Thank you for helping promote a band whose fame is inversely proportional to their talent. At 63 I feel qualified enough to state that there has never been a band that has all the attributes these women possess. I don’t just mean musically, but also personality, warmth, approachability, respect and love for their fan base…and the list could fill this comments column. They’re not *Just* a metal band. They’re not *Just* beautiful, *Just* talented. They’re far, far more than the sum of their parts. They’re a once in a lifetime gift that only the foolish don’t recognise as such. I’m not trying to write poetry here, I honestly believe that these ladies are *the* best thing to happen to music in my lifetime, and I will keep saying it until I’m hoarse. Best band ever. Ever.
What you said is so true: only the foolish would disregard Lovebites. Or even try to nit-pick them.
From what I've seen and heard since discovering them just over 2 years ago, a little late, but better late than never, I have to agree with you 💯. Blew my mind then and still do now. Looks can deceive is an understatement

don´t get fooled by their appearance. one of thhe best bands around. stick with them. it´s worth it. in their backcatalogue of around 70 songs there is no bad, stale or mediocre song. they really are so special.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

They have more than 60 songs and all of them are formidable. Lovebites take references from classical metal bands from 80s and 90s, and write their own songs, including the lyrics. The 5 members are splendid musicians.
This is a comeback, first show after bassist Miho, one of the band founders, left them in 2021.
The new bass player, Fami, is in evidence because it's her first time in a live performance - and she is only 20 y.o.

This is the opening song of their first live concert after a two-year hiatus. During that hiatus, they lost their bassist (and band founder) and recruited the young woman you see playing bass here; two of them had babies; one of them started competing in bodybuilding competitions; and they wrote and learned a bunch of new music. Check out their recent album "Judgement Day", it's masterful and relentless at the same time.

Great review, subbed. You said we need more girls in metal? No, question is "can boys hang in there?". I totally agree with your comment that the guitar solos are not only quick but have personality. Yes their shredding is still beautiful music, got beautiful melody line. Many say the singer Asami resembles of Bruce Dickinson, and yes they are heavier Iron Maiden....and Judas Priest? Not sure what the issue is, but the sound from the video is really, really bad. That is a real shame, because your listeners won't get to hear what LOVEBITES actually sound like (i.e. freaking awesome). I hope you can sort out your sound issues for future videos.
I'm sorry, I got to 3 minutes into your video, and I couldn't watch any more. As well as the sound being terrible, the video itself was very jumpy.

Reactor has headphones on so won't understand how different it sounds. Mad Ang, listen back without headphones on and you'll understand what the problem is

@@MadAng66 The mix is converted to mono from stereo. Phase-cancellation gives the muddy sound & lack of clear definition. LOVEBITES sends all raw tracks from Japan to Finnvox in Finland for a specific stereo mix & mastering. Guitars panned to channel that matches side-of-stage where standing & drums spread across the spectrum as seen looking at stage. Bass & vocal centered.
