Nice. I've always liked the Streamliner era and Lionel and American Flyer made some real cool models. I passed on an American Flyer Zephyr and number of years ago, because i needed more AMT passenger cars. I shouldn't have, as it was at a very good price. I did the same with a pre-war Lionel slot car set. Neither would have broken my budget, but sometimes I can be a bit stubborn and short-sighted, on these things. An excellent video, as always.
Thanks! I am very partial to vintage passenger sets like the two you see here. Especially the M-10,000... There are two vintage prewar items I would love to find which includes the early Lionel slot car set as you mentioned, and the WWI 203 armored car with supply cars.
Thank you! Both are meant to showcase the trains in a vintage"Toy Train" look and period. One is primarily postwar, and the other mostly prewar with some exceptions.
@@richardgiammarino7568Sounds like your M-10,000 is from 1934 or 35. On the bottom of mine the word "gauge" is spelled incorrectly on the plate. You should check yours. The highlight for me from 1950 would be the 773 with 2426W tender. I'm assuming that is what you are referring to. I love mine with the last year of the passenger cars. Outfit 2148WS.
Awesome run session. 💯
Thanks for the visit!
Wonderful looking trains!
Thanks!

You have two great layouts, Al!

Nice 😊
Thanks 😊
Cool!
It's pretty hard to do better than beautiful prewar trains
I agree 💯%!
Al, have you changed your layout ?
This is my prewar layout (2nd layout) which is in progress.
@@alsvintagetoytrains7042 does your 10000 have a whistle ?
@@richardgiammarino7568 This one did not come with a whistle. It was optional in 1935 and I believe all came with a whistle in 1936 and later.
@@alsvintagetoytrains7042 mine also no whistle but found the Lionel 1950 Holy Grail last month in pristine condition.....
