Loved seeing Ali Wong actually go for it! And for me, if Margot had posed with the dress more like the sketched model, like popped her hip out/put a hand on her hip, it could've been better. But the sketch definitely didn't really come to fruition, the pink fabric looks really frumpy compared to the beautiful ombré in the sketch.

My guess is that her approach to her fashion latetly has been completely motiveted by the oscars campaing. Oscars voters overall are not into pop star status artists, therefore casual looks are the ones that give her more so the 'songwriter artist' vibe and a mature image. The same goes for her hair color change. PLUS she's doing that without compromising her personal brand

I think the Lily Gladstone dress was paying homage to fringe dresses in some Native designs. That’s why it had the curves in the fringe. I thought it was a really good combo of couture and culture.

Cozy and sleepy and almost tipsy looking, feels like I’m having a midnight chat with a friend in the kitchen after a long day but the talk itself is still effortlessly smart and refined and yeah Luke is almost yawning but sounds so academically sharp still, I cannot. That Bel Powley - Chanel look stood out to me. As an indigenous Maori woman, it reminds me of our traditional/performance garments. Specifically korowai cloaks and pari dress.
The Chanel dress on Bel is riffing on our Maori (indigenous New Zealanders) traditional dresses. Our dresses are the same shape with the bandeau top and it often has that stepped pattern on the top and then there is striped flax hanging from top. We also use a lot of feather in our clothing. Every Maori looking at this dress would think that the designer has seen our customary "piupiu". Showed it to my Scottish husband and even he said "hey, it's a Maori dress!" (different fabrics of course, but the shape and design is so so similar).

Most of the fails …in my opinion…being a woman ..are in the misfitted bust line. If you have large breasts and or large shoulders..please have straps or support …having your breasts hanging out the sides or over the top …just looks awful and uncomfortable.

If the straps had been pulled down, and the middle hiked up, she would have looked like a hot mess. I further speculate that this dress was not custom worked for her or there might possibly have been a different strap/midriff story.

Especially Lewis Hamilton's at F1 but also American football would be cool. I find some of the outfits athletes wear when they "walk in" are great and some are awful and i would love to hear your opinion (no sports knowledge needed I would say). Love your videos!
With Margot Robbie, I think if the designer had used a lighter sheer fabric, and really worked on the sculpural element so it looked good through the many layers, it would have looked better. I agree that it weighs her down.

The tulle Chanel sequin fabric design is a chevron set on the bias. Da'vine's dress needs the flowers flipped sides so the bulk at top balances the bottom. And the large flowers need to be pushed up to the shoulder higher. Almost a strap. But just flip flopping them will solve a lot of the issues.
