore French cars, and love the classic Citroens (our wedding car was a Citroen Traction Avant). Great video many thanks for showing the festival on here :) Hope to see you there next year (maybe in a Berlingo ;) ) and will catch up with you at Rustival.
Terrific Steph and the DS is still a fabulous car and ageless also.
What a beautiful show! There isn't a Citroën that I don't admire, really.

You do a wonderful job thank you
So enjoy seeing around all these shows and especially thrilled to see all these Citroens, what fun! ... have been waiting to finally see focus on a DS, hopefully an episode testing one? 👍
Paint matched steelies and chrome caps. 👍 Any vehicle that can sport these is timelessly designed.🧐
That looks like a fantastic event, Steph. Great video too. The BX is a brilliant car. I just got back today from a two week tour around France with my BX Toulouse (1.4) and the only thing missing was airconditioning, because it was really, really hot😄.

I'm sure the LNA and the Talbot Samba are near enough the same car underneath, could be wrong though. Citroen really did make a lot of beautiful cars.
The Traction Avant was way ahead of its time, if WWII hadn't happened the same could be said about the 2cv, which was actually prototyped prior to WWII.

I believe the model of old Citroën pick up show at the mn 20 is a Rosalie.
The H-Van. Good honest working vehicle. Rare these days.
Citroen HF van-pickup looked fabulous, the old grey 2CV looked very old definitely from the 50s . The blue Morris minor van with windows looked like a shrunken hearse.
Maybe a Citroen Berlingo in future, Steph! Thanks again for a great video!

My favourite in this video is the Dispatch in the background at 1:04.
Iborrowaclassic! ;-) What a great all inclusive show. Having never owned one before, and rarely had the same brand two cars running, I'm on my third Citroen in a row, and quite possibly (finances permitting) a fourth next year. Cheers
Great video as always Steph.
A real favourite of mine is the indestructible Citroën C15 van. Would love to see you review one.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Frank!
The brands in the USA that came closest to Citroëns mad genius were AMC and Chrysler in the 50's through early 70's.
Fab video Steph!
Steph, please do a show on the Citroen Traction and the H Van. Thank you!
Howdy you rock
I would love to see you do a review of the first Berlingo.
2CV owners can do whatever they want with their car, but you gotta respect the goddess. 🧐
I was there in 2008 with my BX, I've still got my 25 years of the BX hoodie.
Didn't Mr Skinner have the yellow mk1 BX estate?
Problem with Citroën's at least the older ones, is you have to drive them to get the full Citroën experience.
I was just going to say the traction Avant was built here , Slough made all RHD cars. I should join the Club as in 3 years of trying to join the DS3 owners club I've still not managed . Thats interesting I've always wanted to drive a 2cv but can only drive automatics id drive one around rown. Something to look at 😊
Thank god no music!!!!!! xx
Im loving these event videos mixed in with the car reviews. Fabulous idea to welcome all ages of Citroen. Its a pity we cant do this with defunct marques. Good decision to eliminate the music... Much better without.
Did my eyes deceive me, or did I spot an Ami 6 estate in RHD @03:39? No, I must be seeing things! 😂🤣😂🤣
Wonder if you can do a video of the old skoda cars and uk club and communist era skoda mb1000 1100 Estelle 105/120L to watch one day in future be great to watch such cheap basic cars in those times.
@ 1:05 traction avant ...........@1:10 its replacement ..............what other car manufacturer makes that kind of leap ?
Hi steph Can we please see an citroen ami 8
❤🥂😎👍👋
The UK is a tiny island. When you get into who made what, it turns out your cousin stamped the rear quarter panel on your MG.🤣
No Citroen SM ?.
Apart from those 50 year old DS's....I can't show any enthusiasm for that brand.
Citroen Berlingo is identical to the Peugeot Partner in all but badges, older Citroens are independent from Peugeot and don't share the same engines.
Thanks to hubnut and upndown and others, my xsara picasso has a bit more classic appeal
Music is such a matter for individual taste that it is safest to leave it out. I like cars from the thirties but I don't like music from the thirties.
Hope your asking the owners regarding your post on MOT's on all old vehicles in the Daily Express.
It’s my opinion based on lived experience - many of the owners I speak to agree with me as do many of my colleagues who work in various parts of the classic car industry.

EV? No thanks...this isn't the "Fully Charred Show" 🤔😉😁
