Exactly how do you measure happiness?

GNH. I just wonder how some of those areas can be measured with precision.
I'm not saying that GDP is precise, it seems to only measure classical economics, as the world has and is evolving in more complex ways.
    "Community Vitality."
Which communities? The wealthy gated communities or the poorer communities? In some cases, just separated by an interstate, a river, or perhaps a couple of sets of railroad tracks. Both will never agree on the degree of vitality in a given city, county or state. This reminds me of those tourist board video clips airlines show when you are approaching a city. All glitz. Shop , eat, play, consume, consume and consume some more. Golden sunshine and deep blue skies. Everything in fine because the tourist board said so?
    "Time Use."
How will that be measured? Consider the hours designated for work appear false. Many full-time workers in the USA (as an example) are not actually working eight hours per day. Yet they get paid for eight hours. So true productivity is at best, questionable. Also, black market activity is just a guesstimate, the activities of a great many people are difficult to account for.
    "Standard of Living."
Another category that is just too broad. Some people, if not many, want to and strive to live beyond their means, and if they can't achieve such, they consider their standard of living sub-par. Partially driven by deceptive marketing, consumers just accept without question. What about the standard of living of the millions that don't work in auto assembly plants or at ports? The so-called, "Vital and Essential" workers. Work that many people don't want to do, yet has to be done. Permanent underclass in the tens of millions?
    "Cultural Diversity."
Hated by many people in Europe, Australia, and the USA. Fascist ideology is making a comeback to the extent it makes WWII look like a gigantic waste.
    "Good Governance."
Corrupt political officials and the Lobbyist that control many of them will falsify those measurements.
Seems as if the world, per country, is too complex for any single method of measurement (GDP, GNP, GNH) of its economic activity.
