I've had my GT4 for several weeks now. Coming from the GT3 (fully upgraded with V7 Vivids) it was interesting to put them head to head to see what advances have been made. The V7's in the GT3 was already transforming and elevating the sound. But it was instantly easy to hear improvements in all aspects of the sound with the GT4. There is more detail, more sound stage and a new clarity. A week later my Fusion Core showed up. Excited and not sure what to expect I could never have imagined that the sound could be elevated that much further. It was an entirely different amp now. The proverbial veil was lifted. It was truly a WTF moment for me?! GT4 with Fusion is a massive upgrade from GT3. Two years with the GT3 I was perfectly content with the sound I was enjoying especially upgrading to V7's. But man oh man all my headphones have never been so alive and punchy with a new level of bass depth and control that I didn't realize I was not experiencing. Hifiman Susvara sound even more stunning! Focal Utopia and Sennheisers have also been elevated to a new level. Burson has hit it out of the park with the GT4.. Even more so with a Fusion Core. I'm loving the GT4 and the sound it achieves in a compact simple solution that truly makes a Class A case for convenience and end game sound!

That's a tough one to answer! If you're after a richer sound with thicker mids, I'd suggest the Classics for sure. That said, the V7 Vivids with the SP02 and Fusion Core upgrades are already quite smooth and refined.
@PassionforSound Thank you ! Well... I am quite into this kind of mids, yes, since I mainly prefer tubes amplifiers. The question is how far from tubes do I go with the Soloist GT4 ? How come you didn’t make a comparison against the TT2 with the GT3 against the GT4 Conductor, if you thought this all in one was capable of replacing it? Or did you get rid of your TT2/MScaler already, so you couldn’t do a direct side by side comparison?
Yep, no TT2 anymore because I upgraded to the DAVE which is a superior DAC but maybe an inferior amp (at least for power output and authority). The GT4 still won't quite match the DAC quality of the TT2 due to the relatively flat soundstage, but it's exceptional in all other ways that I can think of.
The magnetar udp 900 has the ess 9038 pro dac for it’s 2 channel xlr out.would that be a good match for the burson conducter 4 gt.or would the soilist voyager be better.

@KXP70 yes, I'd still take the TT2 even without the M-Scaler. It's better thanks to the DAC design used even though the amp stages are probably equivalent.
Other than the versions of the same units (like 2021 vs 2023), it's fairly straightforward once you know how it works: basically, the source chain follows the roles in making music. He shouldn't review a product very positively an obviously great product just because it's from his homeland? It doesn't make any sense.
Yep. Does the same apply to a UK reviewer having positive sentiments about a UK brand's product or a US based reviewer saying good things about the many, many products built in the US?
You're not the only channel on TH-cam with fucked up distorted audio. What i don't understand is why is it an acceptable standard. People, turn your mic preamps down & or stop cranking up the gain in post production. When the red light keeps flashing or the meter is in the red a bunch, that's not a good thing.
What do you mean
