Nearly 8 years after this video, Reckful decided to stop playing this game. He made a hell of a lot of gold in the end, but it wasn't enough for him, because there is so much more to the game than just gold. Even though he quit, we will never forget the Legendary Rouge that was Reckful.
I've nearly quit myself, but it was people like this great man, that helped me pull though and keep playing.
Tomorrow can always be better, especially if you que up with some friends.
R.I.P. Byron Bernstein, a true legend of the game. You will be missed.

Never quit. You don't know what's gonna happen. You work hard, look around yourself and find the right people. There's beauty in life that you WILL see at some point in your life. Please just reach out, don't ignore it. Don't say it's not serious. Accepting treatment doesn't mean you're weak, it's the exact opposite.

@@Oddplanet99 And so what? Complain more about it? Go to the point like this Jew did and end yourself? Stop givin in to these non-european and foreign feelings, these desert emotions of guilt and sadness.
Money does NOT equal happiness. Having this said, make your life good from the position of where you are at now. Get a Job. Save money responsibly. Buy a house. Buy a car. In the process of this you might even get a girlfriend that you can propose to and have a wife and then you'll have a big family, with a nice american V8 car and a nice house on a ranch.
If you don't like where you are right now? Then fucking change it. There are only excuses. Hell, in my country it's 100x harder to do this compared to U.S.A where you pay almost no tax for anything, meaning that the money you make for the same ammount of work over here is WAY MORE and thus, re-investing that money will propel you further than if you were to do it here, however AM I COMPLAINING??? No.
Because there is no possible way to change this FACT. I love my country as a patriot though, so moving from here is not an option for me. I'm going to make my life great from the position where I'm currently at.
Everyone can do it. There are no excuses. One of the richest men in the world today is called George Soros and guess how he started life? As a poor farmer boy without barely any money during WW2.

Edit: If anyone feels alone. If u feel like u can't talk to anyone. Your friends or family like they dont get it or you dont want to burden or hurt them with your thoughts or feelings of suicide or self harm; it hurts everyone so much more being silent. I know its hard. I know some people wont understand. Youll feel attacked
    Misunderstood.
    Unimportant.
    An outsider.
But you arent. You arent alone. People care about you. I care. I may not know you. I may not have met you and i may never meet you but that doesnt take this connection away right here and now. The power words carry should not lose potency because of a chance interaction so just hear me out when i say i respect you. I appreciate you. You exist for a reason. You didn't have to fight these battles for no reason. You didnt deserve to suffer through it but those were the cards dealt. And here you are to read my words if you were patient enough to entertain an anonymous mans ramblings. You're so much stronger than you know. Than you could ever give yourself credit for.

There are things beyond comprehension for most people when trying to approach it so they repeat what they've heard or try to be supportive and build you up by saying you can get over it or what have u.
They wont understand any more if u do it. I wouldn't recommend holding it over your head on the actions or responsibilities of others...you have to understand that this decision isnt to be made for anyone but yourself because while it hurts everyone affected it killed you. You're worth so much more to the world than that.

He may have been one of the smartest young men you'd ever hope to meet, though on this subject he was wrong:
It's not about what you've been given. It's about what you do, with what you've got!
If only he had realised, that his gift was just as a major one as the "character" who seems to have "everything" from his story.
Sure he had his burdens, as everyone else has in their own different ways and measures. And of course he was very ill.
But there are many people out there struggling each day and getting back up again, ready to face the next day and battle whatever heads their way - so you know you're never alone with lifes waste piling up in front of your own doorstep. (I find that comforting in a strange way)
And life will swing many a punch your way and cut you and laugh at you, while you're bleeding...
If you don't let it define you, you'll grow stronger - and that inevitably will guide you into a positive mindset! I guarantee you that!
R.I.P Byron, still entertaining me after all these years!

I came across this video on TH-cam and ended up finding your channel this way. Man, as a person whose father has been playing World of Warcraft since it first came out, your passing hit me hard. But finding this specific video after searching for something else unrelated, that just made me shed a couple of tears.
The things that some people can do to push others over the edge is disappointing and it makes me lose my faith in unity and harmony of humanity. We’re never going to truly achieve that because of some people who spend their time hurting others. As someone whose childhood years of school involved half of that school time with being bullied and breaking down, my heart scorches in hatred and the bellicose feeling of vengeance against those who did us wrong.
Bullying is a serious issue that’s still a huge reason for suicide and people keep doing it despite that. It makes me so angry. I have Aspergers so all of my school life I spent as a special needs student(not full-time, I took regular classes too). Even though I think differently and react differently than others I’m furious at how easy it is to hurt someone online and I’m hoping to see something done about its simplicity in the near future.
Rest easy, Byron. You will never be forgotten for what you did, let alone how you went down. As someone who has come close to doing the same for the same reason in the past I’m willing to do whatever it takes to prevent this kind of breaking from happening to anyone else.

To all of you thinking video games is the reason he isn't progressing in real life:
Actually playing video games made him a living, not even average in my opinion because he makes way more money than your local grocery store or if you work at a coffee shop. Life is nothing more than a test. If you do excellent on your exams teachers will idolize you for other students, and if you do bad you'll be treated as if you don't exist. To do good you need to start somewhere, Reckful chose his starting point in video games at with the money he has now he could have a promising future. He is highly intelligent and could steer to a better future, but that of course comes if he isn't happy with his current status.
We aren't born equal in looks, wealth, intelligence, or interests. That is the point of life, to live among different people and find what it is that you believe is worth living for. Never think "Oh it's unfair those rich kids get to live a fun life by merely being born into it while i have to work for it and maybe get that kind of life". Yes they may seem to have a fun life but it doesn't really mean they're having fun. You only get a certain amount of satisfaction every time you consume a good before that satisfaction runs out. Finding something that is in between fun and hard-work is where you should be forever happy.

He was a top streamer that unfortunately committed suicide about a week ago. His "why would anyone play this game" line hits pretty heavy right now. I agree with you, it's a bit twisted to see "gold" as the main objective, at least when comparing a millionaire to someone living comfortably with his 70000. A more valuable comparison on the same area would be to compare his 70000 to someone who started with 0 and struggled to even make 1 to survive.

@@exci6198 thats my point, why would you compare yourself? Try to see the positive, although easier said than done. Especcially when you are facing depression. And yes I know he was a big streamer and that he commited suïcide. But I never watched his streams, thats what I meant with I dont know who he is. Thanks for the opinion.

Unfortunately real life is all about money, power and resources. If you don't have them people will chew you down, your family, every person you know, bomb your country and kill your kids. That's how real world works, i guess it's something person who doesn't know history is trying to avoid.

@@Русские_вперед I'm not a millionaire but I'm living a very happy life with my "70000" - and I don't see myself being much happier with millions. So you must be talking about the comparison that I suggested instead: living comfortably vs being born with a handicap, being born in the "wrong" country, with the "wrong" ethnicity, "wrong" religion, with disabilities etc.

@@Русские_вперед I dont know in which country you life. But in my country people do care about the lower "class". So yes the country where you are born does matter in this. But can you please bring a example of this?

Rip reckful. I love you. Mental health should be taken seriously guys. If you're going through any depression or anxiety please reach a friend or someone you trust. Please never consider suicide as an option. Think about how people would feel if you were gone. Your parents your bestfriends or even your sister. Peace✌️

The ranking system isn’t based on the amount of gold a player has but on the score you get from completing your own personally tailored quests. Each player creates their own campaign. Keep playing!
