Soul of Anbessa dubplates : Door peeper riddim (Vernon Buckley, AlmaJah horns, Guillaume Metenier)

Burning Spear's debut song, "Door peeper", surely remains one of the deepest roots reggae songs ever recorded, and still is one of my very favorite. Here are three exclusive cuts, recorded over the past few years, using the original Studio One riddim from 1969, with a few home made edits and overdubs. First, the legendary Vernon "Maytone" Buckley, with a vocal called "Pain". Then, two instrumentals "Sore weeper" and "More sweeter" (a cunning wordplay on the original title...), by my good friends the AlmaJah horns (Alex and Matteo) and the french Jackie Mittoo, the great Guillaume Metenier.
