@@Tattoobart147 just ordered the fold pro w 2 batteries. I have an Axys Valkyr that I love but the cam bearing failed in the middle of a tattoo so I had to send it for repair. But the stroke is only from 1.9-3.2. Which is fine (I’m a cosmetic & restorative tattoo artist) but now that I’m learning traditional tattooing I need more punch. My backup is a mast tour but I don’t feel like it’s the best for tattooing actual people.
You dont really need to lubricate it, what you can do if its a bit ‘noisy’ screw of the grip and use a lubricant or a bit of vaseline in the hole where the pushrod sits. But dont lubricate any mechanical parts
@@Tattoobart147 oh ok ... i saw in a video that the top side of the wheel need to be lubricated every 80 hours ... But that's a good news if it's not really necessary ;) ... Thank you
@franckstanguennec2260 honestly i dont even know hoe to reach that part of the machine. Because it doesnt come apart that easily🤣 but have fun with the machine!! Hopefully you get to make some great art with it!
What are these companies named their machines the same for.. they all use the same motors, bodys or change the look a tad.. the soldier has the same motor and body as my "hello" machine,.. what do you think i shoud buy ? Which is the best right now if i only buy one adjustable ? Just got a torped so need one more
I am not sure, i have tried to look intonit for a while but it seemed like it has been protected pretty well. If you are looking for an adjustable machine i have a comparisom video where i compare a couple of different brands with each other
Hi, bro. I use now Ambition Soldier and very happy with this machine, but i want to try to work with different stroke machines and want to make my shadows more softer. What you recommend me from Dragonhawk or Mast. I'm thinking about Dragonhawk Fold pro or Mast Fold pro 2, fold 3 or mast flip pro. Thank you 🙏
It depends a bit on your budget. But i would go with either the fold pro or the fold 3. Thos were my favorite 2 machines in that catagory. You can use code tattoobart20 for extra discount 👌
The details helped me decide that i should have 3 different machines and for good reason lol but yeah i have the archer 3.5 now and the fold 2 pro which ill likely add another to my stable for dedicated bigger mag work and power lining for the new skool style. Coming from coil machines these are a trip and ive realized that cartridges can be 65% of the equation for the way the membrane and tension is for the "hit"
Yea a lot of times the cartridge can make a whole lot if difference. Also i feel you can push way harder on to the skin than you would with a coil. I sometimes still prefer a sidewinder or coil to do my lining with. But i am slowly adapting as well
@Tattoobart147 I don't really push the thing into the skin I let it glide under its own weight or float the tip and use pinky ad a backspring like I have since I started tattooing at like 10 years old thanks to my older brother who was 19 years older than me and in the industry. Shops here and really all over are pushing for the "disposable career" as was called by one of my mentors in the scene and life. They don't want me to run coil machines at all, despite it being a better liner and faster by orders of magnitude, or the few that allow it here require all disposable everything which seems to invalidate most of why I searched for or built and machined the tube's I have.... but regulations trying to push autoclave out and make it weird. I love my coil machines and knowing how I built them or how they were built for me by the artists that custom built them as gifts means I know exactly what to do and how it will hit due to their design etc. As these "wands" or "rotary wands/pens" wear in you will never truly see it all till it either massively fails or falls out of usability and you'll have to try finishing the tattoo another time after the mail comes in. Cartridges much like old school prebuilt needle selection and company make a WORLD of difference and should be the huge thing that is looked at first, making a machine that has a stroke that's measurable is easy and old technology, so variances will be in adjustability, or set throw length of stroke, and durability/how long the motor will last. Cartridges have variations on membrane tension, it's thickness/resistance and then how the needle sits in there and angles through to the tip, and then how the membrane pulls back on the stroke or rather the speed at which it pulls back
Hi! Ty for the review! It was trully helpfull, I just ordered my first machine, a Fold Pro and some needles. I used your code for the 10%, ty too for this! I hope you get some money for it too! ❤
Yes i preffered the mast fold 2 pro for finer lines. The fold pro is a bit to powerfull in my opinion for finelinework. Specially on 3.9 or 4.2. But again everyone is different. My coleague uses the fold pro for anything, fineline, bold lines, soft shading and packing on the 4.2mm stroke.
Would you prefer fold 2 pro or fold pro or fold 3? I usually line with 3 or 5 rl and rarely use 7rl. But i use small and larger magnums like 9rm or 24rm.
Been binge watching all your cideos. I really like your way of explaining. Can i ask you, do you notice that much of a difference between the strokes on the fold pro?
Well i try to keep my reviews neutral. Because dor most part a machine is personal prefrerence. For me personal the yilong f6 was the best. But this ofcourse is a personal thing
@@Tattoobart147 And between the ones in the videos, which would you rather use for finer lines? Or does the Yilong clear both of them when it comes to lines?
@bruhmoment9216 between the both i would go for the fold pro since its more versitile. Fold pro will beat the yilong. But the fold pro was not my favorite for fineline. For finelines i would prefer the fold 2 pro. But overall the fold pro is a better machine
Thank you for this video ! I would like to buy a machine to learn tattooing but just as a hobby not to make it my job, which one of these two machines would you recommend ?
Which budget friendly machine you can recommed for tradiotional tattoo style? Is the fold 2 pro a good opinion for starting and learning? And you have some good fake skin that u can recommed?
Im new . I had the wormhole 40 dollar pen and i sent it back and ordered the fold2pro and now im hearing its weak ??? Man remember people doing tattoos with neadles and cassette player parts 😂 . Idk ill see tomorrow i gues
Nah weak is not the right word. The fold pro is a bit stronger than the fold 2 pro. You can do great work with the fold 2 pro. Just give it some time and be patience. You’ll love the machine
Thank You for this extensive review, it helped a lot to make the right decision in buying!👌🏼✨️
What machine would you recommend that’s budget friendly and good quality
There is a lot nowadays. Would it be a pen style machine or a normal al machine
@@Tattoobart147 pen style machine
I think my favorites right now are yilong f6, dragonhawk fold 3 and ambition torped

Personal prefference
Thanks for the breakdown, spent so much time trying to decide which one to buy. Super helpful!

I use both fold2 for shade and fold pro for lines so i wont be having to chance the stroke and needle poke every time
some who use fold pro as liner, its kind rare! can u give me some tips to it? shading is amazing with it to me, but lining...
@SAWmacaco i think on the 4.2 its a great liner. If you are used to coils you might have to press a little bit harder than what you are used to
Thanks for détails
Tnx for this review❤
I work on both Minimal Line and Hyper Real, and I decided to buy Fold 2 Pro, do you think this is a wrong decision or right?
I think it is probably the best out of this 2 for your style of tattooing

Dus alles bij elkaar is de fold pro de beste keuze. Ik vroeg het me inderdaad af en kwam hier terecht 😄
Ja daar komt het eigenlijk wel op neer ja 😅
I’m a fine line tattooist. I like to use 4m for my lines. What machine is better for 5rl lines?
To be honest i consider 5rl lines as fineline. I think you could use the fold 2pro nicely.
Yes I do fine lines so 5rl 3rl and sometimes 1rl but wondering if it gives enough punch for those.
