- Another cool project rescued a while back in Sweden.... It is now in France in great company !
That bus was abandoned 8km from the nearest road and there were no other solution to pick it up, as the area is national park and all motorized vehicle a prohibited in the Area ! The bus is a 1952 Standard Microbus with a very cool history =)

It was 7 Kilometers from the nearest road.
Window posts are f***** after that.
Salut @Florian George, j'aurais bien voulu savoir se que tu faisais après avec tous ces vans ? Restauration ? Et ensuite ?
i live in dalarna sweden
Seems like people dont know what these VWs are worth, you can easely spend $1000 on a helicopter on $100K worth of car
How did he drop the harness? you cut the video just as he was rising again.. did he have a release mechanism... There was no one standing below (and he didn't attempt to place it on the trailer... again!) so did he have a release trigger thingy? I have to know :D
Tim Korving the helicopter has an hook called a SACRU, semi-automatic cargo release unit fitted to hard points in the belly. This allows either the guy on the ground or the helicopter crew to release the load. Sometimes the load gets a bad swing on and this can potentially risk the helicopter . In such a situation the crew can jettison the load. We were moving a big aircon unit to a rooftop that started to spin and swing badly and the oscillation started to risk the helicopter. The customers were not happy to see it smash down to the landing point but just one of the risks!
"so did he have a release trigger thingy? I have to know :D"
Tim, that was the funniest comment I have seen on TH-cam. You made my day. Thanks.
Yeah, they tie a slip knot to an eye bolt in the floor of the helicopter, then run the end of the line through a side window into the cockpit where the pilot can give it a sharp tug in case he needs to disconnect the load. Of course, the pilot doesn't touch the rope until the load has first touched the ground, discharging its static charge built up during flight 🤣👍

where in dalarna did you find this? :)
is it worth airlifting?you seem to be a fan of doing so. aside from the fact you can't get motorized vehicles in the national park. curious is all.
YES - 1952 Bus worth a lot!
100 000 just for the rusty pieces...restored a multiple of that.
+egalf hell no boi.... and plus 100,000 what? dont make shit up dude a rusted one isnt worth shit... its only when u restore it properly is when it'd be worth alot

I really wanna know how fucking much that cost? it can't be cheaper then my last tow bill........if it is then I'm going to start flying every where.
MechRider89 1600 euros per hour
Just leave things be why does everything have to be rescued. Let it go
Lame lift...and couldn't even deposit square on trailer, because of such a DUMB harnessing job! Major fail all around👎
