I think it might work well as a popper. Otherwise, the action that a dragonfly has in the water is typically them vibrating the top of the water as they flounder around and try to find something to hold onto. I think it would be interesting to see a small oscillating motor inside of a bait to really mimic that high frequency vibration.

A series were you take things that a fish would never eat like a horse or dinosaur and make them into baits
Very nice! You should try using a thin acetate for the wings. At that size, they should be stiff enough to stick out, but soft enough to collapse in a fishes mouth, allowing for a more natural feel when the fish takes it! Master it, market it, and make a million!

that fish looks like a Rock Bass that we have here in Bama. I catch them all the time on 8'' worms and 3/8 oz spinnerbaits. They are very aggressive! not shy at all
Hytekrednek Bama nah that was a green sunfish, and I'd also almost guarantee your catching warmouth, there mean little suckers, and look a lot like rock bass.
I grew up calling them Rock Bass to only to find out at last year (at 42 years old) they are in fact Green sun fish. Made me feel ignorant and embarrassed. Shape wise they're pretty much identical but Rock Bass are more golden/brown. Either way aggressive fish that are fun to catch.
@@slimetime4668 I live in Bama as well...that was indeed a green sunfish...could tell by the green lines on his gills. that was a big one actually. And I agree with you about the Warmouth. I have caught plenty of them. Those things are aggressive and great to catch! I normally catch them when bass fishing. A big chunky one puts up an awesome fight. Usually they are dark colored with a large mouth and many times their tail fins are worn down from fanning their beds I assume. A good eating fish as well.
You deserve more views and subs since how talented you are and the time you spend on these lures.

You could try modifying the wings to be more like a heddon crazy crawler so they only come out when it lands in the water

This lure would catch every bass in my pond ..they go crazy jumping in the air breaching the water after dragon fly’s landing on the lily pads ..it’s actually very incredible to see..iv never seen bass do this at any other body of water like mine

I think you should make a wood top water frog, with the hook on a pivot right by its eye, and the hook point being hidden by a spring on the inside, pushing the hook down. When a fish bites it, the spring compresses and the hook point pops up. Basically a regular soft frog, but wooden, and an internal spring keeping the hook down.
Make a short video of you using an air compressor and blowing out your laptop. **remove battery before doing this, let sit for hour or so before turning back on as moisture may have gotten inside**

I can't believe u don't have 100,000 subs yet. You deserve them and we all support this channel more than u know. Also I have a weird but cool idea for a lure. So in the 70s and 80s the made these lures that were shaped like beer cans and they were really funny. I think you should make one of those but have it be a soda can with your dogs face as the logo. That would be really cool. Let me know what u think. Just look up beer lures and you'll see what I'm talking about. 10/10 vid mate. Keep it up. Also call the soda chips cola or something cool like that

That dragonfly bait will work as a nice fly rod lure. Try treating the dragonfly like a floundering, drowning bug or a popper. In the calm of the evening, that lure will nail some bass!
