thank you, so much. i can't tell you how much i appreciate such thoughtful words. i'm so glad to be making music and reaching people, and i'm definitely appreciative of people's comments and ratings. thank you to everyone!
So glad I favorited this so it could force itself back into my ears unexpectedly while listening through my favorites playlist. Back in the day when Jack still put up music, amazing stuff like this didn't have to fight its way up among creepy radiohead B-sides -- I just visited his channel! I miss those days.
thank you! i'm glad you appreciate the changing sound. some people get upset when the music changes, strangely enough. anyway, happy to know i've got your support! thanks!
Yet another Jack Conte masterpiece, this one slip by me. Uploaded in 2009, where was I. If I had all those instruments and effects, I could produce noise, no where even remotely reminiscent of a Jack Conte song, but I would have a whole lot of fun trying.
wow, i can't stop listening to this song! the first time i enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away, but i gotta say it really grew on me. mr conte delivers yet again.
This is an amazing piece of music and I love it. It has been in my favorites for two years and I always go back to it. Thank you for your brilliant work.
Probably my favourite so far. Absolutely love it.. takes me to a different world, quite possibly the one you were in while making this video! Great song!
OMG... Jack that was amazing... you gotta do a piece with voices only. Maybe like imitating the sounds of instruments with your voice... man you are so talented... and i'm so envious. Praise the Jack!
Wow 1) that was flat out awesome 2) you're getting better and better at something you're already very good at 3) every time you come out with a song you inspire me to practice more and more thanks very much keep it going
It's just so rad to watch your videos, from all the great music to the nice editing its quality all the way with you. Your songs always get me in an uplifted mood.
Oh man thank you for existing, producing vids that make me smile, laugh and wonder how somebody can be creative in such a great way. Tons of respect!!!!
Jack! I just discovered you, Nataly and Pomplamoose! You guys are AMAZING! It makes me so happy to know that creative talented people like you exist in this world! Keep it up!!
thank you! i would love to conduct a choir! i have zero experience, though! but how fun! i've written pieces for voice before, but i've never conducted them. ok, i think you've helped me figure out a new goal....
Dude, TV on the Radio is one of those bands that I haven't checked out yet, but have been wanting to check out for a while. If you have any song suggestions to get me started, let me know.
This has a lot of Radiohead moments, man. I know because I listen to Radiohead high and spaz out, and I had those moments here. Seriously man, you and Conrad Keely from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead are probably my biggest musical inspirations.
yes! the wurly is reversed. i learned to play the riff backwards, then reversed it using on ProTools so the chord progression came out forwards, but sounded backwards.
wow, song is like an insane ride of nothingness yet it finds it self in this beautiful frenzy. I have to sit back and listen to it again just to hear it for all it is. I do wish I could hear you a tad better yet it goes with the collision of stain glass you make.
The main vox took about two hours! between about 11:30 and 1:30 am. The harmony was the following morning. probably took another 2 hours. ish.... maybe a little more. i'm not sure!
ugh! i'm sorry. it's been a while i know. more coming. the tour was a big ordeal, but it's time to record again! i have some time to focus on VideoSongs finally, woohoo!
I loved the throwback nod to the Wang Chung video (everybody have fun tonight). Thanks, Jack. You need to come to Salt Lake, you would be well received.
man .. this song is exceptionally brilliant .. i might have said this on a previous video, but u just keep on .. coming back with a vengence! hehe awesome stuff!
Heh. Very cool song. I really like the intro. Can't wait until you release your next Videosong compilation so I can grab them on iTunes. Though I'd imagine that could still be a while away yet.
haha we did that on our last album too! Totally was David Lynch inspired... Love this new song like your others. I always hear so many influences of which maybe some dont really exist... but its the mark of a truly great artist. You sound like nobody else, and in todays music its hard to do that without alienating your listeners. Keep up the great work! very spacey/atmospheric and the videos are getting better.. Im jealous of your toys.... mmmmmmm-audio ;)
you'll be known man. your a one man symphony, and i wouldnt have it any other way.. This is amazing. *I like seeing all the faces, you do this thing when you draw out a note where you start moving your jaw "weirdly"? lol, anyway its funny seeing all of the faces do the jaw things April 23 was my birthday :D what a present! also, COME TO DALLAS!!!!
Jack: long time fan here. Can't wait to see you in concert. I'm teaching a music video production class at American University in Washington, DC this summer and would love to chat with you sometime. Take care, Dustin
It could basically be either, but from a percussive standpoint, it'd be simpler to write the faster snare parts starting around 1:30 as 16th notes rather than 32nd... unless I'm getting my transposition all messed up here XD
i totally forgot that you mention me in this video. oh my gosh... i love the weird things with your haaaaaaaaands! AH jack you're fantastic. come back to seattle already.
there is no doubt in my mind that The Disassociates have inspired you....and it looks like they have done a fantastic job. You're amazing man, from one balding 24 y.o. inspiring musician/ filmmaker to another. P.S.- im moving to LA in a month, we should collab on some songs!
hahahaha, wow, ok, sorry. yes, fantastic. i had so much fun at the seattle show... i really did. and probably the bestest part was chatting with you and the guys afterwards for HOURS. ugh, you're the coolest.
great song, makes my day! though it's 18:47 here in Leipzig and my nightshift starts in three hours. you always kind of show me what potantial is given us, human beings. can't wait till you come over the great water and play some shows in germany. we are waiting! (read it pronouncing the 'w' as a 'v' so it makes more fun)
thank you, so much. i can't tell you how much i appreciate such thoughtful words. i'm so glad to be making music and reaching people, and i'm definitely appreciative of people's comments and ratings. thank you to everyone!
At first I was disturbed by the spazzy movements, but then it becomes a bit hypnotizing...
miaou. respond if u get the reference
Hence nothing remains, except our regrets. ;3
Jettison G Harler lmao
I've been drumming for over 10 years and i must say the way you put together rhythms is even teaching me a whole different perspective. Great job man
So glad I favorited this so it could force itself back into my ears unexpectedly while listening through my favorites playlist. Back in the day when Jack still put up music, amazing stuff like this didn't have to fight its way up among creepy radiohead B-sides -- I just visited his channel! I miss those days.
6 years later... Hope this song enters your ears once again! xD
add some more years now :D
thank you! i'm glad you appreciate the changing sound. some people get upset when the music changes, strangely enough. anyway, happy to know i've got your support! thanks!
Its absolutely amazing to watch how you have progressed as an artist and grow into your sound. Its always a pleasure to hear you play.
Keep it up!
Yet another Jack Conte masterpiece, this one slip by me. Uploaded in 2009, where was I.

wow, i can't stop listening to this song! the first time i enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away, but i gotta say it really grew on me. mr conte delivers yet again.
Jack, you are EPIC ! A living LEGEND ! Thanks for the music and the inspiration.
This song is fantastic, the lyrics are absolutely my top 3 of all the songs in the world!
This is an amazing piece of music and I love it. It has been in my favorites for two years and I always go back to it. Thank you for your brilliant work.
Whoever said "They just don't make music like they used to" can suck it. Truly phenomenal, Jack.
why you are not extremely famous and well known and a legend is beyond me, your music is revolutionary.
Jack Conte I just met your music today. Buying your 26 song package. My new dream day: Radiohead ft. Jack Conte :)
"My Big Package" doesn't exist anymore, but I'm glad I managed to snatch it with birthday money when I was younger.
This is like the Police meets Queen, with Beatles style backwards tracks with Depeche Mode synthesizers, and who knows what else! Simple stunning!
Oh wow, I can't get to sleep so I hop on youtube and find yet another electro-awesome masterpiece by the talented Jack Conte. Kudos Jack!!
Probably my favourite so far. Absolutely love it.. takes me to a different world, quite possibly the one you were in while making this video!
Great song!
No, it's just a Rhodes Wurlitzer Keyboard. A really old one at that. He is just playing the audio in reverse. That's why it sounds so interesting.
If you you have been doing this in 90s nothing would have been different only you would be very rich now
he already rich before youtube and then he invented patreon now hes rich af
After near a decade, rediscovering Jack Conte and the old best songs. I'll enjoy the new too if they are.
not only is he a really talented musician, but the editing is great too
OMG... Jack that was amazing... you gotta do a piece with voices only. Maybe like imitating the sounds of instruments with your voice... man you are so talented... and i'm so envious. Praise the Jack!
to this day, my favorite of your songs. your choir is fantastically magical.
Wow
1) that was flat out awesome
2) you're getting better and better at something you're already very good at
3) every time you come out with a song you inspire me to practice more and more
thanks very much
keep it going
It's just so rad to watch your videos, from all the great music to the nice editing its quality all the way with you. Your songs always get me in an uplifted mood.
Lyrics. Fantastic.
Harmonies. Haunting and beautiful.
LOVE the little dance with the drums, hahahahaha.
As always, I'm charmed. 5 stars, Jack!
thank you pandora for playing this song one day like 3 years ago and introducing me to Mr. Conte......this cat needs to blow up
I'm completely in love with your music. You're one hell of a musician. Yours truly, sherbethead.
This music video and song totally gets my creative juices flowing and it makes me wanna make an experimental film :D
I love your work Jack!
I think this might be my new favourite song. Every time I listen I like it more and more.
Oh man thank you for existing, producing vids that make me smile, laugh and wonder how somebody can be creative in such a great way.
Tons of respect!!!!

The TH-cam indie music video bar as just been raised. Best of 2009 so far. Amazing.

Oh god, I never noticed the booger flying up into his nose at the very beginning. Seriously look, he spotlights it.
thank you! i would love to conduct a choir! i have zero experience, though! but how fun! i've written pieces for voice before, but i've never conducted them. ok, i think you've helped me figure out a new goal....

Dude, TV on the Radio is one of those bands that I haven't checked out yet, but have been wanting to check out for a while. If you have any song suggestions to get me started, let me know.
Yes! It's filmed in HD, it should work. You're right, i'll put an annotation!
Dude, you rock! I love seeing you create your music. And it's GOOD music to boot! Rock on!
This has a lot of Radiohead moments, man. I know because I listen to Radiohead high and spaz out, and I had those moments here.
Seriously man, you and Conrad Keely from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead are probably my biggest musical inspirations.
yes! the wurly is reversed. i learned to play the riff backwards, then reversed it using on ProTools so the chord progression came out forwards, but sounded backwards.
sweeeet jack. The video effects are awesome in this one and i love the effect on the snare drum
a bunch of stuff. there's an EHX bigg muff, an EHX Hog, and a couple plug-ins that are part of the "pluggo" plug-in suite by Cycling64.
wow, song is like an insane ride of nothingness yet it finds it self in this beautiful frenzy.
Great work Jack, featuring this in my blog in just a little while.

Heh. Very cool song. I really like the intro.
Can't wait until you release your next Videosong compilation so I can grab them on iTunes. Though I'd imagine that could still be a while away yet.

Once again, you're a wizard!
Keep up this brilliant and inspiring work!
I've got some serious goosebumps. Very visceral. Thank you so much for this! Especially today, hah
final cut pro! it's really good at multi-layering. you can do up to a hundred layers if you want, i think!
Jack you are one of the best things ever.
Wonderful. I love the eerie tones and drums.
Makes my toes tap and curl. x3
YES!! it's a wurlitzer 200, exactly. i found it on craigslist for a steal! took me six months to find.
I can't wait for this to be available on iTunes. ;)
Great stuff!
God I love it when you do Drum 'n' Bass beats.
Oh, I love your psycadelic vibe in your music. Fantastic stuff.
Awesome as always - hooray for more music that's not 4/4! Keep doing what you do :)
have you tried clicking "HD"? That might help. And are you sure your speakers are both working?
Jack: long time fan here. Can't wait to see you in concert.
I'm teaching a music video production class at American University in Washington, DC this summer and would love to chat with you sometime.
Take care,
Dustin
Sweet! you are the one who usually gives me the goals these days, so I am honored :-) if you get together some voices, I would love to see it!!
It could basically be either, but from a percussive standpoint, it'd be simpler to write the faster snare parts starting around 1:30 as 16th notes rather than 32nd... unless I'm getting my transposition all messed up here XD
Once again, thank-you stumble.
Awesome work Jack, as always. Inspires me to keep keepin on.

Damn... 7/4 time signature, eh Jack?
Well done, beautiful.
Staring at the Sun is by far my favorite. Satellite is another REALLY good one.
the music that u make is amazing and becomes fantastic seeing how!
Hey thanks!!! Many thanks!
Wow. It must have taken as long to edit the video as it did to record the song. Amazing!
great song, makes my day! though it's 18:47 here in Leipzig and my nightshift starts in three hours.
you always kind of show me what potantial is given us, human beings.
can't wait till you come over the great water and play some shows in germany. we are waiting! (read it pronouncing the 'w' as a 'v' so it makes more fun)
Great stuff as usual, from the song to the video. 5 stars

Matt
I LOVE 7/8. completely underused, and completely awesome.
