    Over the years I have discovered a lot of good music thanks to KEXP and I was waiting for these records with Aynur :) This selection of songs is so powerful. I have been listening to Aynur for many years. I don't know how can she manage to keep her humbleness and humanity despite her wide fame and powerful music. She is not only the Kurdish people's greatest artist, she has connected not only the generations but also people from faraway lands, speaking other languages. If you have no idea about the Kurdish music, language, or history, once you have started listening to Aynur, you feel the urge to look for more. Thank you, KEXP and Aynur!

    I saw Aynur live for the first time last year in Mannheim. The performance in her voice does not exist a second time. Thank you Aynur for the trip.. and a big thank you to KEXP ✌️

    Watcher her live in Stockholm. Her voice got me in the soul. So cozy how she asked the Kurds to raise their hand. Got me feeling homesick. Biji keça Kurda, long live our a Kurdish girls

Sevgiler.
    Thanks KEXP.

    Incredible performance. What's the story of the name, Aynur? In the Silmarillion, Tolkien referred to the gods that sang Middle Earth into existence as the Ainur.

    Turkey has a government TV channel broadcasting entirely in Kurdish language (paid by my tax money), so thanks for all the misinformation.. Hope one day the US does it for the native American languages. And the BBC for the less spoken Irish language as well, as they rule northern Ireland.

      There are more than twenty-five million Kurds in Turkey or more. A question for you, is opening a TV channel in Kurdish a great thing in your view for a people who constitute half of the (Turkish) people?

    • @kdakan

      @@hamidsalim2617 Yes, it's great to learn and develop the language and keep it alive. Btw, as of 2024, Turkey has official 87 million citizens, add to that about 10 million recent immigrants from Syria and elsewhere. I have a Kurdish close relative as well, so nothing against them. But there are some living abroad, who don't follow the situation here for several decades and keep on talking s.t. Hope one day other more "developed" countries do similar for their minorities, Greece for example doesn't even officially recognize the existence of the Turkish minority living there for the past 6 centuries.
