Pat, I just looked up the Italian American who was a coach for the Mets! Cookie Lavagetto: The First Italian / American Mets Coach & Brooklyn World Series Hero (1962-1963)! He was with the Pirates, then the Brooklyn Dodgers. Dodgers from 1937 to 1941
