Sorry you’re not feeling well! Take care and rest. I’m sure Jack is a superb nap buddy!!
Thanks heather xx he is good x
Get well soon 💐
The veggie curry looked fine and Jack looks okay.
Now take a rest ✔️🇦🇺
Ok I shall x
Ho[e you feel better soon and well done for getting on and cooking when you feel poorly. As somebody has already said, when you are prescribed antibiotics, you should take the whole course even if you feel better. Also you may have a virus not an infection in which case antibiotics will do no good. Keep hydrated and rest as much as you can which is not easy when you live on your own. Big hugs.
Thank you Jean xxx
Wishing you a speedy recovery x cuddles from the gorgeous Jack will help make you feel better ❤
Thank you so much! X
Feet up. Movie. Lots of rest. Hot drinks and hot soups. Vitamins. Paracetamol. Even more rest. Sleep slightly sitting up if you can manage it. Little trips out for fresh air but no over-exertion. Absolutely no stress. Hope you feel better soon. 🌺🌼💐
👍👍👍❣️
Ok I shall follow this to the t xx
It's horrible to feel poorly.i hope you feel better quickly! Positivity peace and love ♥️
Thank you xxx
Little tip for your everlasting cabbage of joy: try peeling off and usng layer by layer. This way the cabbage stays fresher and whole and just gets smaller. It avoids waste from throwing away the brown cut ends whenever you want some cabbage.
Hope you feel better soon 💕
Looks nice 👌 the porridge and the curry 🍛 😋 👌
Thank you 😋
Awww I just want to give you a massive hug, I really hope you start feeling better soon! Glad you had a sleep, get as much rest as you can ❤️
Thank you xx
Aww get well soon! Try and get some rest. I went on my5 last night and watched you on the tele!!😀
You're the best! Thank you xx
So much care to you Reshenda 😊 I hope the meds help & you can get some good rest in ❤
I hope so too! ❤️
Hope you feel better soon 💕 🎉
Thank Kathleen. Xx
Hope you feel better soon matey! I too make for an awful patient!! I had to put down the tiny violin i was playing for myself just then to play a note or two for you!! 😀 Im here feeling sorry for myself with sciatica/bad back! 😑 But your video has inspired me to get my butt out of bed and come and do some food prep for the week, so thank you xx Feel well. Love to you and Jack from Lou in Southport x
Lou from Southport! An OG subscriber xx I hope I feel better tomorrow x
Look after yourself and raje it easy. I usually resort to just eating biscuits when im ill or iceland meals for one. You should make a big pot of lentil soup use up those carrots and a teaspoon of curry powder in it is amazing
Omg absolutely fabulous idea x
😂😂😂 you swigging the covonia really made me laugh 😂. Hope you feel better soon
Haha 😛 xx
Being poorly when you live on your own sucks! I try to keep a stash of comfort food (like tomato soup) in the storecupboard, I'm starting to build up my supply of meds for the Winter now before I actually need them. There are loads of folks getting a chest infection just now, must be a nasty virus doing the rounds. Take care! 🙂
I know it sucks big time xx thanks for your message xx
Hiya , i tryed the rocket & garlic pasta you did recently last night , it was so tasty went down a treat in my house , will make it again next week lol ❤
Glad you liked it xx
Grab some cayenne pepper. With a damp finger, pop your finger into the cayenne pepper and put it on your tongue! Works well also with coconut oil or castor oil. Very soothing! Has a bit of a kick, not not too bad! Feel better soon!
Ok! I have some in the cupboard x
Love your channel and you're an inspiration Rechenda ❤
Didnt know about cooking banana peel or that you could keep antibiotics for future use. Hope you feel better soon!
Saving antibiotics goes against medical advice. You are always supposed to finish the course even if you feel better and prescription medicines should only be taken after consulting a medical professional.
Probably won't do any harm but it is not something to be encouraged.
Yes you are right just had someone else tell me that xx
Hi i have found you and currently binge watching love you! Chia seeds you should have no more that two table spoons a day. Hope this helps!x
Oh thank you! Xx
Slow bake an onion in the oven if you have honey drizzle on before baking til all soft and juicy. The liquor it gives off is an old remedy for chest infections. Take by the spoonful like cough mix. And if u have chillis cook with thise
Honey is not an option whilst doing a vegan week.
The studies carried out on honey and onion for respiratory conditions show that the onion should be raw as cooking it destroys the enzymes which help clear mucus and improve symptoms. Simply honey and chopped onion (sometimes with additional herbs and spices) left for a minimum of 30 minutes or kept for up to 4 days has been shown to be effective.
Ooh sounds yummy x
I see x
Looks very healthy I do hope you feel better soon sending my love to you and Jack (Bennie) 😊❤
Thanks Martin
Bay leaves help with coughs and respiratory problems. You can simply put a couple in a mug of boiling water and leave it to steep for 10 minutes.
I pesonally prefer to boil some water in a pan add a couple of bay leaves and some spices i like (usually i would add something like ginger or cinnamon or a combination of spices) as it tastes better than just bay on its own. Just boil it for a few minutes and drink hot or cold throughout the day.
Oooh bay leaves I need to get some
I hope you are feeling well soon lovely. You will get lots of advice but here's mine darlin. Take a lot of powdered Vit C at the first signs of illness it seems to nip it in the bud. Also tincture of Echinacea drops are also great to take to stop illness before it starts. Vogel do a good make. 15 drops in water, repeat 4 hours later, then again if needed. This works for me. Sage tea is good for sore throat. Gargling with salt water such as celtic salt. You take care. It is not fun being ill and living on your own xx
I need all of this xx
Feel better soon sweet lady❤❤ Get some rest in and plenty of vitamins. Sending healing vibes your way 🙏❤️🥰🙏
Thank you Rebecca xx
Hope you feel better soon, I did not know you can eat banana peel must give a try! You should use up some of the frozen wonky berries to make a smoothie to boost your immune system xx
Ah yes really good idea will do that this arvo x
I love your videos but please in future take all antibiotics you are prescribed, otherwise you
are just setting yourself up for resistant bugs!
Please feel better.
(Credentials: I am a nurse)
Ah! Good to know xx
I absolutely agree with u (retired nurse). Finish all courses of antibiotics. Do not self prescribe antibiotics - they only work if it is a bacterial infection n it may be a viral infection. Different antibiotics required for different bacterial infections eg skin, urinary tract, ear, chest etc. Sorry to preach but u could be setting yourself up for resistance to antibiotics. Take care. Hope u feel better soon!
If you took amoxicillin Rechendra it is a broad spectrum antibiotic and is likely what a Dr would prescribe as first line. If it doesn’t clear in a couple of days you should see you dr who will either tell you to continue or stop and treat as a virus x (ex pharmaceutical antibiotic researcher).
Get well soon my lovely 🙏🏽🙏🏻❤️
Thank you x
I had a bad chest infection last month and was a lot better after a few days, using natural remedies and healthy, home-cooked food including curry! Spices are so good for us all. Well done with your curry. It will do you such good. ❤
I like to ramp up the spices and healthiness when unwell xx
@@TheBudgetFoodie it really is the best way of recovering. Be well soon! 💖
Hope you feel better soon, it's hard being ill with nobody to look after you, take care xxx
Thank you jules xx
Get well soon, lovely!
Porridge is great! Chia pudding also great, so good for you!
Turmeric is brilliant for you when unwell so curry is ideal
Soya beans can be used in anything where you can boil them (pre-boil them though) -Curry, noodle dishes, etc. they can be stir fried and added to salads etc. all good 👍🏻
Oh wow! Thanks for tips especially soy beans x
@@TheBudgetFoodie after soaking, rinse them and boil them before adding them to your recipe. 1 cup of soaked beans to 4 cups of water and boil for 3 hours! Then add them to whatever you’re cooking 😊
An ok I need to boil them now xx
Feel better soon!!!
Thank you Amanda!
Hope you feel much better soon. I know what it’s like to be unwell and live alone. It’s not nice. Get plenty fluids and rest xx
Thank you, I will xx
Hope you feel better soon.❤xxx
Thanks Anne x
Same here and I am married lol. Take care of yourself and get well soon.
Haha ok thank you xxx
Was going to say that too 🤣 my hubby is not much help when I'm ill, still have to look after the little one etc 😭😭
Feel better soon!
Thanks Vanessa x
Do hope you feel better soon. Scrape the banana skin white part and discard though - also saw somewhere that you can make vegan bacon from the skins. Those Vegan Guys have a vid on it
Yummy! X
Being alone when ill sucks. I slipped over in the night going to the loo in December last years and badly broke a couple of ribs. The pain was excruciating. It hurt like hell to even breath. I had to try and sleep sitting up on the sofa as i couldn't pull myself up from laying down (it hurt to much to lay down though) ive got a dog as well so had to try and look after both of us, while on heavy painkillers. It was AWFUL.. Hope your feeling better soon.
Definitely suggest making a veggie soup. I put cabbage in my soups. Such a great way of getting veggies into you and easy to eat of you have a sore throat..
Do you have anyone who can pop you some things round if you need it? X
Omg you poor thing xxx hope you are ok now xx soup a great idea x
@@TheBudgetFoodie it still has a dull pain in that area when laying on it but it's manageable now. Hope you're feeling better today.
A great soup recipe for you.
Onion, cabbage, carrots, swede, parsnips, celeriac and a potato to thicken. Then add a tin of mushy peas. It's my secret ingredient. It makes it so creamy. I also add veg stock, s&p and some dried thyme. Blitz it all up. Delicious. I freeze all the left over vegetables, so I have them to hand when I want to make another batch. You can also freeze it once made xx
You could also try making Sauerkraut with the cabbage and salt and some turmeric. You can boil lemon, turmeric and ginger and add honey and make a drink. You cañ make home made brand on toast with a few tomatoes and the beans or tinned tomatoes with onion and garlic or just fry off the beans with onion and garlic. Just drink loads of water as well.
Thanks for the tips! Can you come over and look after me lololo L xx
Hope this helps a little 😊
Oh my gosh! Thank you xxx
When you have chest congestion it's best to take an expetorant syrup to help liquify the junk in your lungs snd allow you to cough to expell it. A cough medicine with cough suppressants should only be used to control a dry cough. If you have congestion in your chest it needs to be made less thick and you the medication you take should allow you to cough a productive cough to help clear your lungs. When I have a cold or the flu I like to take elderberry syrup along with Borion Oscillococcinumto help reduce the length of my illness.
I hope you feel better soon. If I lived close and was your friend I'd cook you some healthy nurishing cold fighting foods, drop them off to you and tell you to take a break from cooking and rest until you're much better. Read, drink tea, snuggle your cat and nap. Take care.
Ah ok will look into this! X
Yes, re above advice. Also if you find you are having trouble coughing up the junk, or you find yourself tiring of coughing, get a straw and a half cup of water, and blow bubbles. This assists the with the loosening up of the junk to make it easier to cough up. Something to do with the pressure inside the wind pipe. Recommended by a respiratory therapist. I do it as I have lung disease, and it absolutely works for temporary relief. Also sip a hot tea with lemon. The acidity of the lemon helps too.
Cheers & take care! 😊
Please, please, please, don’t take antibiotics for what is likely a virus. Also antibiotics for a strep throat are totally different to those needed for a bacterial chest infection and never don’t complete the course. It means antibiotics (abx) will stop working, (ie become resistant) which is so incredibly serious, you can’t even imagine. The fact that you didn’t finish the strep throat abx means it was a virus, as you need a 10 day course for them. Please always make sure a clinician listens to your chest before taking abx
I think she said she had amoxicillin which are commonly used in the UK as first line of defence for chest infections as it is a broad spectrum antibiotic. There is no harm in her starting them on a Sunday and consulting her dr the next day. If it is a virus it won’t fix her but it won’t harm her. Resistance to antibiotics happens with overuse ie constant use. Rechenda doesn’t strike me as an overuser
@@carolinewhite-robinson7364 thanks, I missed the bit about them being amoxicillin
I know I was naughty and you are right xx
I don’t take them much x
@@TheBudgetFoodie aah bless you. I hope you feel better asap, you deserve to as you are great with your diet and you seem like a lovely person xx

Hope you feel better soon! Im also a bad ill person, really gets me down xxx

@@TheBudgetFoodie no worries. Also you could take a high strength cheap vitamin C tablet you can get them in Aldi for around £2 xxx
I need this
Hope you are feeling better ❤ I have been looking for your TV show but i cant find it. Could you please tell what its called please xx
It’s Supermarket Prices: Are they ripping us off on channel 5 x
@@TheBudgetFoodie Thank you xx
Chia seed pudding is 1 part chia 4 part liquid. You can make it with half milk half water and I normally put a tsp of honey for sweetness. Great on its own or in your yoghurt
Thanks for the tips!
You mentioned in previous video you didn't know what to do with cocoa nibs. You can add them as a topper with your seeds to your porridge or chia pudding. :)
Oooh fab idea x
Take care and rest up. ❤
Thanks sharene x
Hope you feel better soon😊
Thank you xxx
Get well soon 🙏xxx
Thanks Leigh x
A lemon and honey drink may help 😊
Yes
Get well soon Rechenda x
Thanks honey xx
Get well soon ❤❤
Thank you xx
Gute Besserung !!
Thank you xx
Never in my wildest day would i have thought of cooking banana skin. Doesnt it taste weird?

Slightly better but lots of phlegm etc coming out today and still feverish but defo better than yesterday x
Sleep well🐈🙋♂️
Thanks James
Maybe look into pet health insurance as it would cover any big bills in future and u can budget better by just paying a small sum monthly...? Drink lots of liquids, u need antibiotics if u hav a chest infection.
Yeah I got pet insurance but excess is £250 x
It depends if the infection is viral or bacterial. If it's viral you let nature take its course, if bacterial you take antibiotics. Having said that, I have just gotten over a bacterial chest infection (I know it was bacterial because it followed a gum infection) and I just treated it naturally. People take too many antibiotics these days which leads to them not being effective when taken for more serious health issues.
I'm with Tesco for my dog. Excess is only £60 and it covers dental also. I pay £18 a month.. X @@TheBudgetFoodie
Mb was here feel better
Hey Mary x thanks xx
You can always call 111 for advice.
That’s true xx
I woke up on Sunday feeling terrible too. My husband made me banana porridge too!! Our lives are almost parallel (except for the husband)
Haha yes!
You can't take antibiotics like that, iv just got over wot you av, X
How doc you get better? X
That is not a curry my friend.... If you need a recipe do let me know 🎉
It’s a budget curry 👍🏼
@@leannejayne3545 I apologise...
It may not be a curry but it was fast to make which she wanted and she liked the taste which is all that matters at the end of the day. Mildly spiced vegetables served with rice may of been a better description but it really doesn't matter.
Yes... I'm happily single with 3 animals. But when illness hits it is a drag. The only time I get down about things. Hope all is well soon!
Please do
