I just got the monster SRPD25 with the dark blue dial and black bezel and I love it. I love it so much, I’m considering this one also Srpe27 PADI version for the right price. Beautiful watch and Seiko did a great job!

You had me going up until the 4 minute mark! I actually thought that bezel was aligned. No excuse Seiko, none. They have definitely lost money from me because of this tendency.

Pins and collars are so frustrating. I bent one on my Seiko samurai. Then my sizing tools kept getting stuck in the collar. Much prefer the cotter pin style with the sleeve. Easy to size and reliable.

If I can find one that matches the bezel, that would be cool. Always wanted one of these. So when was told to pick a watch for my 15yr anniversary, I saw this was avail and chose it.
Great looking watch. I'm not a Seiko guy but that is really sharp. I would think Seiko has heard enough about quality control to fix it. They have had problems for way too long. And this is a new one! I'm a Citizen guy. Please do more Citizens. I know you don't get your hands on that many Citizens but their Promaster line is amazing. Another great vid Rob. Keep it up.
I have the 3rd generation Green monster with the 6r15 movement ISO Certified SZSC005 (Made in Japan ) . I’m surprised they decided to change movements. Enjoyed your video. Stay Safe
For something a bit different, I think rubber straps look great on this gen. The way the case is cut out under the lugs makes straight end straps look almost fitted.
I love the lume in this one too! It’s much easier to read the time, plus it’s just cool! Thanks for another great video Rob!!! Just get the band length in when you do the full review please!

Hey Bob. Why don`t you mention that die bracelett of this Padi Monster is not that solid like the braceletts at Monsters Gen. 1, 2 and 3 are ? Its thiner, feels cheap an rattles much more than the older versions do. First time it put the Padi-Monster out of the box I missed the "Monster impression" I do have with my 1. Gen Monster- the toolwatch feeling.
Bought two of these.. one from a company in Japan, the other directly from Seiko USA. Both have bezel misalignment issues; the one from Japan was the worst, the other is okay but not perfect.
I would have gotten this, but they increased the size just a little bit and the latest generation and they sized me out of it. It's too bad because I missed out on the Gen 2 and 3 Monster. So now I only have my Gen 1.
Why not green lume for both hands and the bezel pip, then blue for the indices. Just my preference, but I get why Seiko does the green for the minute hand only.
Seiko Monster's are one of my favorite watches. Not sure I would pay $500 for a 4r36 and miss-aligned bezle though....sucks because I like the colorway.
The" K"means it was manufactured outside of Japan. The "K" DOESN'T stand for Korea. It could be an area in the watch dial also. Look at the DIAL it'll say on the bottom right or left of the 6 o'clock where it's made. The number 1 at the end of the model number means there's more than 1 band for this watch available
Hi Rob, and thanks for the great content! Just this morning I returned my SRPE27 to Seiko USA due to bezel issues. I’ve been looking at the Padi Tuna SBBN039, and Shopping in Japan have a couple, asking over $1600 for what is essentially a paint job. It seems ridiculous to spend that kind of money. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.. Thanks!
Why can’t they get the bezels aligned with the dial aligned with the case? Maybe when they are getting Tudor money for a mid tier Seiko, they will feel compelled to get it right. Probably not.
I really like monsters but I do not like this one whatsoever. I don’t like 4r36, I don’t like the day complication on there and I hate the colored bezel. The third gen monter is so great that people are paying over a thousand dollars for them because there is so few of them and seiko comes out with this?? They really missed the mark badly. The quality thing is getting ridiculous on some of these watches because they are priced so high. I really like some seiko models but I just don’t understand why they do some of the things they do.
What are all your funky, clunky, chunky misaligned SEIKOs good for? Sorry. Nothing is actually made in Japan. Made by robots in the who knows, who cares country, with supervision by Japanese staff, thats sufficient for the MiJ label.

Love my 4th Gen blue monster. This colourway is wild but I dig it.
As a Monster fan I was never fond of the 4th Gen, I just don't like the black finish but this is a nice colourway, waiting for the all silver steel
