Thank you. Very informative! I'm hesitating to get a 3D-printed machine because of the high-pitched squeak caused by the friction. Have you figured out how to stop that?
I am not bothered by a high pitched squeak. The machine will make some noises as it spins but I have not noticed a squeak. It may depend on the type of PLA used to print the machine. The squeaks may also lesson over time and with lubricant. I have used sewing machine oil on my machine which may have helped with noises while also making it spin more easily.
You could, but at some point you will have to love the weight up the sock tube as you crank it. If the weight rests on the floor, then you lose the tension on the machine and stitches can pop off their needles.
Very enjoyable, can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks!
Your such a good teacher!!
Thank you!
Please do a tutorial how do do the heels and how to finish off the sock. Thanks.
I do have a video on turning a sock tube into a sock. You hope you find it helpful.

my needles aren't moving through the triangles but getting caught. tips?? thank you.
You might try moving the cams (triangles) up. The other thing that can make the needles stop moving is if they are twisting in their little slots.
I love your yarn bowl. Was that 3D printed as well?
It was. There are lots of patterns for 3D printed yarn bowls on thingiverse.
I attached mine to the table so it doesn’t wiggle as much and you don’t have to hold it. Great video though.
Is it possible to leave off stitches in a round on this machine, like how on some CSMs you can raise/lower a needle to skip that stitch?
Yes. I have seen videos of other knitters making heels and toes with this machine but I have not done it myself.
Die Maschine finde ich gut ich möchte gerne auch eine habe was würde so was kosten 😊
This machine cost less than $200 Canadian dollars
Can't you just throw your weight in the scrap sock?
You could, but at some point you will have to love the weight up the sock tube as you crank it. If the weight rests on the floor, then you lose the tension on the machine and stitches can pop off their needles.
