You also need to have a filter that moves 1000 gallons or more per hour. It just won’t work for the little 300 per hour pumps. If anyone has had luck with the 300 per hour, let me know.
I have the same skimmer and whenever I attach the hose from the skimmer to the intake and use the stopper on the other intake port the pump almost immediately empties out the water the water level drops in for the basket that is on the pump do you know how I can fix that
I have the 1000gph pump, but the skimmer still works too gentle. I've added a rock on each bottom inlet (those with the black rubber) to reduce the incoming water and the suction power increased dramatically.
Also to add : This was a dual suction outlet pool. Standard now in the industry. And the other outlet has a flow restriction plug with a 1/4inch plug. You get these plugs when you buy the pool
Mine has a dual suction as well and it seems like because of this my skimmer isn’t getting good suction because the suction is being split between the two. Could I just keep the other one plugged all the time and not use it? If so, should I take that hose out completely?
Banana Dole Whip, I just setup this skimmer. My kit came with a 1 page supplemental instructions which seems to show that the white flow reducer should be installed in the second outlet line.
I have the same problem. Not enough suction to skim the pool debris. Did u put the sock filter on the outside of the basket.? Hard to tell from your video. Where did you get sock from and what size?
Brian Dressler hey man. I got like 30 stretchable filter socks on amazon. I put the filter sock over the entire lip and over the entire white skimmer basket and over the bottom lip to. So basically when you look at the skimmer basket you will have 3” opening the the water gets pulled through. Works like a champ. Read all my comments as well. Works so well now
@@Radiography14 And you also have to plug the other outlet with a plug right? That was the only way I was able get any kind of suction through my Intex Skimmer and actually see it working.

My skimmer bobbles way too much.. and I feel like part on the rail doesn't feel secure either

Seal up the diaphragm holes on the bottom on skimmer to increase suction.

How thick is that tape? I put duct tape but the blue part doesn’t stay still yours does. Also, do you get air bubbles in your pre filter?
Marquis Dionson it’s just gorilla duct tape. One layer around the circumference of the blue basket. Approximately in the middle
