- The summer may be over, but my remakes keep on coming. This month's is on The World's Strongest Engine! Enjoy!
Back in October 2021, when I was planning the remakes for this year, I didn't even think to remake this episode. In January, when my line-up was finalized, the remake I was planning to do after Thomas & the Jet Engine was going to be Thomas Comes to Breakfast, but when it got closer, I realized that it would be too difficult to pull off the crash convincingly. So, I looked to my collection to see if there was a character I hadn't shown off at all or hadn't used in a while. I had gotten the 2011 Diesel for Christmas and decided to finally make a remake showing him off.
I took a week off after my Jet Engine remake was released to rest up and get all the materials needed. I had spent a decent amount of money of that remake, so I wanted to kind of back away from spending in this one. Before filming, I only had about 14 troublesome trucks and wanted to have 20 to complete the full train. I needed narrow gauge faces for an upcoming remake, so I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone and put the faces on some tankers! The faces came from Shapeways and were made by David Seth. Go check him out if you can! The faces, while I could've done a better job painting, were extremely well made!
To be honest, I don't think this video turned out as good as I was hoping. It really was just a placeholder between Jet Engine and a pretty big remake I'm planning for October. I am aware of the various continuity errors. Shit happens. Anyways, enough of me rambling. I hope you all like the video!
This video is made for both kids and adults. Kids can enjoy seeing their favorite characters on screen and memorable stories being remade or personal stories being told, and teens/adults can enjoy the production value/scale of the video.
