May Allah (subhanahu wa) bless this sheikh abundantly. Every time I listen to his speech, he consistently quotes from the Hadith, Quran, and the words of scholars, all from his memory. Aallahu akbar
At 41:28 I was shocked at how the previous generation pursue knowledge to the extent that some of them being crushed to death. Subhannallah, compare that with us where knowledge is easily accessible but we have been led astray by the duniya and it’s pursuit.

The more and more I listen to the lectures the more and more I realize how we Muslims living in the US are wasting our lives running after things that really have no real value. The dunya distracts you from knowledge. I got to make hijrah from these disbelieving people. May Allah grant you all good.

Abu Abdullah, Malik ebn anas ebn Malik, his grandfather was a tabi'in scholar.
Anas ebn Malik d. 93h, Malik ebn Anas born 93 h.
Malik took from Nafi mawla ebn Umar
& took from Md shihab ebn Zuhri,
& Hisham ebn Urwah ebn Zubayr.ebn Awwam a sahaba. Zubayr was one of the 7 jurists in Madina.
Imam dhahabi said he was a youth scholar at 21 to give fatwa - get rulings directly from Quran & Sunna, not teach.
Until Caleef of Rashid his gatherings were full when he passed.
Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him said ppl will take a camel to seek fiq in din and they will find the most knowledgable is the one of Madina...
Tirmidhi in Jamiah, ibn Hibba in Sahih and Imam Ahmad in his Musnad.
ebn juraij is a mudalis and uses word on so it's not sahih.
ebn Hanbal said its mawqoof to Abu Hurairah.
Sh. Wasiullah said it's sahih.
Sufyan ebn Uyaynah though it ws Saeed ebn Musair - the most knowledgable tabi'in

Abul Mugira Makzumi said it's not specific to a person, that every time a scholar of medina will be most knowledgable.
Abdullahi ebn Abdul Aziz Umari was a zhud person, very abid worshiper.
Ebn Abdil Bar said Imam Malik was higher in ilm and fiqh, the hadith said ppl will travel to him from the world, that matches Imam Malik.
Umari says cut from the ppl, Imam Malik says like rizq Allah opens the door of worship to us all. Perhaps for one salat is easy, another jhad is easy, another sadaqa is easy, for another fasting is easy. Spreading knowledge is among the best acts. I hope we are both on good.

Some say Layth ebn Saad has more fiqh then Imam Malik per Imam Shafii.Imam Malik had more students.
Jafar Mansoor said I will use your muwatta as a constitution, Imam Malik said don't do that as there are other scholars with other opinions from other sahaba that maybe valid so I don't want my views forced.

there are ppl who disagree on fiqh today and they boycott.
Abdullah ebn Wahb told Imam Malik about putting fingers between toes, Imam Malik said i never heard this hadith but after rehearing it he gave fatwas on it, we are to follow the sunnah.
Md ebn Umar said Sh. Malik would come to the daily 5, visit sick and go to jumua and janaiz. then he left sitting between salats to avoid students. then he left janaza as ppl would try to ask his questions, same with jumua.
Sunna of Allah is to test ppl of ilm, and it can be they are tested until they are sinless.
Ppl asked Imam Malik why don't you come to masjid, he said not everyone has an excuse that can be spoken of... some say he was unwell, others say ruler prevented him.
Imam Malik was white red in complexion. all he wore was white, he was tall & broad.
his beard was all white.
HE was a person when you see him, all you have is respect.
Md Hasan Shaybani said he would hear 700 hadith of Imam Malik.
imams of that time were 4, Sufyan Thawri, Malik Anas, Awzai', Hamad Zaidin.
Imam Malik was known to say I don't know, a sheild of scholars

Al Haytham said 48 questions were given to Imam Malik and for 32 he said la adree.
Abu Darda by ibn Abdul Bar said, saying I don't know is half of knowledge.
Imam Malik was beaten on Fatwa on talaq and later on he was unable to put hands on chest, others say there is another point.
His Aqida on Ahl Sunna, has book risalatil Qada wrote to Abdullah ebn Wahbin , with sahih Chain.
His famous statement on Allah being above His Throne.
We know the meaning but not Kayfiya for Allah's rising - we can use this for Allah's Siffat.
Golden chain to Malik is Malik, Nafi and ebn Umar
in Raad Jamiyah Imam Malik said Allah fis Sama. Fii can mean Aa'la.
Like hadith of abd bint.
Malik took strong position, Quran is Speech of Allah uncreated.
said anyone who says Quran is uncreated should be Iashed & in position.
Murfi and cawarij were refuted by imam Malik - Iman is speech and acts.
He corrected the Ahnaf who fell short.

AbdurRahman ebn Mehdi said I never saw more taqwa and respect to the people towards him.
Manners we learned from him was above his knowledge.
In gatherings were crowded and ppl would not look at each other.
Have we served the din? To please Allah and be resurrected with His MEssenger?
Kanabe was a person who drinks khummer... and that's when they speak there minds, then he saw ppl go to a man named shuba who is a scholar....
A scholar narrated if you feel no haya then do as you wish - this hadith hit him.
Then KArnabe sat under Imam Malik until he ended up in the Muwatta and Bukhari.
He passed 179H. He rests in Baqiyah. There will be a time off for Eid.

Sahih hadith, 1 condition is isnad is connected, the ppl in the isnad need to have precise memory, decency & dignity, it can't oppose other narrations like Quran or more hadith or it's shad/da'if, & it can't have hidden defects.
There is famous story of Bukhari of his memory tested.
Sh. Muqbil has a risala, hadiths w/ hidden defects but are apparently sahih, and he gives it explanations.
Says he will discuss the isnad of Muwatta & fiqh.

a Hidden defect can be one student hears from another student, but does that mean what student B said was from their teacher on a day student A missed class?
Sahabas are praised in Quran, so we only look at their character if they contradict other sahabas.
Sahabas are a hujjah!
ibn Abdul Barr did't write hadith in order of Mwuatta but order his teachers taught him.
There is also a tahkiq dr. Bashar Awab Buhwaswan
