Force Echo's would be the best name for this technique. Dooku imparts a part of his force essence into pure energy and then converts it into physical matter, creating dopplegangers. Since it isn't his full power or essence but a small part of it, their weaker abilities can be explained as their power would be proportional to the amount of energy dooku imparted to them upon their creation, with them being unable to replenish beyond their initial capacity. It would also explain their subservience to dooku and similarity to his abilities and style. Its almost like fission, only dooku can replace what he gives off but the echos are limited to what dooku has granted them. It would also provide a method to prevent them from ever being a threat to their creator.
"Force echos" almost sounds like a reference to Metroid Prime 2. Though if it isn't. It's still a really good term. Apologies for not adding more to this. Nursing a cold. 🤧
This makes sense. My only thing is, shouldn't their be a recognizable signature in the force from such an abomination? Even if they're only a fraction of dookus power, that's still a quarter to at most half of his potential dark side signature.
It seems like to me that with this being deep legends lore the writers might not have gotten the opportunity to flesh it out, or it might've been outright abandoned or discarded; this sort of thing seems like it would led into a much deeper storyline because theirs no way that dooku would just use something like this to guard some miniscule bases, the opportunity here to toy with Anakin, and lure him into a trap seems all to tempting to pass up.
Him being able to break off a portion of himself with no threat to himself would give him every opportunity to snuff out anakin, knowing his arrogance. Anakin would have the intelligence to see its not him but not the humility to step back and let the chance at dooku slip by him. Then theirs also the added potential for ol Palpatine to use the entire ordeal to tempt anakin into seeking out unconventional means to find the real dooku, obviously against the good counsel of Obi-Wan or the counsel
Shame this wasn't fleshed out, this seemed like a great opportunity for anakin to be tested in his resolve, as well, and pushed onto the line before what happened with padma or ashoka.

IT is normal for the Sith to do horrible things and experiments. It is in character for Palpatine to do that. It is true there are several quite evil Sith Lords and Palpatine is the most evil Sith Lord
Not wrong but I'd vote for Vitiate. Sidious at least valued life enough to want to rule over all of it. Vitiate the type to be content even if everyone else is dead
In Canon Dooku before Mauls handicapping was meant to be Sidious dark acolyte but not sith apprentice it was not until Maul failed on Naboo and got beat so disastrously that only Dathomir magics could give him his potential, mind, body, and soul back that Sids considered Dooku for actual apprentice position but then he sensed Anakin but Anakin was not ready yet so he had to stick with Dooku for thirteen years until Anakin would most likely be able minded to turn to his side fully or close enough and then once Anakin got delimbed and burnt up he wanted to replace Anakin with Luke yeah.
But Luke never joined him.
Kind of makes me wish there's still a clone Dooku running around out there somewhere.

These dooku doppelgangers being the result of Sidious making use of some sith based alchemy to provide dooku with extra hands to deal with all the work of getting the clones wars up and running makes a ton of sense. Particularly given how easily discarded and killed they were, and were never to be seen again that they were after they had served their purpose.
Palpatine loves only himself and his murderous and evil doings give him great amusement hence all of laughing and cackling.😂😂
We all know that dookus the state of dooku's mental health was somewhat disturbing and he was getting deeper into dark side during clone wars at least partly because Darth sidius tortured him but why didn't this have greater effect on dooku?

@@trevturp6891 There’s a Legend of Zelda enemy called phantom ganon, similar to what the Dooku doppelgängers are.
There may be one more theory for this doppelgängers of Dooku,it could be Avatars that Dooku directly or indirectly controls,similar to how Darkseid from DC uses Avatars to enter the Multiverse,but of course this on Dooku is on a much weaker level and on a much smaller scale.

I wouldn't be surprised if palpatine and dooku didn't use anikins severed arm to create these doubles of dooku would make sense considering palpatine done this at a later date with luke's could have been the first tests.
But those doubles of Dooku were duplicates of Dooku, not Anakin.

These creatures sound like something that Darth Zannah would have found useful. It actually would have been an interesting test for her apprentice Darth Cognus. Someone who could see the future might be confused by alternate versions of her master. Now there would be an interesting story right there.

I am not sure I can cite a cause for this, but perhaps this explains (ret-conned perhaps) what Palpatine/Sidious did with Snoke, and the pickle-jar like set of Snoke bodies we saw in The Rise of Skywalker. Snoke was able to use powers and was able to appear as an independent being, but he was obviously not strong enough in the force to stop Kylo Ren from killing him... or even see it coming. Something that Palpatine (or even Dooku) would likely have been able to see coming. Maybe the same process was used on Dooku to create the clone-like and half-powered duplicates of Tyranus the way he would later use on Snoke. Not a clone exactly, but a dark side alchemy version of his apprentice... and later, his stand-in in Snoke. "I made Snoke..." - Darth Sidious. 🙂
I also think that it was some sort of a monstrosity created by sith alchemy. We have witnessed entire species being made artificially by the sith, creating a doppelganger sounds fully possible.
Early force sensitive clone attempts, bodys with their age accelerated and sith alchemy performed upon them that destroyed the body upon their death.
Now that I know this I think Dooku is still alive and Darth wrinkles was using him for his political standing and as a plan B for his immortality experiments. Therefore we never saw the original who is locked up where ever wrinkles left him and still alive, I am convinced of this because I like Dooku and other reasons I have not made up yet.
