Took me a while to realise that this was a spoof documentary and I then began to think of Johnathan Swift. And surprize, surprize the great 18th century satirist name appeared in the credits.
That it was listed by channel 4 as a `news and factual programme' annoyed me. Maybe it would have been better to have shown this programme on April the 1st rather than July 24th!

yea that las tpart made headlines cuz of the controversy. people were pretty appalled on Channel 4. I'm in the US but I came across this and was like wtf so I looked into it. Gregg is currently in the dog house right now lol

2. Too many minds are unwise to face the fact that even if this is a joke, it is playing a part to prepare for a reality to come which is pure evil in all intentions when we look at the root of this said video and how it was presented
What I believe is most dangerous here is that, it could very well be that this has already been on the market with a disguise for months if not years, and this is just to tell us nicely that "ya'll eat ya'll for dinner". Sad reality.

Perhaps the most concerning aspect of this is that this programme was on television the other day and I saw it. It was kind of on in the background while I was doing something else. Because it was Greg Wallace doing his usual 'overawed chumminess shtick' I didn't watch or listen to it properly - I was glancing at it occasionally but not really listening. It just washed over me and all that occurred to me was that Wallace was being marginally more inane than usual.
On the basis that Greg Wallace and the sort of production companies that make these programmes deal in television that is cliche ridden, boring but most importantly for them, cheap, the most concerning thing is that I saw this programme out of the corner of my eye and didn't engage with it whatsoever or realise it was a spoof. Taking all of the above into consideration I don't believe that it does qualify as good quality satire or parody, it was just yet more white noise in our lives. Also how can Greg Wallace be anything but the butt of the joke here?
Finally, watching this clip properly, the acting by the factory manager is pants. Why is it at bad actors always appear to 'act'?

I'm sorry officer and colleagues. I hope you keep a lid on it and smother it before it spreads out like a wild fire. This wasn't acting. This was real but because the reactions of the people is so shocking they said it was a joke. If it was a joke people would've got it, simple as. I genuinely hope that you don't let this spread because it will be a global disaster if it did.
Something doesn't qualify as good satire because you weren't giving it your full attention? What absolute tosh. How can you make any sensible judgement on something you occasionally glanced at? This says far more about modern ADHD audiences and their inabilty to focus on one thing than what Channel 4 was putting on the screen.
@@Tannhauser62 For quite a while, I've privately felt that anytime someone breaks out "absolute tosh" it is an incredibly strong predictor that you can safely dismiss that person's opinion on anything. I continue to gather evidence.
It's not good satire when everything you've hitherto been involved in for over a decade has been some sort of revolting and patronising fart into the face of the audience, and for then for no apparent reason you suddenly squirt out a clumsy attempt at social commentary. I think far more poorly of you for entertaining the barest notion that anything featuring Greg Wallace is worth capturing the full attention of an adult human being.
As for ADHD, I'd recommend that you stop bandying the term around rather like you're suggesting it's some kind of "young person excuse for being a bit shit" as opposed to the well-established medically recognised neurodevelopmental disability it is.
