Tyler has a very engaging channel. He explains what he's doing without being boring (a rare talent), has fantastic dog sense, thinks through problems, and is a great father.
Busy farmer !! Cows, Bulls, trailers, hay hauling, dogs, sprinklers and on and on !! BTW, let's see your family occasionally, Tyler !! Thanks for sharing my friend !! It's easy to see why you never get bored !!😅
Loving seeing your bales fill the barn. It must feel good to get all that done. A feeling of accomplishment, food for your cattle. Kinda like money in the bank.
Greetings from Denmark. Every farmer knows, that to haul bales safely, you have to snap the rope with your fingers, while saying: "That ain't going nowhere"...
My Father was a Farm Kid in the early 1900's. At the sound of the Roosters crow b4 Dawn, he wd rise put on his overalls, go to the barn, milk the 3 Cows by hand, feed the 2 giant Plough Horses & others, collect eggs. Come in for a breakfast of plump Hotcakes, homemade Butter, Syrup, Biscuits, homegrown Eggs, Bacon (no fear of nitrates), dn a mug of strong, black Coffee and set out on Maude - one of the big Horses - and riding bareback up to the "high pasture", herded the rest of the Cows down to the Farm - then "ride the wire" (look for & repair fences).
I have projects that have been waiting for 25 years. Every time I think I'll get started on one of them, there is always a " I just have to do this other thing first".
Hey Tyler, I think I mentioned it before but I will do it again, try the yellow sticky paper around a 5 gallon paint tin, it works for flies. Keep up the good work and I wish and your family well ✌️
Didn’t FTR try something last year? I don’t think it’s what you mentioned, but I do remember it was with cans and liquid. I’m not sure. Anyway it didn’t work. But maybe what you are suggesting will work. 🙂
That trailer is getting a workout! Ha ha. I ran into the same issue with the flatbed cabover Ford I had. The other thing is the brakes weren't as good as modern trucks.. plus no AC. All deciding factors for which truck I want to use. I hope the girls calve out, and everyone is healthy. Take care
Hi farmer Tyler. Good to see you getting the hay in the barn. What two beautiful dogs you got Good luck and God bless you and your family from across in Great Britain
Love watching U Tyler. U do such Incredible Work by yourself. Callie and Bella is so Awesome. Bella learns so quickly it is Amazing. Keep Pushing, U Rock!
Had a cattle wick. Made a L shape frame . And the wick is at a 45 degree angle. Small and large cattle had no problem. I used turn buckles to tighten the wick
You should put a temporary backstop on the trailer for hauling hay to prevent the stack from rolling prior to strapping. Dodge flatbed would work with a simple drop hitch. There are many that would handle 10k.
Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 12-1/2" Drop - 10K. Hey Tyler copy and paste in search bar and look for one of these on google and check out this hitch. It might work for the dodge! Hope this helps!!!
Another busy day but the barn is looking good with all that hay in it and the cows are looking good also never enough time on a farm have a good weekend.
hi FT you are amazing at farming as well as your many other talents that you have, I’m quite sure you don’t have enough hours in a day to be able to do what needs to be done. You are correct in what you said about projects the idea is there sometimes just no time, so the idea sits on the back burner for along while.Well take care remember always to take time out when you can!
Lester Morrow on Longhorn Lester was gifted a Vetgun that he shoots a fly control on his cows and bulls. The treatment is good for a month. I don't recall the name, but you might check with your veterinarian.
Hi FT! Well, the barn is looking very plentiful! It has to be a great feeling when it is finished! Really slick operation indeed! Love the part where you check on your cattle, pink eye can be challenging for sure! God’s blessings!❤❤❤❤
You are a good fabricator and you know how to think out side of the box,I think you could make one better then the ones you buy.I wouldn't change the trailer.thanks for what you do.
Sonne Farms in S Dakota has a free standing fly stand with two ropes (kinda like the top of a kite) that get soaked with fly killing solution. The ropes scratch the itch and the cows use them based on the hair found on the rope. A possible solution, FTR.
Have you tried a sulfur block for the flys? Was dealing with some pinkeye and fly trouble month ago or so. Talked to guy that runs local feed store and he said put one out. Pinkeye has gone away and don’t seem to have near the fly pressure. Not saying it was the whole answer but maybe worth a try. Enjoy the videos and happy farming 👋🏻
For the flies try some Martin's Cyonara Plus Pour-On Insecticide the next time you have them trapped. It's oil based and it flat out works. Once it dries it doesn't wash off. It's not cheap but I have never found another product that works as well.
Flatbead/trailer issue. Add a lower hitch to the flatbed L and add a high hitch to the trailer 7 so you have a double hitch [ ===]. just a idea. It would allow you to keep the trailer level and spread the weight over two hook ups.
Bugger your coupling is welded to the trailer. Otherwise the solution would be to add a riser block under the coupling on the trailer. I have a trailer I use a 4 inch riser block on when I use the big 4wd to tow the trailer, I just have a longer set of bolts to hold the coupling on when using the riser block, takes about 10 minutes to install it.
Tyler; have you ever entertained idea of Piggybacking another smaller trailer, in tandem to main trailer, for adding additional 4-6+bales. If terrain & roads would allow it. Another great video
Hey could you do a video or put in a video of your gates how you built them with a handle and how itcslides and locks. Thanks love your videos keep on keeping on my friend. Cliff
For your trailer to dodge issue I reckon you could put a 8 hole adjustable coupler on the trailer and use in combination with a 6'' or 8'' drop receiver
I use a 6” Rapid Hitch on my truck. I know they make a 10” drop, and mine is rated to 10k on a 2-5/16” ball. We are prepping for hay season here in north Idaho.
When we haul cornstalk bales in the fall we ratchet strap a 4×6 to the deck of the trailer for the back bottom bale to rock against. It is a cheap insurance to keep bales on the trailer. With your new arrowquip chute can't you run the one late cow in and arm her so you know if she is bred? Knowing would make her worth more at the salebarn.
I'm working on a design for a portable frame to hang a cattle rub on made from square tubing thar will pin to some corral panels to put around the water trough at some leased property I have.
I assume people have mentioned how Cole Sonne does it. He puts “treats” down and then goes by the cows with a four wheeler and sprays them while riding on the four wheeler.
Y'all need to invent a drone with a squirt bottle. Program a daily routine. RFID tags in their ears so the drone knows which ones have been sprayed already.
here in Texas our water in west Texas comes from water wells... the water you open up on your fields is that from a well or city water as in you buy it monthly .... or how do you water pastures and it be affordable and worth while.... would like to hear how it's done there
Tyler be proud of your work.. Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴 I do run a little small holding about 40 heads not easy doing farming but someone has to do as Trump was saying 😅.. No farmers no food
Hook the trailer to the truck and see how it sits. Loaded and unloaded. The load may pull the truck down lower. With my Dodge, the back end doesn't squat under a heavy load, the whole truck drops lower and stays level.
I agree with @danrose3233 on both of his suggestions (hay backstop and adjustable drop hitch). I also was wondering if you might be able to mount a second hitch below the current hitch, although that might be more work than the drop hitch idea. Finally, There are cow pregnancy test kits available if you want to know for sure about #16 (and there is always the manual palpation method). As always, thanks for a great video.
Tyler has a very engaging channel. He explains what he's doing without being boring (a rare talent), has fantastic dog sense, thinks through problems, and is a great father.
And has a very beautiful wife, & has 2 adorable young children! I lived across the freeway from this family 20 years ago.😊
Busy farmer !! Cows, Bulls, trailers, hay hauling, dogs, sprinklers and on and on !! BTW, let's see your family occasionally, Tyler !! Thanks for sharing my friend !!
It's easy to see why you never get bored !!😅
Iv been watching him since he started TH-cam it’s cool to see how far his ranch has came
@@deborah2302okay settle down Deborah
I’ve often thought what a great Ag teacher Tyler would make. But he’s probably too famous now.. 🙄
Loving seeing your bales fill the barn. It must feel good to get all that done. A feeling of accomplishment, food for your cattle. Kinda like money in the bank.
Couldn't have said it better.
There is something so aesthetically pleasing about a pyramid of round bales.
Ah, a new video. Perfect chance to sit down and have a cup of coffee and dream about living on a farm. Thanks Tyler
you must feel good with the barn full of hay!!!!!! I do and I am only watching!
So many hay bales, so little time...
I guess, that's a good situation to be in!
Greetings from Denmark. Every farmer knows, that to haul bales safely, you have to snap the rope with your fingers, while saying: "That ain't going nowhere"...
😅
😂😂😂 same in Australia 🦘😃
Long day brush hogging fields to end it off with a Farmer Tyler video. Todays been a good one!
My Father was a Farm Kid in the early 1900's. #16 is beautiful!!
Always lots of irons in the fire !!
I have projects that have been waiting for 25 years. Every time I think I'll get started on one of them, there is always a " I just have to do this other thing first".
They may like to rub on ìt just because they like to mess with things. It looked like the bulls were playing with their 's some.
Or, you have to do 5 other things (all involving much work) just to be able to get to the main project.
Hey Tyler, I think I mentioned it before but I will do it again, try the yellow sticky paper around a 5 gallon paint tin, it works for flies.
Keep up the good work and I wish and your family well ✌️

Here, in northern New South Wales, Australia, we use fly ear tags. We also use Alamycin LA ( 40ml) for pink eye in addition to eye meds.
Oh love it when I see you have a video up ❤so interesting following you around the ranch , hay looks great to…..
One man operatipn. Very knowledgeable🍼
Hey Tyler there's a company in Indiana called gen-y Hitch they make adjustable trailer hitches with high towing capacity. Love the videos keep it up 😊
Quick trip to the dentist this morning for check up... No cavities! Now back to hauling up round bales here in VA. 28 more to go in THIS field!
Maybe place the old squeeze shoot at the steer pasture, hmmm.
Yeah, I was wondering about that too
You can build a drop hitch I'm sure
Love watching U Tyler. U do such Incredible Work by yourself. Callie and Bella is so Awesome. Bella learns so quickly it is Amazing. Keep Pushing, U Rock!
Check out bulletproof hitches. They have the drop hitch you need
Had a cattle wick. Made a L shape frame . And the wick is at a 45 degree angle. Small and large cattle had no problem.
I used turn buckles to tighten the wick
Your bales are looking really good this year compared to last year. They seem tighter wrapped. 👍👍👍💛
Love seeing your video pop up , they feel like you are talking just to me... Best wishes from England UK 🇬🇧
You should put a temporary backstop on the trailer for hauling hay to prevent the stack from rolling prior to strapping.
Dodge flatbed would work with a simple drop hitch. There are many that would handle 10k.
Tyler, I would strongly recommend using eye patches. We normally put a big gob of terramycin on the eyeball and an eye patch. Works every time
Hello from Western Australia.
Hello from New York State 🙋🏻♀️
Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 12-1/2" Drop - 10K. Hey Tyler copy and paste in search bar and look for one of these on google and check out this hitch. It might work for the dodge! Hope this helps!!!
Wow you got some good size cows thank you for the video
Another busy day but the barn is looking good with all that hay in it and the cows are looking good also never enough time on a farm have a good weekend.
All looks good on the FTR! The Dodge is a bit long in the tooth but it still has life and service available! You will figure it out!
Calf 18 is so pretty!!!
hi FT you are amazing at farming as well as your many other talents that you have, I’m quite sure you don’t have enough hours in a day to be able to do what needs to be done. GOOD AFTERNOON TYLER GREAT JOB
Tyler, I saw a video several years ago about a deer farm here in WI..the farm used a baited fly trap and was filling up 55 gal drums with dead flys...
OK, 12.05am here in Oz ........ going to watch this one b4 bed !
You are a good fabricator and you know how to think out side of the box,I think you could make one better then the ones you buy.I wouldn't change the trailer.thanks for what you do.
Took a quick look on the internet. Drop hitches are available for your needs.
Sonne Farms in S Dakota has a free standing fly stand with two ropes (kinda like the top of a kite) that get soaked with fly killing solution. The ropes scratch the itch and the cows use them based on the hair found on the rope.
A possible solution, FTR.
Love those dogs. Well behaved.

You set two posts and put the back rub between them. Once they start feeling it they will go back to it.
That’s the way it would seem to me too
Bugger your coupling is welded to the trailer. Otherwise the solution would be to add a riser block under the coupling on the trailer. Take a look at bulletproof hitches. No affiliation or use. But have been looking at them myself. They have up to 16” drop rated for 22K towing.
My drop is multi position 8 inch -2 inch and it's 12 ton . Weld in a new reciever , just super brace it 🤪
You can put the back rub anywhere and the cows will use it. At least mine do. I found two trees with about the right length and done.
I use a 6” Rapid Hitch on my truck. I know they make a 10” drop, and mine is rated to 10k on a 2-5/16” ball. We are prepping for hay season here in north Idaho.
Gold Shaw farm. Built a sticky box. With fly tape. Took a little while but it cut the flies way down to nearly. nothing
❤ oh no sad news , one of our favorites.🙏
Good job
fly tags for the steers
Make your own drop hitch. You have the talent.
Why? Time....liability.....and hitches are cheap.
They do make adjustable truck hitches, check out on internet.
I have seen ear tags that are impregnated with fly repellent. Horse people are tying them into the horses manes. They say it works well.
I like your oil catch pan under the Ford. Some machine rehab videos coming in the future?
Andersen makes a heavy duty drop hitch. I have a 10” on my truck that’s rated for 10k and I believe they make a bigger drop than that.
Tractor supply & Home Depow both sell 12 in drop hitches
We use fly tags that work great!!
Gen y hitches

I love you videos👍
You forgot the most Vital part of loading a trailer.
Slappin it and sayin “She ain’t goin nowhere”
No doing so is folly 🤠🤠🤠🤠
I'm working on a design for a portable frame to hang a cattle rub on made from square tubing thar will pin to some corral panels to put around the water trough at some leased property I have.
Gen Y hitch look them up. I use there 32k drop hitch.
I assume people have mentioned how Cole Sonne does it. He puts “treats” down and then goes by the cows with a four wheeler and sprays them while riding on the four wheeler.
Your baler makes a really nice bale
Bulletproof Hitches. Little pricey, but worth the piece of mind knowing it can handle what your towing.
Your dogs are beautiful, I remember your brown and black dogs when I joined the channel, they were beautiful aswell, I forget their name's, Bear ?
Y'all need to invent a drone with a squirt bottle. Program a daily routine. RFID tags in their ears so the drone knows which ones have been sprayed already.
Next year you will have the Blue Dodge.
Buy an adjustable hitch
There's a large variation of 12" drop hitches out there.
Load that dodge up max load of bales and see how much squat you get, that weight combined with the loaded tongue of the trailer may just work.
Buy another trailer to suit the dodge and use both to bring in the bails get someone to drive 1 you drive the other faster for you love the video's
2 poles and the back rub.
I've said if before, but I'll say it again...... You have the BEST looking bails out of all the farmers we watch!!!!! Beautiful
They do have hitch drops the actual hitch can be bolted multiple positions.
here in Texas our water in west Texas comes from water wells... the water you open up on your fields is that from a well or city water as in you buy it monthly .... or how do you water pastures and it be affordable and worth while.... would like to hear how it's done there
B&w makes a drop hitch for you or Jin y hitch ant cheep but will do what you need
Tyler be proud of your work..
Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴
I do run a little small holding about 40 heads not easy doing farming but someone has to do as Trump was saying 😅..

45900 Adjustable Trailer Hitch Ball Mount, Adjustable Trailer Hitches 2-Inch Receiver, 6-Inch Drop, 2 and 2-5/16-Inch Balls, Load Capacity 14000 lbs, Black
It's only June will that be the only hay you get off that acreage?
There are places where they get a second crop of hay, but not in the area where FTR is at. He’s mentioned this is previous videos.
Could you make a drop bumper and make it so it's also a work bench with a vise and set the dodge up as a welding truck on the off season
What is Buddy's role as herd steer? Do you sell hay to other operations?
Buddy is more of a pet, and yes, he sells hay.
What happen to using the old dodge for hauling hay FTR???
How about antifly-eartags?
Question for you. How long do you leave the sprinkler on?
