6mm lens is a pretty narrow field-of-view (FOV) compared to, say, a 3mm lens which gives you a wider FOV. This is pretty important for your camera as you would usually want to capture as much information onscreen in any event. I have the 4-camera Bunker Hill DVR set, and they don't tell you that it comes with (2) 6mm lens, and (2) 3mm lens cameras. I didn't notice this until my final setup and noticed obvious FOV difference between rooms/viewing angles. You can also see the difference in lens sizes between Bunker Hill (smaller) and your Qsee cam. This is where the price difference kicks in as far as low light capability, TVL, and FOV.
I just started to install my old one at home and I didn't notice it when we installed it at the shop but I did catch it this go around when I was installing it at my home. The 6mm is for long distance and the 3mm is for closer wider range
I'm sure that will be a more than suitable replacement. I've read through the specs of many different security cameras, and I've basically come to the same conclusion: All of them say they're better than the rest, in order to get you to buy. As I've learned time and time again, often they are the same product out of the same factory in China, with just a different brand name haphazardly slapped on.
Agreed. I feel Q-See is better quality, but the price difference tips overall value in favor of the Bunker Hill. Neither will ever be confused for end cameras, so they don't have much expectation to meet aside from working. The biggest benefit of the Bunker Hill is I can handle replacement/warranty a few blocks from my house. My last Q-See camera went out a few weeks after I installed the system and it took weeks to get the replacement.
They are branded "Bunker Hill". Harbor Freight comes up with names for series of items at their stores. "Cen-Tech" has to do with wiring/electrical, "Pittsburgh" has to do with hand tools, and "Bunker Hill" has to do with security products.
Yes, it was good for about 3 years. Today my monitor just went out. It will only blink and now is totally out. I don't have paperwork, and the Harbor Freight store computer says that I don't have the extended warranty. So I'm out. It was good for a while.
I guess my thing is where to hide the hard drive. if they know you have camera they just need to trace the cables back to the hard drive and thats thats
Even if found you would have been emailed snapshots from the motion events. In my case they would also have quite a time getting to the hard drive. By the time they got to it the police would already be on the scene from the triggered alarm.
The system DVR can be setup to record any motion events the cameras detect. It can also be setup to email notify of the events, which will send snap shots in the event notification. In my case (I have a Q-See DVR), the events send a burst of still images along with the notification. It works very well. I've received notifications where UPS was leaving a package - Get multiple shots of the driver, and it's so instant that i've been able to use my remote app to view the live stream to see them walking away from the door and leaving the property. The coolest feature is that you can setup up the DVR to give an audible alarm when it detects motion. You'll get a loud audible notification before people even get to your door (assuming you have a cam monitoring the area). Spend the time to set it up properly and you'll be amazed how well it can monitor your area.
Q-See system has slightly better cameras, but for the price, I don't see alternatives that match the features of the Bunker Hill as it supports up to 8 cameras out of the box.
Jose Vidrio They sell for $34.99 at Harbor Freight, but nobody should ever buy anything from Harbor Freight without at least a 20% off coupon (almost always available).
anyone know where I can get a replacement bunker hill NV security camera wireless model 62367 or eqivilent. Cant find any anso far online and harbor freight doesnt sell them anymore. Just need at least 1 or 2 as one of mine has now malfunctioned
U know u probley can swap the wiring harness to the QSee cam, I have taken harnesses from cheaper cams and swooped them to good cams. I think they don't make replacement harnesses so u will by a nether camera, but check some will and some wont.

So u need to run that wire to the camera for it to work?
Gabriel Escobar Yes. To provide power and video.
How to stop Bunker Hill camera system from continuously beeping?
There is a setting for an alarm to sound. You will need to disable that to stop the beep.
how do you turn on the Night Vision?
Go onto the menu and look up on the settings on one of the tabs it will bring you up to the camera settings. Find it on that page.
What type of BunkerHill cameras are they?
