As a fake stylist, this is a great braiding technique. This is why hairstylists should listen to their clients and not view it as their clients criticizing them. The clients wear the hairstyles. As they style their hair daily, they vision how to perfect their hairstyles. Yes, they do want to share their ideas with their hairstylists but do not know how they might respond. Some hairstylists have sour attitudes when given instructions or advice from their clients. ❤
Sis thank you for not gatekeeping. Why haven't none of these so called professionals ever explained this? I do see it so much but I never really noticed exactly what was going on. And now I get why my baby braids don't act right when I get to that part of the head. Lol. I'm always so confused at that part. I watch tutorials but they must skip that part or at least I've never heard it.
TY! This makes soo much sense. I always make four sections, thn braid but it’s always awkward, nvr even and that’s frustrating lol. Will do this frm now on … thnx again 💖
@@tj7855it will look more even, aesthetically pleasing. it’s also easier to follow the parting and split it in two. that’s just my guess though, because yes you can do it regardless but w. these parts it’s simpler
I don’t get it either. Do what works for you, but I feel like the brick layering method looks better and lays flatter. You can do half up, and half down with any braids
Omg parting my own hair is so time consuming. Nothing helps shorten my time (perfectionist🥴) but this will definitely cut my time down. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I have a question. I have loong fine hair, could i get this done on my hair, and about what would it cost, ball park figure. Thanks. I just love this look for summer.
Thank you sis…I’m on my second set for my daughter I just need help making the roots sleek. But this parting advice is gonna help me so much because parting is so difficult for me.
You’re welcome! It was difficult for me to before learning this tip. For the roots I learned 1 the blowout needs to be good at the roots and don’t be afraid to add a little extra jam (or product of choice) to the roots to slick it down.🤗
No worries! So basically it takes the guess work out of parting. Ensuring you have cleaner equal parts throughout the head making for a better overall appearance
Yes, They all should be squares except the 2 I showed in the video. My middle section was never perfectly equivalent for squares forcing me to make random triangles and guess on the spot for parting. This eliminates both things I struggled with 😁
My dream job is to be a hair stylist and I want to know how to do box braids so in the future when I have a salon and people come and want box braids I can’t do the so any tips for a beginner
@@ChristiGo You know the answer to that 😂 I washed her hair the night before but it was late so she wore a ponytail to school the next day. When she did her edges the gel tried it (aka flaked) so no I’m not re washing her hair when she does her edges with braids too and It had zero effect of the final results ✨
Good Parting Technique Ig, but a tip those aren’t knotless they are box braids, I am a professional licensed cosmetologist and those are indeed box braids, so to help u do knotless try starting the braids underhand and braid the hair downward instead of upward so the hair stays down and in place, and for parts they are not really as neat and aren’t sectioned correctly so try and part going across in a straight line for a better look and a neater outcome 🙂🙂, again this is not harm, hate, or disrespect, This is simply constructive Criticism, and Tips to help you out 😊😊!! Hope you take this in mind it can really help 🫶🏾.
I’m a beginner too! So no harm in asking👌🏽 I don’t but I heard that you should. I’m looking into different hair and how to cleanse the hair. I’m just scared to ruin the hair by cleaning it first😩
I am a braider and that is NOT necessary. The "rainbow", which is one way to part it and thats at the top of the head from *ear to ear*. You're working harder than smarter. Your squares need work (neatness) and your braid-down also needs the same. I do love your hair prep tho. To maximize the pieces of hair you're going to use.

Well said
That’s actually a great tip! I’ve been braiding for years and it’s always nice to discover new techniques
I agree!
Omg, this technique will make it much easier to part my daughter’s hair and style it. Thanks for sharing!❤
You are so welcome!! I used to be struggling before this method lol
As a braider I definitely never realized this!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I just did this method with my daughter last night and I will say it was a great tip
Thanks for sharing your feedback! So glad it helped!☺️
Ugh. The geometry of it all!

Because they didn’t know i guess.
Im glad i just found this. Now I’m going to have to braid my baby’s head this weekend.
to be fair I've never seen anyone do this technique before and i stay getting braids
I love this parting pattern. I hope I can remember to do this the next time I do my daughter's hair. Thank you for this share!

I feel like the rainbow trick leads to uneven parts but I can see how it helps a beginner.
Do you have tips that one can use apart from the rainbow?
I need to try this. I spend so much time trying to get the parts right. This looks pretty simple. Thanks
TY! This makes soo much sense. I always make four sections, thn braid but it’s always awkward, nvr even and that’s frustrating lol. Will do this frm now on … thnx again 💖
Wow been braiding hair for years and never thought about doing it that way. Her hair came out nice 🥰
Thank God for the RAINBOW! ❤❤❤
Finally someone who explains it. Also couple you explain the sides and front as well?
Thank you!
This is great! I’ll definitely be giving this a try!!
Same here!!!
Ooo... this keeps it from looking thin in the middle. Trying it! Thx.
Thank you for giving the WHY. She should've done that.
Sorry - I’m so confused! Having the “rainbow” helps to facilitate what? Sorryyyyy- watched a few times. Not sure why I’m in “duh” mode today!!!
I don’t get it either 🙃
She said it helps if you want to wear it with half up (think top knot) and the bottom half down... instead of all up or all down
But like…how does it make it easier? Won’t the half up half down look the same rainbow method or not? Sorry I’m still confused

First of all I subscribed as soon as she said fake stylist!! I can relate 😂😂
Such a great method! I noticed in most braid videos the parting grids is more scalp than hair. It's great to give layers, especially with braids
Exactly!
😊Her hair is long n pretty already ❤
Doesn't mean she carnt have braids lol
What a great method! This will make my life easier. Now , I have to see if I can do this on myself!
Thank you and I’m going to try this. It looks like it cuts down the time and I like how it is laying.

Good idea! Thanks for sharing!!! 💜🙏🏿

I’m so glad it was helpful! You’re welcome!❤
Literally, I was just thinking about that and then she did the rainbow style
I do this all the time because it literally made no sense to go straight across…and because I kept messing up on the parts 😂😂😂😂😂
I have a question. I have loong fine hair, could i get this done on my hair, and about what would it cost, ball park figure. Thanks.
I just love this look for summer.
That's a beautiful hairstyle
I like this. I see these new braider don't do this. I like that I don't see so much scalp.
Girl you are one awesome hairstylist. You are putting everyone to shame girl 😊

Apologies as it wasn't clear to me what this method does, does it make the overall parting looking better?
No worries! So basically it takes the guess work out of parting. Ensuring you have cleaner equal parts throughout the head making for a better overall appearance
Beautiful hairstyle ❤❤❤
Great tip! Been practicing on daughter's hair. Looks great ❤
Kitchen Beautician is the professional title.

Very nice!!! ❤❤❤ thank you so much that
Thank you for sharing. Great work!
That’s a very smart technique I’ll try it .. thank you !!!!😊
Good Tip
Beautiful work! 🥰♥️
Nice!
So you go back to squares in the front? What’s the point of the curve?
Yes, They all should be squares except the 2 I showed in the video. My middle section was never perfectly equivalent for squares forcing me to make random triangles and guess on the spot for parting. This eliminates both things I struggled with 😁
GOD SAVIOR
I part in a upside down rainbow...
Beautiful 👌🏾

awesome,surely going to do this
She should try Sulfur 8 Shampoo for that dandruff 🫶🏽
Thanks for the suggestion! Lol it’s not dandruff though it’s gel that flaked earlier and I tried to get it out 🫠
@@BrittanyCollinsDid you try to wash it out though?

I need a tutorial on making straight lines.
Superb!
Beginner question…sorry. But…do you wash the hair. And any tips on doing so?

Hey, Im not a stylist but just curious. Whats the point of this technique? Does it save time?
Learned something new my curves or rainbow are always uneven😂
That looks better than boxes straight across.
You have been promoted(pouted lips)😅😅😅

😂😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤
Ill have to try this technique
A goddess. Trying this asap
Been doing this all my life
Nice!!!
I usually end up with a semi circle, but i gotta try this, it looks interesting
Same! Causing me to add random triangles on the top or side😅
Great job 👏🏾 ❤
