So what is the best/okay polyphony count for a biginner/intermediate player? I'm looking to buy the roland fp10 or Alesis prestige digital piano which has 128 polyphony.
Both have plenty of polyphony. Roland to me, after playing acoustic grand for decades, has a better piano sound - but its speakers aren't that great and it will sound better with good headphones, or played through an external sound system. User comments indicate key action is a very good simulation of grand piano feel. Alesis Prestige will take a 3-pedal unit, which gives it more complete piano functionality. Piano sound is good, but not quite up to the Roland (however, if you only use the built-in speakers it may sound better than the Roland). Key action is also very good on this unit.
Beautiful sounding piano
What is the price range of a cheap 88key graded hammer action digital piano?

At the very beginning he said it’s 23 years old. Simple math. Don’t be rude.
