I'm more excited for Callisto Protocol than for the Dead Space remake.
So I have never played dead space I am on chapter 3 right now of it I’ve been playing it since the trailer for the Callisto project. I am huge into horror games and never thought dead space was one. I thought it was like an action game with horror elements. I am so glad I was wrong the shit is terrifying

Me too. Also because i finished Dead Space 1 on the hardest difficulty by running 🏃 and hitting enemy's apart from bosses-shooting. Got platinum and easily can say it is the hardest platinum/video game I have ever played. I wouldn't do that again, no way.
Try Hardcore mode on Dead Space. That shit is tough.

Hearing that there's 10 or 11 enemy types is awesome. Some may think that's low, but I know all of them will be fully fleshed out. Better than 20 half baked ones.
Exactly you just need a few badass ones. How many enemy types did dead space 1 have? Basic necromorphs, Leapers, Twitchers, the babies, the infectors, those tiny ones that split into different body parts, and the regenerator!
Interesting. I wonder what the bosses will be like.
Not to mention that 11 types doesn't mean 11 enemy skins. It's 11 archetypes.
Not to mention re7 only had 2. Molded humanoids and molded dogs. And people still loved it

Met this guy once I told him "thank you for dead space!" He was so cool he gave me a copy of WW2, 3 t-shirts and a painting he drew of the mountains... One of my prized possessions. Can't wait for this game!

I think it's fair because Dead Space was once in a lifetime game. Glen gave his best ideas to that game and shame... whatever happened has happened, and we move on.
Oh, absolutely! Dead Space is the perfect horror-action title, next to Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

I vividly remember reading about Dead Space in a video game magazine back in 2007 and being completely blown away by what was presented. To this day it's among the most legendary horror games I've ever played. I'm so happy this team is back in action.

Thats the question/answer that really caught my attention. Im buying callisto regardless of anything, but hearing that makes me excited even more.
aint gonna lie, dead space wasnt that scary, it was mostly jumpscares and stuff, sure the scenarios were creepy and monsters were grotesque, but it felt like a resident evil game, jumpscare here and there, but nothing more, still an amazing game tho, cant wait for callisto protocol
@@emanuelmendoza9613 Honestly you can only make a game where you have the ability to fight back so scary. I think that's why most horror games you can only run because it's far easier to make a game where you're powerless feel scary. Also why the Hunter in Dead Space 1 was so a good portion of that game.
@@emanuelmendoza9613 Dead Space’s horror was more about the literal ‘dead space’ inhabited by nothing but humanity and the brethren moons. No matter how hard Isaac tries he cannot save humanity from extinction. That is the overwhelming horror aspect, that you fight and fight, only to realize you’ve been fighting a literal force of nature that is always one step ahead of you.
I’m pretty sure we’re gonna be blown away the same way we were with dead space, which is an exciting prospect because we’ve become a bit desensitized lately

@@Destinychanged I mean for certain, he’s definitely one of the guys in orange jumpsuits. Which to me, sounds like an inmate. Almost in an odd way, it takes me back to the PS2 days with The Suffering.
For the record, I filmed this Rapid Fire and was SCREAMING internally that neither Alex nor Glen knew what the Ski Free Yeti was.

I loved Dead Space's 2 one-shot cinematography. Hopefully they still do some very unique vfx similar to Arkham Knight if they aren't going that route
4:21 one of the reasons I loved dead space so much is no matter how many times I played it and got upgrades I always felt as if I was vulnerable and I loved it 💯🔥
These Rapid fire Q&A are always fun. It's a shame there won't be spacewalking, those sections were really neat in Dead Space, but since it doeeesss mainly take place on Callisto, I guess I can't really be shocked, lol, game still looks sick.
Yeah, but we'll get our space walk in high definition in the Dead Space Remake, so we got both covered. And maybe there are somewhat of at least zero gravity areas in CP who knows.
The Callisto Protocol and COD WWII Zombies mode are great! Sure they are flawed but still great, no game is perfect!
I love that everything down to naming the main character Jacob is a love letter to Dead Space. These guys are going to have a masterpiece.

So happy to see Glenn got to make more games, he and his team are great developers, very talented and creative and it was devastating when EA made their dumbest decision ever (among MANY dumb decisions) and shutdown visceral, they didn’t deserve to be treated that way. The thing i enjoyed about Dead Space, and i am not sure if this was intentional, was how at the start the game is extremely scary, but as you play you get desensitized to the jumpscares, alongside Isaac getting more upgrades to his arsenal, until you just get used to it; Probably how Isaac got used to fighting the Necromorph.
Preorderd it without seeing much of it because Glenn's game's are always brilliant especially next gen immersion and sound,,

I was crushed when Visceral was shut down & Dead Space franchise was shelved, but I was stoked when I heard ex Visceral employees (Glen & others) went to another studio and began work on a spiritual successor to Dead Space (Callisto Protocol). This & RE4 Remake are my two most anticipated games.
I got massive Last of Us vibes from the combat we’ve seen. The slight zoom while aiming and wild running pattern from enemies to close space, even the way the character dodges in various ways and strikes with the baton.. Looks super clean and fun

Callisto always fascinated me, it has ice surface but water below it also has distinct patterns across it's surface that have not been well explained, I like to imagine there is some organism under the ice responsible
