I'm following these guides. Very handy. Quite new to the game and my friend and I have not much of a clue what to do. I will watch and learn some more! Thanks.

Hi man ! Great guide ! At 9:00, you can also use "f" and use the mouse to zoom in and directly see what kind of gems it is :)

Great video Triton! As a combat pilot, this stuff is pretty new to me. Thanks for going into so much detail.
    Keep up the great work

Turning the ROC off and on with the mouse manually correct the arm bug.

What methods can be used to find crystal minerals more quickly?

I have discovered that different ships have different sensor suites. The two ships I have found with really good sensors for Gems are the Prospector and Constellation. They can detect the crystals at 5km where a lot of other ships are stuck with 2.5km range. There are probably others. Working with a scout is very efficient. They are looking for a field while you are mining a field. This increases the productivity a great deal. If they are in a fast and manoeuvrable ship or one of the ships with long range sensors, a scout will cut out a lot of the searching time you spend on a mining trip. Well worth splitting the profits.
My friends and I use a scout ship and a Constellation Taurus with two ROCs. The scout helps mine but leaves when all the gems are fractured. The second person cleans up the Gems and follows to the next field that the scout finds. If you haven't found a site by then, you have two people searching.

If you find a small and fast ship we can rent/buy cheaply that has the 5 km or better sensor range then please share. I think everyone would benefit from the knowledge.

@@TheBoffinLabs Thank you. My time is fragmented, so I can only play solo. >_

@@supwang I would normally recommend the Constellation Andromeda but the hire cost is much higher in this patch. You are looking at 250k/day roughly and that makes it not really worth it for a solo operation. The only other ship that could carry a ROC that you could hire for a reasonable price is the Freelancer. The problem is the freelancers is practically blind. Tested it for an hour and didn't find a single gem field so its scan range may be worse than the Cutlass Black.
However if you have made enough money, I would recommend starting to mine with a Prospector. The price is only a little more than a ROC and Cutlass combo. You also got two options on how quickly you get your money. I find the Return to Base [RTB] mining model helps avoid server related issues stealing all your work. Check out my video on Prospector mining
