You oughta get into the hobby man. I been fishing since I could walk and it really truly never gets old. It's easily one of the best feelings ever. Even if I'm just catching decent bluegill all day it's still great but landing a monster will make you feel like a little kid!

I think that first fish you lost was a massive flathead. They are very aggressive and will go for lures like those.
