This man has learned to be content with what he has. Truly. Very hard to find. We live in our heads for what we DON’t have. Or what didn’t happen and who’s to blame.

Actually not at all hard to find. All over the world there are many people who are content with what they have. As they're content you won't find them complaining and as such you might mistake them for not existing. Please don't judge the world by what you see and hear on the internet.

He will never experience dementia and cancer and other common fatal illnesses like our older ppl do in the US and Canada and the EU bc he knows what's important and his government isn't out to control and destroy their ppl, unlike what we experience here 😮😢

There are many, many abandoned villages in Japan. The govt is giving free lands to farm, house , and financial assistance and farming assistance volunteers and marketing .such an admirable gentleman. There are many elderly single men abd women living alone here in remotest parts in the mountains here.

Declining population. TOKYO ESP. The governor giving $1 -3 M to tokyoites to go live with there family in rural Tokyo or neighboring villages.

This is the way my grandparents lived. They were happy and felt like they had everything they needed. It would to good to see that people can be content with so little, just living off nature and in the company of animals.
My grandparents, dad and all his siblings lived this way too but today the government makes it close to impossible to live this way. My grandparents were able to live this way because there was no income and property tax. There’s no way they could have afforded to keep their land if they had to pay property tax.
My mother lives in a small town but the town has outlawed all farm animals including chickens and rabbits. You can’t own them in her town.
In other places the home owners association or the town outlaws growing your own garden.
Obama went after the amish demanding they build their houses under current building codes or have their houses demolished.
The government took away my grandmother’s house because they wanted to build a road there. She had no say in the matter they just bulldozed down her house.
Back in our grandparents’ time there wasn’t as much government hindrance to living off the land.

I love the Russian people so much. There's just an ease about them. So accepting of the dance between man and nature. I think it's part of the culture. They just understand that everything was here before them and will be here after them and that's just the way it is.

There’s poverty and then there’s unimaginable poverty & deprivation. Thankyou Vasya for bringing us these tales and the
different situations that interest you. What quality of life do these poverty stricken Russians have ? However, they cope,
probably because they’ve never had much anyway in their lives, materially at least. They’re tough cookies, probably because
they’ve had to be. Political situations that stink of too much power & corruption. I feel for them and it makes me so thankful
for everything I have in the UK.

The poor horse is chained up and her coat is so dull, I can't help but think that if the man dies then Mikey has no way of escaping, she'll just stand there and die too.
The land is just so beautiful but the isolation would be too much for many - me included. The man looks very healthy and his self sufficient lifestyle is just amazing....do or die I suppose.
He naturally got family, friends, in the area. It will not be long before they look for him and the horse, if not seen him in some time

Somebody should organize a group of young volunteers to go to different villages two at a time, for one weekend a month , just to visit and help with basic chores. I'm sure these solitary people could really benefit from the help and human interaction. Just bring some food so as not to burden the people.

What is the main cause of all these villages being completely abandoned? Couldn’t they be successfully repopulated? It seems that so many people would benefit from having this community of friends and support.
Young people from such villages went to study in the cities and then stayed to live and work in the cities. Also in many villages there are no jobs for people. In such villages, you can only engage in farming. But many people are not ready to become farmers.

Funny how people say the world is over populated, but those same people refuse to move away from others.
You know what's funny, there's tons of people all over the world who'd absolutely love to move to a place like that and make it their own and just live/farm peacefully. This dude is living a lot of people's dream life.. It's a shame there's not an easier process or way to go about doing that.
