Northern Ireland is a fantastic place to visit. The Antrim coast is stunning. If you ever go again G Rathlin island, is well worth a visit, it's so peaceful. You've given me the inspiration to have another holiday there in September.
I did the Causeway and Carrick-A-Rede Bridge as a day trip from Dublin with my Dad, in 2015 on his last ever trip overseas (he didn't go on the bridge ^_^). His dementia was already getting bad and he brought all the kids and grandkids along for one last adventure (a party of 15 including spouses). He was DETERMINED to kiss the Blarney Stone, and he did, although the steps up to it nearly did him in! He passed away in 2021. Great memories of that trip and it looks like almost nothing has changed! Thank you, your videos are always enjoyable and this one time delightfully personal.
Great video G👍 You got further across the bridge than I did as a teenager on a family holiday. Only got about two paces in before I got dragged back by mum🤣
I can remember many many years ago telling my father is just been to the giants causeway, and he said to me what was it like , and I said.....it's just rocks dad 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I must have took a lot of pleasing back then haha. Great video as always
That extra Mile and all in a cool style with a stunning Great Smile, G shows us some great views on Train and a Bus great big Plus, and it must be a great place to be In, Thanks for another great Vlog and hope your enjoying Ireland , wish i was there ,take Care G
Bit late in catching this one as I was out on Friday night - I would love to see the Giant's Causeway one day, as I need to get back to Northern Ireland. It looks stunning, and I can see how much you enjoyed yourself. Rather you than me when it comes to that rope bridge though....!
We’ve got a similar rock formation here in Victoria Australia, the locals call it the petrified forest, as it resembles tree stumps from a forest long gone . Great video G
It's a shame the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge was closed when I visited last August due to high winds. Must do it next time and more such as take the train into Derry and Portrush. Some fab scenery. Great to see you do a trip out there. Lovely comfortable trains and the bus route was great when I did it with my family. Onto the next one. Keep up the good work with the vlogs you produce.
We went there last summer :) The bridge was terrifying. I loved the island though. The Kittiwake birds were gorgeous. I could have stayed there for ever :p but no, had to go back over the bridge. I'd recommend Derry too if you ever go back.
The most scenic part of the train journey from Belfast is from Coleraine onwards to Derry/Londonderry. Right along the coast for quite a bit. I really recommend that you try to go right to the end of the line, it really good.
Great vlog G ! My parents loved going on holiday to Northern Ireland (I was 7). I loved it. In those days there were no signs (or buildings) and was difficult to find but we found it ! Fantastic, we were at the giant's causeway and Dad told me the story of the Giants. Just us on the Giant's Causeway. Must revisit !
Cool to see😊 I went to Northern Ireland and the coast a few weeks back myself. Not the best weather, but it was all just lovely anyway. Stunning scenery. Cheers from Norway!
Loved it, I have visited the causeway, just the once, I took a day trip to Northern Island and hired a car. It is well worth visiting, would love to return. But, that rope bridge, I wouldn't visit even if paid to do so. Like a glass bridge there is just no way I would want to be there, so your video showed me what I will miss ... thank you!!
Rope bridge? No fear! But a Glass bridge? Well, I've cheerfully walked over the glass floor at the Blackpool Tower... so I probably will be all right with that!
I am not a lover of heights so when my daughter took me to that rope bridge I was quite happy that it was closed. We had a lovely walk on the cliffs though on that path which has beautiful views.
Giants Causeway is a wonderful must see place when visiting Northern Ireland just be careful when the columns get wet and slippery one can slip and hurt one`s knee 😏 hope you got a chance to visit the Dunluce castle as well :) Great video!!
Brings back memories. We visited Northern Ireland in 2022, attending these same highlights. Thank you for the great vlog. However, too bad you missed the Bushmills Railway from the Giant's Causeway to Bushmills. But that might be a reason to go back...
Hi Happy GLoves that's a good looking clean, and modern train, and also the bus. Interesting walk. The basaltic cliffs look great and so the hanging bridge. It was another fun trip, thanks, take care 😊😄♥️
Where I'm at, it's currently 94 degrees Fahrenheit with a relative humidity of 150 percent. Your video cooled me down at least 30 degrees. Another great one Gloves.
Absolutely brilliant video G! Loved the views and the bridge reminds me of the bridge at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall and I highly recommend going to that as it will most certainly take your breath away even more 🙂👍🏻
The journey from Coleraine to Londonderry is even better than the run to Coleraine. Try that one next time. Londonderry is a fascinating city too. Loved the video.
Great video as always G! Enjoyed seeing more of your Northern Ireland trip, it looks like you had a wonderful time. Beautiful countryside and interesting local history and always great to see the local transport. 👍
Don’t forget to visit Carrickfergus Castle and visit to Quarter House coffee. Best coffee in town. Love following your travels, with an excellent commentary.
perfect timing was next for me to watch after i cooked me self an omlett again so im fueled up for tomorrows keighley worth valley railway diesel gala trip since i didnt fancy doing a scrabmled egg
i live on the Northcoast your bus passes my house and i still haven't crossed the bridge last time i went around the coast they were charging a fortune lol
Loved Giant's Causeway, didn't love that the shuttle bus cost £1 and was cash only. Can definitely recommend the Enterprise Train if you are visiting Dublin.
GLoves Train i went on holiday with my wife to Northern Ireland Belfast and stayed for 10 days went on the trains and there really smart and clean and the prices are much cheaper went to the Giant causeway Londonderry Portadown larne Bangor Northern Ireland is a beautiful place to go to thanks for the video
Hi G, I've watched some of your older videos and you seem to be speaking now with a stronger version of your accent - did you tone it down rather earlier in your TH-cam career?
8:09 i wouldnt have the balls for that or even dare to do it given i hate hights unless i was to force me self to do it like i do at whitby with the steps to the church oddly doesnt make me queezy compared to watching Sainsbury cathedral spire climbs witch make me quiet squeamish think i lost me hights up the very lighthouse at flamborough bridlington that i hate with a grudge since its been automated to a craticular flashing static lamp replacing the sweeping beams ive known from childhood so you could say what use to be a childhood lighthouse that i visited is now a disliked place kind of reminds me of walking down them steep steps to a quirky beach witch wasnt acsessable untill theyd closed them steps off to make it accessible by metal steps and for some odd reason the long walk to the fog station down a steep bendy hill upto the compound luckilly it never went off when i got that close but thankfully had warning notices saying it can be loud shame the well known 2 blasts per 90 seconds is now 1 single long blast making me hate what was a childhood place nice video as usual G though
Shame you missed the most scenic part of the route from Castlerock-Derry, definitely worth coming back to check it out!

Another great video G, thanks.
What a great day! I don’t think people think of NI as a tourist destination but this looks stunning :)
Brilliant film G. Love NI and it's people.
A friend of mine used to be a tour guide up there.
Great video. Please do come back one day and try the Enterprise to Dublin from the new Belfast Grand Central Station when it opens later this year.
You are definitely adding items to my bucket list of places to visit.
Definably some stunning views! Carrick-a-rede rope bridge really looks cool to walk on being honest.
Definably! Its one of them things you gotta do if you're ever there

I agree, I think you should come back again to sample the Enterprise and come visit us in Dublin and various other rail journeys down south 😁
Good idea!
Beautiful scenery
Once Grand Central opens, the Enterprise will move out of Lanyon Place into Grand Central.
Be sure to ride the Enterprise to Connolly station in Dublin, which is worth a look round itself.

Haha yeah id deffo go Derry if I was to go back 😀
Derry is a nice city with plenty to do. Massive mural too that you can see from the city walls of the Derry Girls from the TV series.

Brings back memories. We visited Northern Ireland in 2022, attending these same highlights. Thank you for the great vlog. However, too bad you missed the Bushmills Railway from the Giant's Causeway to Bushmills. But that might be a reason to go back...
I went over there to the Giants Causeway a few years ago when visiting N. Ireland, love to go up there again.
That looks really nice. I'll definitely visit here when I go Northern Ireland, along with the Titanic Museum.
Great video, showing the stunning scenery of Northern Ireland

Hi Happy GLoves that's a good looking clean, and modern train, and also the bus. Interesting walk. The basaltic cliffs look great and so the hanging bridge. It was another fun trip, thanks, take care 😊😄♥️
Yes the public transport is great over there!
The entire isle of Ireland has an interesting railway network, including a very exeptional broad gauge:1600mm/5ft 3in. Nice spots to be there!
been here, it's amazing! There is also seals that sometimes come right near the causeway if you're lucky.
Great video G! Amazing views! I recently vidited here lasg summer! love the causway and that rope bridge aswell!
So lovely, glad you enjoyed NI and Giants Causeway 😊
Hopefully you'll get the chance to visit south and see Cliffs of Moher etc . ENJOY .

Haha ye it was the boot and didn't seem wobbly tbh
Home of the North West 200
Loved Giant's Causeway, didn't love that the shuttle bus cost £1 and was cash only.
Can definitely recommend the Enterprise Train if you are visiting Dublin.
Didn't know if you had pay for that bus or not 😂
It is a Translink service, but it is very hard to verify whether they have card readers installed or are still cash only.

Awesome vlog G, BTW, when are you going to be in the U.S?
Hi G, I've watched some of your older videos and you seem to be speaking now with a stronger version of your accent - did you tone it down rather earlier in your TH-cam career?
