Very tip heavy rods that don't have ceramic guides, but there are a couple gems in the series imo... *GX2* 6'6" Light Action Spinning (2pc.) - Great multi species rod 6'6" Medium Action Casting (1pc.) - Good budget bass rod *Ugly Stik Lite* 7' 0" Medium Light Spinning (1pc.) - Great multi species rod
Agreed, like I said in the video the Elites are better than the GX2 but still have some work to do in the sensitivity department. Those are great picks, imma pin this
I have the elite baitcast rod and it’s a solid rod. I hate foam handles and I hate buying expensive rods knowing they’ll break. Medium/heavy 10-20 pound, great all round rod and it’s taking beatings like nothing. I’d rather replace a 60 dollar ugly every few years than replace a 100-200 dollar rod every few years. I won’t be pissed when it breaks.
The extra graphite also makes the rod a lot lighter. I mean, both are *excessively* heavy compared to a good quality rod, even the bottom of the line $100 Fenwick Eagle which is well balanced and feels like a feather compared to either of these, but in direct comparison, the 6'6" M Elite is way lighter than the same 6'6" M GX2.
Who gives a duck about their weight? That didn't even cross my mind when looking into a fishing pole. It needs to be able to last and it needs to feel the bite of the fish. That's it
Ugly stiks definitely aren't perfect. I like the elites and own three (spinner), I'm fairly rough on equipment and don't take fishing too seriously so they work good for me. I don't notice myself missing fish from lack of sensitivity, although I'm frankly not a great fisherman. I have a 6'6 medium that is mostly soft plastics, a 6'6 medium heavy that I use for whatever lure I feel like using that day (usually spooks or ploppers), and a 7' medium heavy that's only for frogs (very fun with a kastking speed demon lol).
Thanks a bunch 🤗 we can read a few indication on a rod like this : USSP461UL 4'6" ( 1.37M) Action: Ultra Light (2-6 lb line) 01H19CM ; Please i ask for this :👉 01H19CM what is meaning ?? Thank you .
Ugly stik has stepped it up Big Time! The Elite is a all around multispecies great rod! Better then the GX2 hands down. Ugly stik Carbon is the most sensitive rod i ever felt!
Hey I’m totally new to fishing bought my license yesterday and buying a rod today I was looking at the elite 7 foot medium can you use that for various species???
Been fishing for nearly 30years and I prefer ugly stik to any rod for catfishing or bass fishing. The light pro(40$-60$)and carbon(80$)are great rods for bass fishing and if you need extra catfishing rods they double back as a catfish rod. I have big catfishing rods too but I use my bass ugly stiks for both and I've never broken one in my life, not many rods can do both and do both well with no problems. They're not the best selling rods ever for no reason. Only other rod I've used that's close to as durable as ugly stiks are falcon rods.
I cought almost the state record small mouth on an ugly stick. In washington. I'm not a fan of ugly sticks these days my favorite rods recently are 13 fishing rods especially the omen silver, black. Series.

I think I'm gonna get the 7'6" medium light for steelhead (even tho there's a salmon/steelhead model) I don't want a 8 foot rod
I'm get the elite 2 piece
I love my Ugly Sticks. 30 years of service and never had an issue with them.
They’re so reliable!
Love my ugly stik ultralite rod for trout and various other fish in my New England fishing experiences..

I still have my ugly stik from kmart 30 years ago when I was 5, passed it onto my buddies little boy.

I love the Omens! I have 2 that I use in like every bass fishing video
