Hi! Great video. I've been wearing the same Ghost 13 shoes for years and would repurchase if they were still available. Would you say the Trace 2 is the best purchase for me or the Ghost 15 if I mainly use them for training and just walking around?

Ive been training in the Adrenaline as gait analysis advised i needed support, but i believe these arent necessarily a marathon shoe? With a marathon 6 weeks away would it be advisable to try the Hyperion Max for race day (breaking un prior obviously). Im not particularly fast, aiming for sub 4, but obviously want to give it my best without risking injury. Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried the ghost 15 max?

I use the Hyperion Max for everything (i prefer a stiffer ride). A lot of people complain of injury , which makes me wonder what they used before the soft midsole trend .

Yeah, when I think back a few years (and I’ve been running for about 40years) shoes were always much firmer and I used to love the firm ride, especially for races! Now I’m all for the softer feel!

I only used at a store but haven't tried long it enough . I just want your opinion on the beast 23. It use the DNA 23 loft v3 like the glycerin. But I hear people say it's a more stable shoe then cumphort shoe

Ghost 15 gave me metatarsalgia. Hate Brooks. I changed shoes quickly as I could, but 2 months after still have lingering ball of foot pain, now even with other shoes. The drop is too much and the arch is lacking, making your metatarsal slide forward and slam into the ground too much. Because the heel cushion is abundant but forefoot cushion totally lacking, it encourages heel striking to get away from the pain, and I kept noticing during my runs, but couldn’t run normally because if I ran normally, my metatarsal would ache. So, end up heel striking more than I wanted to, and then of course hip and knee pain from all the heel striking. Just a snowball of badness. I’ve noticed other online reviewers subtly hinting same problems while trying not to piss off Brooks probably for brownie points and for free review shoes in future. Horrible shoes.

Not exactly sure what your issue is but it sounds more gait related than shoe. The Brooks Ghost for example is probably one of the best selling shoes in running specialty retail around the world, so surely those runners that try it in stores everyday around the world don’t have similar issues?
You are correct, some reviewers do indeed hint about the shoes, but remember these people are sent, free of charge, the most expensive and latest shoes from brands, have little running experience before the rise of TH-cam and are simply giving their individual opinion. I genuinely would have no hesitation in recommending the Ghost to a suitable runner based on their running gait after my assessment.
What are you running in now?

That's too bad. I had to return the latest Ghost Max shoe. So sometimes the Hype and Marketing is truly not what is about. Hopefully you find your ideal pair out there. For sure you'll find one. So many great brands out there. With 'widths' too.

Gl brooks. Are one of the best, This is one other but they run around $225 called Hoka that would be the only other option
