Fast Flux Upscaling With Hyper-SD and Latent Multiply in ComfyUI

  • Lots of fun can be had when upscaling to add different details to your images, but those higher resolution can take some time. Thanks to Hyper-SD, we don't need that many steps, so generation time can be reduced. Add in some noise and latent multiply, and you get a little more control over the colours and detail in the final render.

    Ultimate SD Upscale also works fine in Forge .. tested it and the results are great ... also noticed something that even at higher denoising when upscaling the image maintains coherence as if Control Net is being used .. I suppose Flux has better understanding of the image contents than the previous models.

    Very nice for 4 steps!

    What's wrong with old nannies? It a natural progression that the young will be lucky to survive to experience, in my less than humble opinion. *giggles*

    Her skin doesn't look normal at all, 4 guidance is way too high :|

      Yes. I specialise in realistic AI art. This one has great detail...for an airbrush artwork. lol Definitely not realistic though. Sometimes have to change the prompt with Flux until it looks real.

      Yeah it looks uncanny, but I see the potential. Gonna try it out with some more cartoony/pen and paper style images.

      Many of the flaws are caused by the image generator, I've been trying mimicpc lately and the intricacies of the characters are beautifully represented.

    Curious if you are still on the 3090 (I am) or if you moved the 4090. As I'm writing this, I 'm realizing it's almost definitely somewhere in your description, but I know you love when Americans bug you, righjt?! They're getting as low as 1400 herre in the US. The 4090s, not hte Americans. Although we, too, did sink pretty f'n low in the early 1400's didn't we? pushing our vibe on the actual Americans, you could say lol. taking all the rubber from the rainforest, making the amazon into a book store... ok ok .. Anyways that's 1,069.94 GBP. thanks for the vids, patreon's really cool too - glad I joined. what eyes on that the lass btw. Nothing hotter than politics + 4090s!

    Does HyperSD work in Forge UI? I get some garbage results.

    I have an issue with many of my Flux latent upscales (your workflow included) where the resulting image has a sort of faint striping overlay. It's not a tile seam or anything like that. It's just a distinct vertical striping pattern that covers the entirety of the image. Have you seen this issue in any of your images?

    • @NerdyRodent
      @NerdyRodent  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, this is something flux does. At higher resolutions, it is much more prominent, so it’s best to keep the initial image resolution fairly low (under 2k). Any striping in the initial image will simply be upscaled! My 4k upscales are looking good so far…

      It's probably the high detail lora ... it gets a little bit extreme during upscaling sometimes lol
