Me, Brian, Mom and Dad ate at restaurant at Rivers Edge many years ago. They had a batch of 7 week old blue tick hound pups. Brian didn't want to stop playing with them. He must have been about 3 yrs old. I believe Suzie and Brian have stayed there but think new owners now.
Stayed one night and felt like bugs were crawling on me all night! I have traveled all my life but never have I stayed in a more dirty hotel. They don't provide soap or tissues. They also don't clean their rooms inside or out! AWFUL place. Sorry I ever stayed there but couldn't get reservations anywhere else!
Im surprised to hear your review. I’ve stayed here for several years in a row for a week each year and it has always been top notch. Everything clean & staff friendly & very accommodating. I heard they changed ownership last year but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. It truly is a perfect spot to stay! Just a walk from downtown to eat, a gas station across the street with anything you might need from breakfast sandwiches, t shirts, water shoes, beer, soda, water, ice, chips,…and best of all, easy river access to hunt rocks, swim, or just play in water. I sure hope it is still the same!
