@@Anne-ku3lj Hi! Yes I did, ambient mode is great, but I doesn’t have a camera. You can change the color in ambient mode to match your wall color more, and it has also many artwork options.
Can you please share your opinion about how stable the TV is without its legs? Would it be safe to use without legs if you have small kids and a baby at home?
Hi Thank you so much for such an insightful video. I'm looking to get one and was wondering if this is edge lit or back/direct lit with full array please? Any advice would be much appreciated thank you 🙏🏼☺️
Damp micro fibre cloth should do the trick. My way of cleaning is by dusting the entire panel first including the edges and corners. Then proceed with a light spray of glass cleaning solution and wipe with micro fibre cloth
Where, oh where, can we find ANY reviewer who recorded ANY Ai upscaling TV's performance? With access, cam and tech, the same piece of media could be played on various resolution and a slowmo zoom in be shared for prospective buyers to compare. "The experts" on Reddit consider Samsung the worst in upscaling of the big brands, but can we even form our opinion without extensive access to multiple devices? There ought to even be an indiscriminative index that rates how close the upscaled (say 720P) image approaches the original 4K and 8K it was downscaled from. Humans will still have preferences of how the end result looks to them, but upscalers are striving to get as close as possible to 100% the original footage, right? It's a guessing game, but with training the AI will get ever better at guessing. I imagine there could be different categories such as pro football, car racing, podcasts, sitcom, Marvel, gaming, etc where an AI chip has certain upscaling accuracy scores. With great upscaling, a game can be played on low resolution and high framerate. Less 4G/5G data is needed to make a streamed video look nice enough. How to compare the brands and chip models? Reviewers tell us only that the feature exists....
You said it has AI. Oh dear. What about an internal camera? I noticed that it matched the blinds in your house. That means it’s not suitable for a bedroom then? Privacy I mean.
Also, what are your thoughts on the cables running out of the tv to the power point? I notice all the marketing images for it online don’t have cables running out of it, so it looks sleek, minimal and battery powered to stand alone. Shame the cables, ruin the free-standing aesthetic, I want it so bad!
The one we have is 55-inch. If you only have 1 single power cable to power the TV, it shouldn't be a problem as the box comes with a cable route to hide the cable. However, when you try to connect more cables such as HDMI, then you will stumble upon the cable mess problem.
It looks appealing to some. Samsung sell both standard looking Q60 and this, well, creative looking, The Serif (using same Q60 panel). It's all about personal preferences.
Samsung products are my gadget of choice but this tv is horrible I don't like it. I'm thinking of buying a new tv for my lounge in the new year I won't be looking at this tv I don't like anything about this tv. I don't like the legs underneath they look flimsy and weak. I prefer not to mount my tv on the wall I prefer to place it on a tv unit. I don't like the colour. Sorry Samsung this is a pass from me.
Love the serif. Actually looks like a piece of furniture. Just like a tv from the 60’s
nice one tor
I just bought this for outdoor use. It seems perfect for BBQ or watching games outdoors during family gatherings.
Great video, thx for making it clear, that it isn't for wall mount. Then it's not for me, but maybe for my mom, who loves a TV standing on the floor!
This monitor is on sale for $700 right now. Would you recommend it?
Thinking of getting this for my bedroom. Thanks for the detailed review!
Did you buy it? Ambient mode makes it look as though it has a camera to get it to match the decor behind? Has that been a concern in your bedroom?

Can you please share your opinion about how stable the TV is without its legs? Would it be safe to use without legs if you have small kids and a baby at home?
Well I wouldn't trust the TV (on its own nor the legs) if you have kids at home.
Kids are unpredictable
Can we use it as a monitor for Mac?
as long as you can get the HDMI cable connected, sure.

Great review. Just a quick check with you, can i use this to my Samsung Q950 sound bar? Would you recommend to use soundbar?
You definitely can use a soundbar with it. Just that you need to be creative on the arrangements
Thank you for the review. very detailed! I am just wondering if the stands are sturdy and whether this TV suits households with pets?
I don't think it is suitable for households with hyperactive pets or toddlers
Can you put iPhone on it?

Is the serif a good tv for next gen consoles??
The Serif supports up to 4K 120FPS with the HDMI 2.1 (port number 4 at the back), so the answer is YES.

No, it doesn't have any built in camera. The wallpaper is matched through the smartphone app by taking a picture of the wall.
I can't attach this tv to the wall right??
Unfortunately no you can't mount this to the wall. Buy the QLED Q60 they are basically the same but with different outlook design
