The metal pin with a bent end and a knob is a length of spoke from a bicycle wheel.
The whole thing would have had a short length of thread at the other end. It looks
as though it has been adapted for use as a bradawl.
I agree. Definitely a broken/modified bicycle spoke.
Yes I knew it was familiar but the pointy end threw me off. My brother makes his own bicycle wheels and that’s the same nubby end
I’ve seen pulley gangs like that in big houses communication bells for staff ring yes melord 😂👍✌️
😂 bike spoke no a pin 😂👍✌️
Bradawl... 👍 I didn't know that word. ( Or perhaps an awl).
I can’t believe that amazing poison was just lying there! What a lucky find! 😮
Hello ladies! Really like your new finds. The blue bottle definitely a great find…to find it not broken after all these years is amazing…congrats!! Thank you for sharing … see you next week…be well…🌹
Love your Wellies 😃👍 And everything you have found and the magic you make from it all, your a great team together 💕
The brass circular thing with a square loop on the back is a bridle rosette, it goes between the crownpiece and the browband of the harness bridle. That is large one, probably for draft horses?
Yay! Sunday with the girls and mud! Love it! 😊✌❤🙏
As always a great time mudlarking and finding some little treasures
Love the button on the Frozen Charlotte's head. 😁❤
Good evening, ladies! 😊
Hi Ladies! 😊
Great video as always. Love your finds.❤Thank you.☺️💐💐
You mentioned you tube " unsubscribing " and sure enough ... i had been unsubscribed ! I had that happen with a few people I always watch ! So ... HEY TH-cam ... LEAVE MY SUBSCRIPTIONS ALONE ! I'LL DECIDE FOR MYSELF WHO I WANT TO BE SUBSCRIBED TO AND WHO I DON'T !!!
I too thought to check and I had been unsubscribed also!! Thanks for the heads up.
Isn't that strange? Same for me and that's the second time. They're also removing the "thumbs up"... Makes you wonder if they are taking something/more from them.
YT sucks. They set their algorithms to do this if you use words (even by mistake) that they don't like
Same!! Twice for this channel. Wtf TH-cam!?!?!?
U-Tube did the same to me and then they subscribed me to things I'd never watch. Dumb people don't know what I like.
That is a FABULOUS place to lark!! Loved it. Beautiful finds, and as always you do such a great job of making everything look new again. Thank you so much my lovelies xx Teresa ❤🇦🇺
Love seeing your smiles, makes my day ladies.
That blue poison bottle is so beautiful! The shears, cleaned up just a bit,, would have been a fun decoration on a shed or barn as a bit of history.
Great show as always I love the old coins I love watching you two !!!!❤
While I started watching your videos because I am interested in mudlarking, I have really come to admire and appreciate your generosity of spirit. In this horrible world, you teach us how to find joy and beauty in the most unusual places…Thank and Bless you both, F
Nice finds ! The red reflector is made by Fairylite, pat no. 437651 foriegn pat no 818564. Note time 28:39
Love your ideas for filming. Watching you making the video inside the house while watching through the window.
Great finds 😊😊😊and s always I love the music you play, thanks so much 🙏
The brass round you found maybe fitted on the bitt part of the horses bridal the part on each side of its mouth. Maybe you had said that I am not sure. Lots of lovely finds the poison bottles were beautiful. Cheers. Blessings to you and yours.😊
I already commented but just wanted to say. I just love the way you film your videos. It's just like being with you, I can hear the water rushing behind and all the finds make it magical. You two are great. Cheers.😊
It's nice to see you girls.Gale I miss you doing the jewelry.
Thank you ladies fir taking me along with you today!! Loved it! You two are very adventurous cheers! Be safe keep creating❤️❤️🇨🇦
You probably already know you've come across an old dump site. I thought that colander was pretty cool. you could carry all your finds in it!! 🤠
No way!
You are right!
I had subscribed to your channel long ago.
So, I wasn’t concerned about your reminder to subscribe.
Well, I decided to check , just in case.
I was not subscribed!
Crazy. How did this happen?
Glad that you mentioned it.
Love mudlarking and treasure hunting! The best hobby!
Hello from Poland!
Great show, interesting river bank. ❤️🥝🌎
Lovely metal haul!
This has fired me up for a day out at a new location i heard about yesterday..
great finds and lots of interesting metal there... fantastic as usual Ladies :)
Love how that tiny doll manages go move around and get into every item . Lolol
I always wonder why the valuable metal was simply thrown into the landfill! This shows the huge abundance that we humans have been producing for a long time!
Wonderful finds!
Fascinating!
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me! I love the little metal you put as a hat on the little doll ❤😊
Bike reflector can be used in cookie making, on stable cookies that can keep form in baking ❤
I would love a pendant with the bicycle reflector in it!
Love watching you and your mom find such cool things.
Wonderful! I would love to go to England to hunt for sea glass and other treasures
Found a lot of really cool stuff love your videos
Happy Sunday girls 👋
Great finds as usual
The brass button was the perfect size for a hat for your photogenic frozen Charlotte.
Great finds! I sooo wish I could be in such a place, making great finds...but we have none in Sweden...🇸🇪
I always love your adventures. I would also love to see more videos of you guys making things with the stuff you find. Your both so creative and talented. Thank you for the wholesome content 😊
Funny about colander came back today from an antique gathering of 50 vendors across Texas, lousianna up to missouri. And they were selling the same kind of colanders for 38$ to 50$ usa dollars..
Great finds, I think the pin looks like a repurposed wheel spoke, Wayne.
Cette petite bouteille bleu 💙est vraiment très belle🙂👍
Ohhhh...the red glass reflector I love so much.
I remember when you made the Christmas decoration out of one and loved it alot.
Beautiful finds n goodies.. all the brass came up so nice.. lovely viewing❤😊🎉
i love wqhen you say ":metally thing" I like it so much better than metalic. sounds more free and like you found something unexplainable. such fun.
You should make a sun catcher, hanging, with the reflector. You could use several or add other items which reflect.
At 13:00 there is a lovely piece of faceted red glass when you picked up the rust piece with the coil of brass wire stuck to it. I really wish one of you would have noticed it. I was hoping to get better look at it. Thanks for taking us on your lark.
Wow, I really like your boots! I'm going to look for a pair just like them!
Cheers! 👍
Thank you ladies, I look forward to seeing your videos. You always surprise and delight me. I would love to see how you make jewelry from the things you find on the shore I think it would be interesting for those of us to see how much work is entailed in the beautiful things that you create that you put in your Etsy store I think someone like myself who is also artistic inclined would be thoroughly impressed with how you do your art.
Oh! I wanted you to keep the sheep shearers!!! Please go back and get them!!!
Great brass finds !!! More treasures for sure !! ❤️🦘
Hello Gail and Alex. Lots of great finds from such a small space. I thoroughly enjoyed the little lark. The piece of chain you found could have been a portion of a watch chain ?? Nonetheless it was a fantastic lark. Thank you both for letting me go with you.❤❤❤❤.
Some lovely bits and bobs, an incredible blue poison for Alex just lying there waiting to be taken. Another fun lark ladies, thank you for sharing ! Please stay safe and well, love and hugs 🥰🥰 xx
What a clean poisous surprise
That "pin" looks like a broken off bicycle spoke.
Loved the wave through the window.
C,Mon all you watchers , subscribe these ladies deserve 100 K ❤
Found you again! Good
I'm subscribed, but for some reason I have not been able to like any video's all day. My Thumb won't light up. What's up with that ? Love you Ladies. So here's your like from me.❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊. 👍
Wonderful lark, ladies! I think the pully-looking thing might be from a dentist's office-- the gdget that hols all the various (retractable) tools. The brass weird thing around the 12 min mark reminds me of a foot locker lock- like for the military. But maybe not quite. Ah- and nw I see my hunch was right(ish)
Thanks so much! Hope you have a great week- and cheers from Maine!
Love you ladies. Some great finds, i especially like the blue bottle. Love your hair Alex
Amazing
Ladies, remember your trowel! Hahaha. Thanks for another fabulous video.
Looking forward to seeing you create jewelry! Hopefully, soon! 💍
Thanks Gail and Kate. You had some nice success. Have a good week! ❤😊❤
Gail and Alex 😊
Boy that poison bottle was just waiting for you! I love that color of glass!
Wonderful video. Hello from Texas.
I found a picture of a naval sword made by Wilkinson Sword. It had a piece of chain on it.
Interesting finds lodged in that bank!! Great luck with the poison bottle!!!🥰🥰🥰
I am so ready for dice, that 100k is on the way 🎉🎉 😎✌🏼🤟🏼🖖🏼❤️
Lol, I see at 11:08 that Mum did dig the colander out 😂
That poison bottle just sitting there waiting for you 🎉
Another great video G&A! That pin you found looks very much like the remains of a bicycle or pram wheel spoke.
(Just noticed others have said the same).
great video girls lovely poison and love all the brass bits x
You should try some repousee and/or enamelling on some of those brass pieces (and let us watch along of course!)
I can't wait to go to Dead Horse Bay in New York this spring, with my sister. I love your videos ❤❤
Lubbly jubbly Another fascinating video ladies. You never fail to entertain with good content well done again Gail and Alex
Love watching you looking for interesting things. Please be careful using rusty things to dig out with. That piece you use to try and dig out the colander looked like it had nails as well! I hate to see you get hurt and get an infection.
I just subscribed to your channel. I am from Doerun, Georgia - United States. I enjoy watdhing your channel
I'm watching this video and at the place where you say people thought they were subscribed but aren't, so I checked, and I wasn't subscribed! So weird, because YT brings up your videos first for me as soon as you publish them, and I could have sworn I was a subscriber. Anyway, I just subscribed. Thanks for the videos! Your content is so interesting to me here in Florida.
Looks like fun
That poison bottle was such a lucky find! Love the fact it was just laying there waiting for you... I remember the ornament made with the red lens, now you can have two!
The pin looks old.. i agree, possible kilt to a kind of embroidery needle or in an old mechanical measuring instrument. Bring it to museum to see.
The blue bottle is Kobalt Glass 👍
Have to resubscribe every time I watch... Love your channels.
Think both of you need a utility belt at this point! To make sure your trowel is always attached to you lol
A crown is Five Shillings so a Half Crown is 2/6, two shillings and sixpence, which would convert to 25p. Great find.
I am mistaken. It would be 12.5p.
I am mistaken. It would be 12.5p.
Love that beautiful poison bottle! It being much older than the tip I wonder if it was sat in an old house that was demolished. Most of the stone on the ground all looked like quarried building stone. Keep up the great videos!
“BRILLIANT “ as usual ladies!😊
Vintage red glass is red from gold salts used for coloration.
10:50 is that a coin on it's edge, near the rock? 🧐 Great mudlark as usual ladies. 💖 I'm sure I saw a green button somewhere you were craping. Will keep looking.
That lens is beautiful
Were you able to save the daffodil bulbs? 🙂🐈🐈⬛💖🌈
Check the Red reflector with a black light. It might glow
I would have taken the daffodil bulbs home!
❤ I look forward to your videos wish I could be there ,it would be loads of fun !
Not that it matters, Alex, the pin thing at time index 24:24 is most likely a spoke off a bicycle.
